⁶ And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, with none to make you afraid; and I will remove evil beasts out of the land, and the sword shall not pass through your land.

²⁹ I shall not drive them out from before you in one year lest the land should become desolate, and the field animal be many against you.

²² "'I will send wild animals among you. They will rob you of your children. They will destroy your cattle, and make you so few that your roads will be deserted.

²⁴ He looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. Two female bears came out of the woods, and mauled forty-two of those youths.

²⁵ When they first lived there they did not respect the LORD. So the LORD sent lions among them, causing some of them to die. ²⁶ So they said to the king of Assyria, "The nations whom you deported and settled in the cities of Samaria do not know the customs of the God of the land, so he sent lions among them, and now they are killing them because they do not know the customs of the God of the land."

⁹ »‘You will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon (peace), and I will grant Israel peace and quiet during his reign.

²³ For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field, And the wild animal of the field will be at peace with you.

¹⁹ Also you will lie down, and no one will make you afraid. Yes, many will court your favor.

⁵ I lie down and sleep, I wake up, because the LORD sustains me.

⁸ I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, LORD, enable me to live securely.

¹¹ May the LORD give strength to his people. May the LORD bless his people with peace.

⁸ I will hear what God, the LORD, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly.

¹ A Song of Ascents. By Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. ² It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones.

¹⁴ He grants peace within your borders, satisfying you with the finest of wheat.

²⁴ When you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be pleasant.

²² When you go, they will lead you; when you sleep they will watch over you and when you awake, they will talk to you.

⁷ Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

⁹ No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous beast go up in it. They will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there.

⁷ I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

¹⁰ Therefore do not fear, O Jacob my servant, says the LORD, nor be dismayed, O Israel. For behold, I will save you from afar and your seed from the land of their captivity and Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease and none will make him afraid.

²⁶ At this, I woke up and looked around. My sleep had been pleasant.

¹⁷ And I will send against you famine and fierce animals, and they will make you childless; and plague and blood will pass through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I, the LORD, I have spoken!"

¹⁵ ‘»If I send wild animals through that country and they make it childless and turn it into such a wasteland that no one travels through it because of the animals.

¹⁷ Or if I bring a sword on that land and say, Let a sword go through the land, and I will cut off man and beast from it;

²¹ '"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'I will surely send four terrible punishments against Jerusalem. I will send wars, famines, wild animals, and plagues. They will destroy people and animals.

²⁵ And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and will send the evil beasts out of the land. And they shall dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.

¹⁸ And in that day I will make a covenant for them, with the wild beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the reptiles of the earth; and bow and sword and battle I will crush out of the land; and I will settle thee securely

⁴ Each man will sit under his vine and under his fig tree. No one will make them afraid! The mouth of the LORD Almighty has spoken.

¹³ The remnant of Israel will not do iniquity, nor speak lies, neither will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth, for they will feed and lie down, and no one will make them afraid."

⁹ The glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former, says the LORD of Hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says the LORD of Hosts.

¹⁰ I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow will be cut off; and he will speak peace to the nations: and his dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.

⁶ On the night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, with sentries standing guard at the entrance to the prison.

¹ Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁷ And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ⁸ Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things. ⁹ Whatever you have learned and received and heard from me, and seen in me, put these things into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
