They will be unclean until evening. ⁶ He who sits on anything whereon the man who has the discharge sat shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. ⁷ "'Those who touch a man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. ⁸ "'If he who has the discharge spits on him who is clean, then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. ⁹ The saddle on which he hath sitten shall be unclean. ¹⁰ And whoever touches anything that was under him will be unclean until the evening. And he who bears those things will wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening. ¹¹ "'Whoever he who has the discharge touches, without having rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. ¹² But a clay vessel that the person who discharges touches must be broken, and any wood object must be rinsed with water. ¹³ "'When a man's discharge stops, he must wait seven days to be cleansed. He must wash his clothes and his body in fresh water. Then he will be clean. ¹⁴ "'On the eighth day he shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and give them to the priest: ¹⁵ The priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering. The priest shall make atonement for him before Yahweh for his discharge. ¹⁶ »‘If a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body. He will be unclean until evening. ¹⁷ "'Any clothes or any leather with semen on it must be washed. It will be unclean until evening. ¹⁸ If a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening. ¹⁹ "'When a woman has her monthly period, she will be unclean for seven days. Those who touch her will be unclean until evening. ²⁰ And everything that she lies upon in her impurity will be unclean. Also everything that she sits upon will be unclean. ²¹ And whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening. ²² "'Those who touch anything she sits on must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. ²³ If it is on the bed, or on anything she sits on, when he touches it, he shall be unclean until the evening. ²⁴ “'If any man lies with her, and her monthly flow is on him, he shall be unclean seven days; and every bed he lies on shall be unclean. ²⁵ "'When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days other than her monthly period, she is unclean. If her period lasts longer than usual, she will be unclean as long as she has a discharge. It is similar to her period. ²⁶ Every bed she lies on all the days of her discharge shall be to her as the bed of her period. Everything she sits on shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her period. ²⁷ And whoever toucheth them shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even. ²⁸ "'But if she is cleansed of her discharge, then she shall count to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean. ²⁹ On the eighth day she shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting. ³⁰ The priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge. ³¹ Thus shall ye separate the sons of Israel from their uncleanness; and they shall not die for their uncleanness defiling my tabernacle that is among them. ³² These are the instructions for any man, who has a discharge or an emission of semen that makes him unclean, ³³ and of her who has her period, and of a man or woman who has a discharge, and of him who lies with her who is unclean.

¹ the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron:

¹ And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,

¹⁴ The Lord is the strength of them who fear him; and it is his covenant to display it for them.

⁷ "The Sovereign LORD will do nothing without revealing his secrets to his servants the prophets.

¹ In times past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets in many parts and in various ways,

⁴ "'None of the descendants of Aaron who has a dreaded skin disease or a discharge may eat any of the sacred offerings until he is ritually clean. Any priest is unclean if he touches anything that is unclean through contact with a corpse or if he has an emission of semen

² "Command the Israelites to send outside the camp anyone who has a serious skin disease or a discharge or anyone who is unclean from touching a dead body.

⁷ For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him? ⁸ And what other great nation has for it just rules and regulations just like this whole law that I am setting before you today?

²⁹ Let it fall upon the head of Joab, and upon all his father's house. And let there not fail from the house of Joab one who has an issue, or who is a leper, or who leans on a staff, or who falls by the sword, or who lacks bread.

¹³ "You came down also on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments, ¹⁴ and made known to them your holy Sabbath, and commanded them commandments, statutes, and a law, by Moses your servant,

⁵ He established a decree in Jacob, and established the Law in Israel, that he commanded our ancestors to reveal to their children

¹⁹ He speaks his word to Jacob, his laws and judgments to Israel. ²⁰ He has not done this for just any nation. They do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD.

²⁰ But just then a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the edge of His robe.

²⁵ Now a certain woman—who had been bleeding for twelve years,

²⁰ But, said he, what cometh out of a man, that makes a man unclean. ²¹ For from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, ²² Greed, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, haughtiness, folly; ²³ All these evil things come from inside, and make the man unclean.

⁴³ and a woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years which no one could cure,

² Much in every way. First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.

³ And on the eighth day the infant shall be circumcised:

²⁶ And you prostituted with the Egyptians, your neighbors who were sexually aroused, and you increased your fornication to provoke me.

²⁰ She lusted after their lovers, whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

³³ Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

¹¹ Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

¹⁵ To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are corrupted and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

²⁵ And whoever carrieth any of their carcases shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening.

²⁸ He who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. They are unclean to you.

³² And on whatsoever one of their dead bodies shall fall it shall be unclean; whatever wooden vessel, or garment, or skin, or sack it may be, every vessel in which work should be done, shall be dipped in water, and shall be unclean till evening; and then it shall be clean.

⁶ And on the seventh day the priest shall look on him again, and if the touch be languid, and hath not spread on the outer skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean; for it is but a mark. And having washed his clothes, he shall be clean.

³⁴ On the seventh day, the priest shall examine the itch; and look, if the itch hasn't spread in the skin, and its appearance isn't deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. He shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

⁸ “He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water; and he shall be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days. ⁹ And on the seventh day he shall shave off all the hair on his head, and beard, and his eye brows; and having shaved off all his hair, he shall wash his clothes, and wash his body with water, and he shall be clean.

²⁷ and with his right finger the priest shall spatter some of the oil that is on his left palm seven times before the LORD.

⁴⁶ "Moreover he who goes into the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening. ⁴⁷ And he that sleepeth in it, and eateth any thing, shall wash his clothes.

²⁶ “He who lets the goat go as the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

²⁸ And he who burns them will wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water and afterward he will come into the camp.

¹⁵ And any person who eats a dead body or torn thing, be he a native, or an alien, he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean.

¹⁰ The one who gathers the ashes of the heifer will wash his garments; he will be unclean until evening. It will be an eternal decree for the Israelites and for one who dwells as an alien in their midst.

²² "'Anything that an unclean person touches becomes unclean. The person who touches it will be unclean until evening.'"

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I go about your altar, O LORD:

² Wash me from my iniquity, cleanse me from my sin.

⁷ Purge me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

¹⁶ "Wash yourselves! Become clean! Get your evil deeds out of my sight. Stop doing evil.

¹⁴ the LORD Almighty has disclosed himself in my ears: "Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die," says the LORD Almighty.

²⁵ I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols.

²⁹ And I will save you from all your uncleannesses; and I will call for the grain, and multiply it, and will not bring famine upon you.

¹⁴ how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God!

²⁶ Otherwise, He would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

²² let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

⁸ Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

¹⁴ I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁸ But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a divine curse! ⁹ As we have said before, so I say again now, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed!

¹ Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, ² through the pretensions of liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron, ³ They forbid people to get married and require them to avoid [eating] certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and [fully] know the truth.

⁹ He must be devoted to the trustworthy message that agrees with what we teach, so that he may be able to encourage others with healthy doctrine and refute those who oppose it. ¹⁰ For there are many rebellious people, idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

¹ Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies that even deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. ² Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. ³ And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; from long ago their condemnation has not been idle, and their destruction has not been asleep.

⁴ For certain persons have crept in unnoticed--men spoken of in ancient writings as pre-destined to this condemnation--ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God into an excuse for immorality, and disown Jesus Christ, our only Sovereign and Lord.

³⁴ And Rachel had taken the household idols and put them into the camel's saddle; and she sat on them. And Laban felt around all the tent, but did not find.

⁵ "‘Those who touch his bed must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening.

⁸ "'If he who has the discharge spits on him who is clean, then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.

²⁸ But the earthen vessel wherein it is cooked shall be broken; and if it is cooked in a brazen pot, it shall be both scoured and rinsed in water.

³² And on whatsoever one of their dead bodies shall fall it shall be unclean; whatever wooden vessel, or garment, or skin, or sack it may be, every vessel in which work should be done, shall be dipped in water, and shall be unclean till evening; and then it shall be clean. ³³ And any clay vessel into which it falls shall become unclean, and you must break it.

⁹ "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!"

²¹ At the corner of noisy streets she calleth, at the entrances of gates; in the city she sayeth her speeches:

²³ May you turn to my argument! Behold, I shall pour out my spirit upon you; I will make my words known to you.

²¹ My son, keep good sense, and do not let wise purpose go from your eyes.

¹ Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

²¹ who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.

³⁵ "Do to Aaron and to his sons all that I have commanded you. Ordain them for seven days.

³⁷ You shall make atonement for the altar for seven days and consecrate it. It will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy."

³³ You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you seven days.

¹ On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.

⁸ “He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water; and he shall be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.

¹⁰ "And on the eighth day he must take two male lambs without defect and one ewe-lamb in its first year without defect and three-tenths of an ephah of finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering and one log of oil.

¹⁰ And whoever touches anything that was under him will be unclean until the evening. And he who bears those things will wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening. ¹¹ "'Whoever he who has the discharge touches, without having rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.

²⁸ "'But if she is cleansed of her discharge, then she shall count to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.

¹⁴ the LORD answered: "If her father had spit in her face, she would have to bear her disgrace for seven days. So let her be shut out of the camp for a week, and after that she can be brought back in."

¹¹ He that touches the dead body of any man, shall be unclean for seven days. ¹² He shall purify himself with water on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean; but if he doesn’t purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

⁸ I'll cleanse them from all their sin that they have committed against me, and I'll forgive all their sins that they committed against me and by which they rebelled against me.

²⁵ I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. ²⁶ I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you: I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and give you a heart of flesh: ²⁷ »I will put my Spirit in you. I will enable you to live by my Laws, and you will obey my rules. ²⁸ You will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers. You will be my people, and I will be your God. ²⁹ And I will save you from all your uncleannesses; and I will call for the grain, and multiply it, and will not bring famine upon you.

¹ Since we have these promises, dear friends, let's cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit by becoming mature in our holy fear of God.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,

¹⁴ "'If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.

⁶ "'When the days of her purification are completed, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the door of the Tent of Meeting, a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering:

⁸ If she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.'"

²² and two turtledoves or two young doves that he can afford, and one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering. ²³ "On the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before the LORD. ²⁴ "The priest will take the lamb for the guilt offering and the quart of olive oil and present them to the LORD. ²⁵ Then he will slay the he-lamb of the guilt offering; the priest will take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one cleansing himself, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. ²⁶ The priest shall pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand; ²⁷ and with his right finger the priest shall spatter some of the oil that is on his left palm seven times before the LORD. ²⁸ »The priest will put some of the oil that is in his hand on the right ear lobe, on the right thumb, and on the big toe of the right foot of the one to be cleansed. These are the same places he had put the blood of the guilt offering. ²⁹ The rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the LORD. ³⁰ And he shall sacrifice one of the turtledoves or the young doves that he can afford, ³¹ the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meal offering. The priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before the LORD."

²⁹ On the eighth day she shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting. ³⁰ The priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge.

¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, to the priest, at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

²¹ God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

²⁶ We need such a high priest {— } one who is holy, innocent, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

¹⁰ And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

¹² But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, "he sat down at the right hand of God."

¹⁴ Because by one offering he has made complete for ever those who are made holy.

²⁰ Thus he will do with the bullock, as he did with the bullock of the sin offering, so he will do with this. And the priest will make atonement for them and they will be forgiven.

²⁶ He must turn all of its fat into smoke on the altar like the fat of the fellowship offerings' sacrifice, and the priest shall make atonement for him because of his sin, and he will be forgiven.

³¹ He must remove all of its fat just as the fat was removed from the fellowship offerings' sacrifice, and the priest shall turn it into smoke on the altar as an appeasing fragrance for the LORD. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.

³⁵ He shall remove all its fat, like the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar, on the offerings of the LORD made by fire. The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned, and he will be forgiven.

⁷ And if he cannot afford a sheep, he shall bring for his sin which he has sinned, two turtle-doves or two young pigeons to the Lord; one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering. ⁸ He shall bring them to the priest, who shall first offer the one which is for the sin offering. He shall wring off its head from its neck, but shall not sever it completely. ⁹ He shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering. ¹⁰ Then he shall offer the other as an offering of homage in the usual manner. So shall the priest make atonement for him for the sin which he hath committed and it shall be forgiven him.

⁷ He shall offer it before the LORD, and make atonement for her; then she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. “'This is the law for her who bears, whether a male or a female.

¹⁸ and the rest of the oil on the palm of the priest, he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed. And the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD. ¹⁹ And the priest shall offer the sin-offering, and make atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterwards shall he slaughter the burnt-offering. ²⁰ And put it on the altar with the libations thereof: and the man shall be rightly cleansed.

²⁵ And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, for it was an error, and they have brought their oblation, an offering made by fire to LORD, and their sin-offering bef

¹³ and it will be for him and his offspring after him a covenant of an eternal priesthood because he was jealous for his God and made atonement for the Israelites.'"

¹⁷ and lo! a voice from heaven said,"This is my son, the Beloved, in whom I am well pleased."

⁶ to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.

³ The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

¹⁰ If someone among you becomes unclean due to nocturnal emissions, he must leave the camp and stay outside. ¹¹ As evening approaches he must wash himself with water. Then at sunset, he may return to the camp.

¹¹ Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires which wage war against your soul,

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

¹⁵ And he said to the people, Be ready for the third day; do not come near [your] wives.

⁴ The priest answered David: "There is no ordinary bread available; only consecrated bread, provided that the young men have kept themselves from women." ⁵ David answered the priest: "Women have been kept away from us as usual when we go on a mission. The young men's bodies are kept holy even on ordinary campaigns. How much more then are their bodies holy today?"

⁵ Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin my mother conceived me.

¹² “Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything.

¹⁸ Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

¹⁷ So I tell you this, and testify to it in the Lord: You must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. ¹⁸ They are darkened in their understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts. ¹⁹ Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more.

³ But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality or impurity or greed. ⁴ Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving. ⁵ For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Therefore do not be partners with them; ⁸ For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, ⁹ for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. ¹⁰ Test and prove what pleases the Lord. ¹¹ Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

³ For it is God’s will that you should be dedicated to Him, [that is], you should avoid sexual immorality. ⁴ that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, ⁵ not in the passion of lust like the heathen, who do not know God;

²² Flee the lusts of youth; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

⁴ Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

² »Tell the Israelites: ‘When a woman gives birth to a boy, she will be unclean for seven days. This is the same number of days she is unclean for her monthly period.

⁴ "'She must stay at home for thirty-three days in order to be made clean from her bleeding. She must not touch anything holy or go into the holy place until the days needed to make her clean are over.

¹⁸ "'If a man lies with a woman having her monthly period, and uncovers her nakedness; he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

⁸ Jerusalem has grievously sinned. Therefore she has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness. Yes, she sighs, and turns backward. ⁹ Her filthiness was in her skirts; she did not remember her latter end; therefore her fall was astonishing; she has no comforter. "Look, LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself."

¹⁷ Zion stretches out her hands; there is no one to comfort her. the LORD has commanded against Jacob, that those surrounding him should be his enemies; Jerusalem has become a defilement among them.

¹⁷ Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

¹⁹ For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.

⁴ "'Every bed whereon he who has the discharge lies shall be unclean; and everything he sits on shall be unclean. ⁵ "‘Those who touch his bed must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. ⁶ He who sits on anything whereon the man who has the discharge sat shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. ⁷ "'Those who touch a man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. ⁸ "'If he who has the discharge spits on him who is clean, then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. ⁹ The saddle on which he hath sitten shall be unclean.

¹⁶ delivering you from the adulteress, from the immoral woman with her seductive words, ¹⁷ who forsakes the prince of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God. ¹⁸ For her house leads down to death, and her paths down to the realm of the dead. ¹⁹ None who go to her return, nor do they reach the paths of life.

³ For the lips of an adulteress drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil. ⁴ But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. ⁵ Her feet go down to death, her steps lead straight to Sheol. ⁶ She gives no thought to the way of life. Her ways are crooked, and she doesn’t know it. ⁷ Now, children, listen to me. Do not turn away from what I am saying. ⁸ Keep far away from her. Do not go near the door of her house. ⁹ lest you give your honor to others and your years to the cruel; ¹⁰ lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich another man's house. ¹¹ and you groan at your end, when your flesh and body are consumed, ¹² And you say, How I have hated discipline, And my heart has spurned correction!" ¹³ I did not obey my teachers and did not listen to my instructors.

²⁴ to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife's tongue.

³⁵ He will not accept any compensation, and he will not be willing, though the bribe is large.

¹⁰ Behold, there a woman met him with the attire of a prostitute, and with crafty intent. ¹¹ She is loud and defiant. Her feet don’t stay in her house. ¹² Now in the street, now in the square, at every corner she lies in wait. ¹³ So she grabs hold of him and kisses him, with a brazen face she speaks to him, ¹⁴ "I have given my peace offerings, and today I fulfilled my vows. ¹⁵ So I have come out to meet you, to seek your face, and I have found you. ¹⁶ "I covered my bed with fine linen from Egypt. ¹⁷ I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. ¹⁸ Come, let us revel in love until the morning, let us delight ourselves with loves. ¹⁹ For my husband is not at home, he has gone on a long journey: ²⁰ He has taken a bag of money with him. He will come home at the full moon." ²¹ With her fair words she overcame him, forcing him with her smooth lips. ²² He followed her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, as a fool stepping into a noose. ²³ until an arrow pierces his entrails, like a bird rushing into a snare, but he does not know that it will cost him his life. ²⁴ Now therefore, sons, listen to me. Pay attention to the words of my mouth. ²⁵ Do not let your heart turn to her ways. Do not go astray in her paths, ²⁶ For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, all her slain are a mighty host ²⁷ Her house is the way to the grave, going down to the chambers of death.

¹³ The foolish woman is loud, undisciplined, and without knowledge. ¹⁴ She sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, ¹⁵ to call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways, ¹⁶ Whoever is gullible, turn in here! - and to whoever lacks heart, she says, ¹⁷ "Stolen waters are sweet, and food eaten in secret is delicious." ¹⁸ But he doesn't know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

²⁷ If you don't have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?

²⁶ And I find more bitter than death, the woman whose heart is snares and nets and whose hands are chains. He who pleases God will escape from her, but the sinner will be taken by her.

³³ and of her who has her period, and of a man or woman who has a discharge, and of him who lies with her who is unclean.

¹⁹ And thou shalt not approach a woman in the separation of her uncleanness to uncover her nakedness.

⁶ and does not eat at the mountain shrines or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, or defile his neighbor's wife or approach a woman during her menstrual period;

¹⁰ In you they have let the shame of their fathers be seen; in you they have done wrong to a woman at the time when she was unclean.

²² Avoid every kind of evil.

¹⁹ "'When a woman has her monthly period, she will be unclean for seven days. Those who touch her will be unclean until evening. ²⁰ And everything that she lies upon in her impurity will be unclean. Also everything that she sits upon will be unclean. ²¹ And whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening. ²² "'Those who touch anything she sits on must wash their clothes and their bodies. ¹⁵ And any person who eats a dead body or torn thing, be he a native, or an alien, he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean. ¹⁶ But if he do not wash his clothes, and his body, he shall bear his iniquity.

¹ " 'On that day a well will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and from impurity.

¹⁸ For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.

²¹ She will give birth to a son, and you shall give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.”

³⁰ It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.

¹¹ And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

⁴ But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

⁶ to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One. ⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

⁴⁷ To distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

⁵⁹ This is the law of the plague of leprosy of a woolen or linen garment, either of the warp, or woof, or any leather article, to pronounce it clean or unclean.

³⁰ Keep ye my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary. I am the Lord.

³ And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he has given of his children unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

²³ but shall not go in unto the veil nor come nigh the altar, because he is deformed, that he pollute not my sanctuary, for I am the LORD that sanctify them.'"

³ Whether male or female, send them forth out of the camp; and they shall not defile their camps in which I dwell among them.

¹³ Whoever touches a dead person, the body of a man who has died, and doesn't purify himself, defiles the LORD's tabernacle; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel; because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean. His uncleanness is yet on him.

²⁰ But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean.

⁸ "In cases of leprosy, be very careful to observe exactly what the Levitical priests instructed you. Carefully follow what I have commanded them.

¹⁸ If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened.

¹¹ '"As I live, declares the Sovereign LORD,' 'because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominations I will withdraw, and my eye will have no pity and I will not spare you.

³⁸ Moreover this have they done unto me: in the same day have they defiled my sanctuary and profaned my sabbaths.

⁵ And the LORD said to me, Son of man, note carefully: see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I say to you concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all its laws. And set your heart to the entrance of the house, with all the exits of the sanctuary. ⁶ and have said unto the rebellious, unto the house of Israel:Thus said the Sovereign LORD:Enough to you--of all your abominations, O house of Israel." ⁷ At your bringing foreigners who are uncircumcised of heart and uncircumcised of flesh to be in my sanctuary to profane it, my temple, as you offered my food, fat, and blood, so you broke my covenant by all of your detestable things.

²³ They shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

²⁷ And he shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. And on a wing of the altar will be abominations that desolate, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall pour out on the desolator.

¹⁷ If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

²⁹ How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

¹⁴ Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. ¹⁵ See that no one misses the grace of God; that no bitter root spring up to cause trouble and defile many.

⁴⁶ "'This is the law about animals, birds, and every living creature that swims in the water and every creature that swarms on the ground.

² This shall be the law of the leprous in the day of his cleansing: he was brought to the priest

³² "These are the instructions for one who has an infectious skin disease but cannot afford what is needed for his cleansing."

⁵⁴ These are the instructions for any kind of mildew or fungus

²⁹ This is the law of jealousies when a woman goes astray, being under the power of her husband, and is defiled;

¹³ And this is the law of the Nazirite when the days of his separation are fulfilled: He will be brought to the door of the tent of meeting,

¹⁴ This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent, will be unclean seven days.

¹² This is the law of the temple: On the top of the mountain, all of its territory, all the way around it, will be most holy. Look, this is the law of the temple.

¹⁹ "'When a woman has her monthly period, she will be unclean for seven days. Those who touch her will be unclean until evening.

²⁴ “'If any man lies with her, and her monthly flow is on him, he shall be unclean seven days; and every bed he lies on shall be unclean. ²⁵ "'When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days other than her monthly period, she is unclean. If her period lasts longer than usual, she will be unclean as long as she has a discharge. It is similar to her period.
