¹³ These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, in the order of their birth: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael, and Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam

³ And Basemath daughter of Ishmael sister of Nebaioth.

²⁹ These were their descendants: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, ³⁰ Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, ³¹ Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael.

⁵ Woe is me, that I live in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

⁵ Black am I, yet comely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon.

¹⁶ This is what the LORD says to me: "Within one year, as a servant bound by contract would count it, all the pomp of Kedar will come to an end. ¹⁷ "The survivors of the bowmen, the warriors of Kedar, will be few." the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken!

¹¹ Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages where Kedar dwells. Let the dwellers of the rock sing, let them shout from the mountain tops.

⁷ All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.
