³ And I will bless those who bless you, and those who curse you I will curse. And all families of the earth will be blessed in you."

⁸ "'How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I condemn those whom the LORD has not condemned? ⁹ Because from the top of the rocks I see him, from hilltops I watch him. Behold, a people who dwell alone, they do not consider themselves among the nations.

² People will take them and bring them to their own place. The nation of Israel will possess nations as male and female slaves in the LORD's land. They will take their captors captive and rule their oppressors.

⁹ And it was said in that day, Behold, this our God, we hoped for him, and he will save us: this the LORD, we hoped for him, we will rejoice and be glad in his salvation.

⁴ Tell those who have a fearful heart, "Be strong. Do not be afraid. Look, your God will come with vengeance, God's retribution. He will come and save you.

¹³ For I have bent Judah as if it were my bow, loading it with Ephraim. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. ⁴ In that day I will strike every horse with panic and his rider with madness, says the LORD. And I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and I will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. ⁵ And the families of Judah will say in their hearts, The people of Jerusalem have their strength in the Lord of armies, their God. ⁶ " 'On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a pan of fire among sticks of wood, and like a torch of fire among stalks of grain, and they will devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, and Jerusalem will be inhabited again in its place, in Jerusalem.

³ Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

¹² And this will be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples that fight against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are standing on their feet; their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.

³¹ What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? ³² He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things? ³³ Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. ³⁴ Who is there to condemn us? For Christ Jesus, who died, and more than that was raised to life, is at the right hand of God—and He is interceding for us. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ³⁶ As it is written: “For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” ³⁷ No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. ³⁸ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, ³⁹ neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁶ But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
