¹⁶ In the dark they dig through houses; by day they shut themselves in; they know not the light:

² If the thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt of bloodshed for him. ³ If the sun has risen on him, he is guilty of bloodshed. He shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

¹³ These are of those who rebel against the light. They don't know its ways, nor stay in its paths.

⁵ Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry out your belongings through it. ⁶ "Let them see you put your bags on your shoulders and carry them out in the dark.
