²⁷ The boys grew. Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field. Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.

⁹ This is the ACCOUNT OF NOAH. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. He walked with God.

⁹ He was a mighty hunter before the LORD. That is why it is said: "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD."

²⁰ God was with the lad, and he grew. He lived in the wilderness and became an archer.

³ »Please take your hunting equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out into the open country and hunt some wild game for me. ⁴ and work me delicacies such as I love: and bring to me to eat so that my soul blesses you ere I die. ⁵ Now Rebekah was listening as Isaac spoke to Esau his son, and when Esau went to the field to hunt wild game to bring back,

¹ There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.

⁸ The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant, Job? For there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil."

³ the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? For there is no one like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. He still maintains his integrity, although you incited me against him, to ruin him without cause.”

³⁷ Observe the blameless, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

⁹ By faith he dwelt in the promised land as a stranger in a foreign country. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.
