¹ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'This is what the LORD God of the Hebrews says: "Let my people go so they may serve me. ² "If you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them in slavery, ³ the LORD will bring a terrible plague on your livestock, including your horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep, and goats. ⁴ The LORD will distinguish between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of the Egyptians, so that nothing that belongs to the Israelites will die."'" ⁵ The LORD set the time: "Tomorrow the LORD will do this thing in the land." ⁶ And the next day the LORD did that thing, and of all the livestock of Egypt many died, but of the livestock of the sons of Israel not one died. ⁷ The king asked what had happened. He was told that none of the animals of the Israelites had died. He was stubborn and would not let the people go. ⁸ Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Take handfuls of soot from a kiln, and let Moses throw it into the air in front of Pharaoh. ⁹ It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boils and blisters breaking out on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.” ¹⁰ So they took soot from the kiln and stood before Pharaoh. Then Moses threw it into the air, and it became boils producing running sores on people and animals. ¹¹ The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians. ¹² And the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said to Moses. ¹³ The LORD said to Moses, "Get up early in the morning, present yourself to Pharaoh, and say to him, 'This is what the LORD God of the Hebrews says: "Let my people go so they may serve me. ¹⁴ For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth. ¹⁵ For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth; ¹⁶ but indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth; ¹⁷ Do you still exalt yourself against My people, that you will not let them go? ¹⁸ Look! About this time tomorrow, I'll send a severe hail storm, such as has not happened in Egypt from the day it was founded until now. ¹⁹ Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. The hail will come down on every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn't brought home, and they will die.”'” ²⁰ Of the servants of Pharaoh, the one who feared the word of the LORD made his slaves and his livestock flee to the houses. ²¹ and he that did not regard the word of the LORD left his slaves and his livestock in the field. ²² the LORD said to Moses: "Stretch out your hand toward the sky. Hail will fall on all the land of Egypt, on man and on beast and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt." ²³ When Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning struck the earth. The LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt. ²⁴ It hailed, and lightning flashed while it hailed. This was the worst storm in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation. ²⁵ And throughout all the land of Egypt the hail smote all that was in the field, both man and beast, and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field. ²⁶ Only in the land of Goshen, where the Israelites were, was there no hail. ²⁷ Then Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have done evil this time: the Lord is upright, and I and my people are sinners. ²⁸ "Pray to the LORD! We have had enough of this thunder and hail! I promise to let you go. You do not have to stay here any longer." ²⁹ And Moses said to him, When I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD: the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is the LORD`s. ³⁰ "But I know that you and your servants do not yet respect the LORD God." ³¹ The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom. ³² The wheat and the wild grain were not ruined because they were late crops.) ³³ Then Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to the LORD. The thunder and hail stopped, and the rain no longer poured out on the land. ³⁴ When Pharaoh saw that the rain, hail, and thunder had stopped, he continued to sin. He, along with his officials, hardened his heart. ³⁵ Pharaoh's heart was stubborn, and he did not let the Israelites go, just as the LORD had said through Moses.

¹⁸ "The elders of Israel will listen to you, and then you and they are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now, let us take a three day journey into the desert to sacrifice to the LORD our God.'

²² You are to say to Pharaoh, 'This is what the LORD says: "Israel is my firstborn son. ²³ And I say to you, 'Let my son go so he may serve me.' If you refuse to let him go, then, I will kill your firstborn son."'"

¹ Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says, 'Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.'”

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, "This is what the LORD says, 'Let my people go, that they may serve me.

²⁰ The LORD said to Moses, "Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; look, he comes forth to the water; and tell him, 'This is what the LORD says, "Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹³ The LORD said to Moses, "Get up early in the morning, present yourself to Pharaoh, and say to him, 'This is what the LORD God of the Hebrews says: "Let my people go so they may serve me.

³ Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, "This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.

²³ And I say to you, 'Let my son go so he may serve me.' If you refuse to let him go, then, I will kill your firstborn son."'"

² If you refuse to let them go, look, I will plague all your borders with frogs:

⁴ "'If you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your territory.

¹⁴ And if you will not listen to Me, and do not do all these commands; ¹⁵ and if you reject my statutes and if your inner self abhors my regulations, to not carry out all my commands by your breaking my covenant, ¹⁶ I in turn will do this to you: then I will summon onto you horror, the wasting disease, and the fever that wastes eyes and that drains away life; and you shall sow your seed in vain, and your enemies shall eat it.

²³ And if over these things you should not be corrected, but should go to me sideways, ²⁴ I also will walk contrary to you, and will strike you seven times for your sins.

²⁷ "'If in spite of this you do not listen to me and still resist me, ²⁸ then I will go against you in hostile anger, and also I myself will discipline you seven times for your sins.

¹¹ God is a righteous judge, a God who is angry with sinners every day. ¹² If a man doesn't relent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow.

²¹ Yea, God will crush the head of His enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks on in his guilt.

²⁰ but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it."

⁸ But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger.

²¹ Even though I have given her time to repent of her immorality, she is unwilling. ²² So I will cast her on a sickbed, and I will throw those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her ways.

⁹ Men were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory.

³ Then they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go a three-day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God so he does not strike us with pestilence or sword.

⁴ But Pharaoh will not listen to you, so I will lay my hand on Egypt, and bring out my armies, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

¹⁹ And the magicians said to Pharaoh, This is the finger of God. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.

⁶ But the hand of the LORD was heavy on the people of Ashdod and those nearby, and He destroyed them, afflicting them with tumours. ⁷ When the men of Ashdod saw what was happening they said, The ark of the God of Israel must not stay with us, for His hand is severe on us and on Dagon our god. ⁸ They sent messengers and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines and asked, "What shall we do with the Ark of the God of Israel?" They said, "Let the Ark of the God of Israel move to Gath." So they moved the Ark of the God of Israel. ⁹ After they moved it, the LORD moved against the town, causing a very great panic. He struck the men of the town, from young to old with tumors of the groin. ¹⁰ Then they sent the Ark of God to Ekron. When the Ark of God arrived in Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out, "They have brought the Ark of the God of Israel to us to kill us and our people!" ¹¹ And they sent and gathered all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to its own place, that it kill us not, and our people. For there was deadly alarm throughout the city: the hand of God was very heavy there;

⁹ If it goes up to its own territory, to Beth Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil; but if not, then we shall know that it is not His hand that struck us; it was a chance that happened to us.

¹¹ Now look, the hand of the Lord is against you, and for a time you will be blind and unable to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

²² "‘"At that same time I will cut off the land of Goshen where my people live. No swarms of flies shall be there. / Then you will know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

²³ No one could see anyone else, nor could anyone get up from his place for three days. But there was light for all the Israelites in their dwellings.

¹³ "The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you live. When I see the blood I will pass over you. No plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

¹³ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Sovereign LORD says: My servants will eat, but you will go hungry. My servants will drink, but you will go thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame! ¹⁴ My servants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you will cry out from anguish of heart and wail in brokenness of spirit.

¹⁸ When you return, you will see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not."

²³ I'll make a distinction between my people and your people, and this sign will occur tomorrow."'"

¹⁸ Look! About this time tomorrow, I'll send a severe hail storm, such as has not happened in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.

⁵ Then he said to Korah and all his followers: "In the morning the LORD will show who belongs to him, who is holy. He will have that person come near him. Only the person the LORD chooses will be allowed to come near him.

¹ "Why doesn't the Almighty reserve time for judgment? and why don't those who know him perceive his days?

¹ There is a season for everything, and a time for every event under heaven: ² a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted; ³ a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build up; ⁴ a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; ⁵ a time to scatter stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ⁶ a time to seek and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to throw away; ⁷ a time to tear, and a time to mend; a time to be silent, and a time to speak; ⁸ a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. ⁹ What does the worker gain in his toil? ¹⁰ I have seen the busyness God gives to humans to preoccupy them. ¹¹ He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can't find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.

¹⁶ Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'I'm about to remove you from the face of the earth. This year you will die because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.'" ¹⁷ And Hananiah died the same year in the seventh month.

⁶³ “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while He was alive that deceiver said ‘After three days I will rise again.’ ⁶⁴ So give the order that the tomb be secured until the third day. Otherwise, His disciples may come and steal Him away and tell the people He has risen from the dead. And this last deception would be worse than the first.”

¹⁹ Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. The hail will come down on every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn't brought home, and they will die.”'” ²⁰ Of the servants of Pharaoh, the one who feared the word of the LORD made his slaves and his livestock flee to the houses.

⁴⁸ He gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire.

⁵⁰ He cleared a path for his anger. He did not spare them from death but handed their life over to the plague.

¹⁴ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hard. He has refused to let the people go.

³² But this time also Pharaoh hardened his heart, and he did not let the people go.

¹² And the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said to Moses.

⁴ He is wise in heart and mighty in strength; who has resisted him and succeeded?

¹ He that is stiff necked and will not be reformed, shall suddenly be destroyed without any help.

⁴ I know that you are stubborn, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your forehead bronze.

²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

¹⁸ Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden.

¹⁶ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your staff, strike the dust of the ground, and the dust will become gnats throughout the land of Egypt.'"

¹⁸ "When the body has a boil on its skin, and it has healed, ¹⁹ and in the place of the boil there is a white swelling, or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it shall be shown to the priest. ²⁰ And the priest shall examine it, and if its appearance is deeper than the skin and its hair has changed to white, then the priest shall declare him unclean—it is an infectious skin disease; it has broken out in the skin sore.

²⁷ the LORD will strike you with the boil of Egypt and with the tumours, the scurvy and the itch, from which you cannot be healed.

³⁵ The LORD shall strike you in the knees, and in the legs, with painful boils that cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot unto the top of your head.

⁷ So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful sores from the sole of his foot to his head.

² So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and foul and loathsome sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshipped his image.

¹¹ Then Pharaoh sent for his wise men and sorcerers. These Egyptian magicians did the same thing using their magic spells. ¹² So each one threw down his staff and it became a serpent, but Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.

¹⁸ And the scribes did so with their sorceries, to bring forth gnats; but they could not. And the gnats were on man and on beast. ¹⁹ And the magicians said to Pharaoh, This is the finger of God. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.

¹² Stand now among your spells, and with your many sorceries, in which you have wearied yourself since your youth. Perhaps you will be able to profit; perhaps may cause quaking. ¹³ You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Let now the astrologers, the star-gazers, the knowers from the new moons, stand up and save you from the things that will come upon you. ¹⁴ "Surely they are like stubble. The fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. Here are no coals to warm anyone and no fire to sit by.

⁸ Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth—men of depraved mind, disqualified as regards the faith— ⁹ But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those two men, their stupidity will be plain to everyone.

²¹ the LORD said to Moses: "When you go back to Egypt see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have put in your power. I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go."

¹³ And Pharaoh's heart was hard, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said. ¹⁴ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hard. He has refused to let the people go.

¹¹ But my people would not listen to my voice; and Israel would none of me. ¹² "Therefore I gave them over to their stubborn hearts. They walked in their own counsel.

¹⁰ The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness; men gnawed their tongues in agony ¹¹ and cursed the God of heaven because of their sufferings and sores, but they would not repent of what they had done.

¹⁵ Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he's going down to the water. Stand on the bank of the Nile and meet him,. Be sure to take with you the staff that was turned into a snake.

¹ Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'This is what the LORD God of the Hebrews says: "Let my people go so they may serve me.

¹⁰ Pharaoh said, "Tomorrow." Moses said, "It will be just as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.

¹⁸ "'If you still will not listen to me, I will discipline you seven times for your sins.

²¹ If you walk contrary to me, and will not hearken to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you for your sins.

²⁸ then I will go against you in hostile anger, and also I myself will discipline you seven times for your sins.

¹⁵ "But if you don't obey the LORD your God and faithfully carry out all his commands and statutes that I'm giving you today, then all these curses will come upon you and overwhelm you. ¹⁶ You shall be cursed in the city, and cursed in the field. ¹⁷ Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.

⁵⁹ then he will inflict extraordinary plagues on you and your children, great and lasting plagues, and severe and lasting illnesses. ⁶⁰ "He will bring all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded. They will cling to you. ⁶¹ "the LORD will also bring you every kind of sickness and plague not written in this Book of the Law. They will continue until you are dead.

²⁰ the LORD will never be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the LORD and / His jealousy will burn against that man. Every curse which is written in this book will rest on him. the LORD will blot out his name from under heaven. ²¹ The LORD will set him apart from all the tribes of Israel for destruction, according to the curses of the covenant that were written in this book of the Law." ²² »The next generation of your children and foreigners who come from distant countries will see the plagues that have happened in this land and the diseases the LORD sent here.

³⁹ See, now, that I, even I am he, and there is not a god besides me; I put to death and I give life; I wound and I heal; there is not one who delivers from my hand! ⁴⁰ For I lift up My hand to heaven and say, as surely as I live forever, ⁴¹ if I sharpen my glittering sword, my hand grasps it in judgment; I will take vengeance on my adversaries, and will repay those who hate me. ⁴² I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh, of the blood of the slain and of the captivity, of the bare head of the enemies.

⁸ Woe to us! Who will deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the desert.

²² Therefore you are great, my Sovereign LORD, for there is no one like you, and there is no god except you, in all that we have heard with our ears.

³⁸ Whatsoever prayer and supplication be made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall know every man the affliction of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

²⁰ "There is no one like you the LORD and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.

⁸ Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; none are like Your works.

⁹ "Remember the former things, the things of long ago. I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is none like me.

⁶ There is no one like you, O Lord; you are great and your name is great in power.

⁸ I'll make this city into a desolate place and an object of scorn. All who pass by it will be astonished and will scoff because of all its wounds.

¹³ Therefore will I begin to smite you; I will destroy you in your sins.

⁸ Therefore in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

¹⁸ I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,

²⁰ "So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders that I will do in it’s midst. After that he will let you go.

³ the LORD will bring a terrible plague on your livestock, including your horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep, and goats.

⁶ And the next day the LORD did that thing, and of all the livestock of Egypt many died, but of the livestock of the sons of Israel not one died.

¹⁶ but indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth;

⁴ And Moses said, "This is what the LORD says: 'About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt, ⁵ and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne to the firstborn of the slave girl who operates the hand mill, along with the firstborn of the animals. ⁶ There will be a great cry throughout the land of Egypt, like there has never been and never will be again.

²⁹ And so at midnight the LORD struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock. ³⁰ Pharaoh got up during the night, he, all his officials, and all the Egyptians, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead in it.

²⁸ The water returned and covered the chariots, the drivers, and all the Egyptian army that had followed the Israelites into the sea. None of them were left.

³⁴ This was the sin of the house of Jeroboam. It brought about its ruin and total destruction from the face of the earth.

²² But the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be uprooted from it.

⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue you. And I will be honored through Pharaoh, and through all his armies. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

¹⁷ "I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. I will be honored through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen.

¹¹ "Who is like you among the gods, LORD! Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in splendor, and working wonders! ¹² You stretched out your right hand, and the earth swallowed them. ¹³ In your loyal love you led the people whom you redeemed; in your strength you guided them to the abode of your holiness. ¹⁴ The nations heard, and were afraid. Pangs came upon the Philistines. ¹⁵ Then the chiefs of Edom were terrified; the leaders of Moab were seized by trembling; all the dwellers of Canaan were melted. ¹⁶ Terror and dread falls on them. By the greatness of your arm they are as still as a stone, until your people pass over, the LORD, until the people you have purchased pass over.

¹¹ Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods because of the way that they treated people arrogantly.”

¹⁰ For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the reed sea before you, when you came out of Egypt, and what you did unto the two kings of the Amorites on the other side Jordan; Sihon, and Og, which ye utterly destroyed. ¹¹ When we heard these reports, we all became terrified and discouraged because of you, for the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath.

²⁴ Declare his glory among the nations; his marvelous works among all peoples.

⁹ All mankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.

¹⁷ Shame and terrify them eternally; yes, that they blush and destruct; ¹⁸ And let them know Your name is the LORD, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

¹⁰ to Him who struck down the Egyptian firstborn; for His grace endures forever; ¹¹ and brought Israel out from among them; for His mercy endures forever; ¹² With a mighty hand and stretched-out arm! For his mercy endureth forever. ¹³ to Him who divided the Red Sea apart; for His grace endures forever; ¹⁴ and brought Israel through the midst of it; for His mercy endures forever; ¹⁵ but threw Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea; for His mercy endures forever.

⁴ The LORD has made everything for its own end—yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.

¹² Who caused his glorious arm to be at Moses' right hand? Who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name? ¹³ Who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, so that they didn’t stumble? ¹⁴ As the cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused them to rest. So you led your people to make yourself a glorious name.

¹¹ For from the east to the west, My name shall be great among the nations, and everywhere incense shall be offered to My name; and a pure food offering; for My name shall be great among the nations, says the LORD of hosts.

¹⁴ "Cursed is the one who cheats, who has in his flock a male and vows it, but instead sacrifices a blemished one to the Lord! For I am a great king," says the LORD of hosts, "and my name is awesome among the nations."

¹⁷ For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

²² What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction?

⁸ and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall;" they stumble because they disobey the wordas they were desstined to do.

¹⁹ For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.

⁴ For certain persons have crept in unnoticed--men spoken of in ancient writings as pre-destined to this condemnation--ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God into an excuse for immorality, and disown Jesus Christ, our only Sovereign and Lord.

²⁵ because he stretches out his hand against God, and sets himself against the Almighty. ²⁶ "He defiantly charges against him with a thick, strong shield.

⁹ "Do you have an arm (power) like God's? Can your voice thunder like his?

¹⁵ Shall the axe boast itself against him who hews with it? Shall the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield those who lift it up, [or] as if a staff should lift up [him who is] not wood.

¹¹ O LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame. Let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.

²³ "Who is it you have insulted and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? It is against the Holy One of Israel! ²⁴ "By your messengers you have heaped insults on the LORD. You said: With my many chariots I have ascended the heights of the mountains, the utmost heights of Lebanon. I cut down its tallest cedars, the choicest of its pines. I reach its remotest heights, the finest of its forests.

²⁹ "For the reason that you rage against me and because your insolence (arrogance) has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth. I will make you return by the way you came."

⁹ Woe to him who fights with the One who formed him! A potsherd among the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to its former, What are you making? Or does your work say, He has no hands?

²³ Immediately, because Herod did not give glory to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

²² Are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

²² the LORD said to Moses: "Stretch out your hand toward the sky. Hail will fall on all the land of Egypt, on man and on beast and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt." ²³ When Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning struck the earth. The LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt. ²⁴ It hailed, and lightning flashed while it hailed. This was the worst storm in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation. ²⁵ And throughout all the land of Egypt the hail smote all that was in the field, both man and beast, and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

² Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, "Thus may the gods do to me, and may they add to it, surely at this time tomorrow I will make your life as the life of one of them!"

⁶ So at this time tomorrow, I will send my servants to you that they might search your house and the houses of your servants. All the desire of your eyes they will lay hands on and take it away.'"

¹ Elisha said, "Hear the word of the LORD: 'Thus says the LORD, "At this time tomorrow a seah of wheat bread flour will sell for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria.'"

¹⁸ It happened just as the man of God had spoken to the king: "At about this time tomorrow in Samaria's city gate a seah of finely ground flour will sell for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel."

¹⁵ so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm.

² LORD, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew your work in the midst of the years. In the midst of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.

¹³ Whoever despises instruction will pay for it, but he who respects a command will be rewarded.

¹⁶ How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding instead of silver!

³ A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.

²³ for the LORD will plead their cause, and strip the soul of those who plunder them.

⁵ And the men of Ninive believed God and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth from the greatest to the least. ⁶ The news reached the king of Nineveh and he arose from his throne, took off his royal robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

¹⁴ "When you see 'the abomination of desolation' standing where it ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. ¹⁵ a man on the roof of his house must not go down or go into the house to get anything out of it, ¹⁶ And let no one in the field return for his cloak.

⁷ By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in godly fear built an ark to save his family. By faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

²³ Then Pharaoh went into his house, and did not take even this to heart.

²⁰ As she was dying the women attending her said, Don't be afraid, for you have given birth to a son. But she didn't answer, neither did she pay any attention.

¹⁹ "Devote your mind and heart to seek the LORD your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the LORD God. That way you may bring the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD and the sacred articles belonging to God into the Temple that will be built for the name of the LORD."

¹⁷ What is man, that thou makest much of him? and that thou settest thy heart upon him?

¹⁴ If he set his heart on man, if he gather to himself his spirit and his breath;

³² Then I myself set my heart on what I was perceiving; I took admonition from what I saw:

⁴ And the man said to me, Son of man, look with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I shall show you. For in order to show you, you are brought here. Declare to the house of Israel all that you see.

¹² Then he said: "Do not fear Daniel! From the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come in response to your prayer.

¹⁹ the LORD then spoke to Moses: "Tell Aaron, Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt; its rivers, canals, ponds, and all its reservoirs. They will turn into blood. There will be blood everywhere in Egypt, even in the buckets of wood and stone pitchers."

⁵ the LORD said to Moses, Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt'.

²¹ Huge hailstones, about a hundred pounds each, fell from heaven upon men. And men cursed God for the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.

¹⁶ When morning came on the third day, there was thunder and lightning with a heavy cloud over the mountain and the very loud sound of a ram's horn. All the people in the camp trembled.

¹⁸ The people heard the thunder and the trumpet blast. They saw the lightning and the smoking mountain. They trembled with fear and stood at a distance.

¹¹ While they were fleeing in front of Israel and descending the slope of Beth-horon, the LORD rained down huge hailstones on them as far as Azekah, and they died. More died because of the hailstones than were killed by the Israelites in battle.

¹⁷ Isn't it wheat harvest today? I will call to the LORD to send thunder and rain, and you shall know and see that your wickedness is great which you have done in the eyes of the LORD, in asking for a king. ¹⁸ Samuel called upon the LORD that same day, and the LORD sent thunder and rain. So all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.

¹ "About this also my heart trembles, and it leaps from its place. ² Listen carefully to the thunder of His voice, and the rumbling that comes out from His mouth. ³ He releases his lightning throughout the sky, to the ends of the earth. ⁴ After it, his voice roars; it thunders with his majestic voice, and he does not restrain it when his voice is heard. ⁵ God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things, and we do not understand.

²² "Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail? ²³ "These I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle.

¹³ Then the Lord thundered from heaven, the Most High uttered his voice:

³ The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders. the LORD is over many waters.

¹⁸ The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightnings lit up the world, the earth trembled and shook.

⁴⁷ He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet. ⁴⁸ He gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire.

³² He turned their rain into hail, into flaming fire in their land. ³³ And he struck their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their territory.

⁸ lightning and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling his word;

³⁰ And the LORD shall make the majesty of His voice heard; and He shows His arm coming down with raging anger and flame of consuming fire, cloudburst and storm, and hailstones.

²² And I will execute judgment on him, with pestilence and blood and with tempests of rain and hailstones; and I will rain down fire and brimstone on him, and on all with him, even on the many nations with him.

⁷ The first sounded his trumpet and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up and a third of the trees were burned up and all green grass was burned up.

¹⁸ And there were flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and rolls of thunder, and a great earthquake, the likes of which had not occurred since men were upon the earth—so mighty was the great quake.

²³ When Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning struck the earth. The LORD rained hail on the land of Egypt.

⁶ Your houses will be filled along with the houses of all your officials and the houses of all the Egyptians something that neither your fathers nor your ancestors ever saw from the time they were on earth until now.'" Then Moses turned and left Pharaoh's presence.

²¹ For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.

⁴⁷ He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet.

²² "‘"At that same time I will cut off the land of Goshen where my people live. No swarms of flies shall be there. / Then you will know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth. ²³ I'll make a distinction between my people and your people, and this sign will occur tomorrow."'" ²⁴ the LORD did what he said. Dense swarms of flies came into Pharaoh's palace and into the houses of his officials. All over Egypt the flies ruined everything. ²⁵ Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Go, offer sacrifices to your God in the land." ²⁶ And Moses said, "To do so is not right, because we will sacrifice to the LORD our God a thing detestable to the Egyptians. Look, if we sacrifice before their eyes the thing detestable to the Egyptians, will they not stone us? ²⁷ We must go a three-day journey into the desert, and we'll offer sacrifices to the LORD our God just as he has told us." ²⁸ Then Pharaoh said, "I'll let you go so you can offer sacrifices to the LORD your God in the desert. But you must not go very far away. Pray for me." ²⁹ Moses answered: "As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the LORD. Tomorrow the swarms of flies will go away from you, your officials, and your people. But you must stop tricking us by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD." ³⁰ Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD. ³¹ the LORD did what Moses asked. The swarms of flies left Pharaoh, his officials, and his people. Not a single fly was left. ³² But this time also Pharaoh hardened his heart, and he did not let the people go.

⁴ The LORD will distinguish between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of the Egyptians, so that nothing that belongs to the Israelites will die."'"

⁷ But against all the Israelites, from a man to an animal, a dog will not even bark, so that you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.'

¹⁸ My people will live in a peaceful place, in safe homes and quiet places of rest. ¹⁹ though hail flattens the forest, and the city is leveled completely.

¹⁶ Pharaoh quickly called Moses and Aaron and said, "I've sinned against the LORD your God and against you.

³⁴ Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, "I have sinned because I did not know that you were standing to meet me in the road. Now, if it is displeasing to you, I will turn back."

²⁴ Then Saul told Samuel: "I have sinned by not following the LORD's command or your instructions. I was afraid of the people and listened to them.

³⁰ Then he said, I have sinned, yet please honour me now before the elders of my people and before Israel; come back with me so that I may worship the LORD your God.

²¹ Then Saul said, "I have sinned! Come back, David my son, for I will not harm you again, because my life was precious in your eyes this day. Look, I have acted like a fool and have made a terrible mistake."

⁶ Then the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, "The LORD is righteous."

¹⁶ the LORD is known [by] the judgment he hath executed: the wicked is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

⁴ The LORD is righteous he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.

¹⁷ The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and faithful in all his deeds.

¹⁸ The LORD is righteous, for I have rebelled against his commandment. Please listen all you people, and see my suffering. My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

¹⁴ So the LORD watched for the right time to bring the calamity upon us, because the LORD our God is righteous regarding everything he does, but we have not obeyed his voice.

⁴ "I have sinned," he said, "in betraying innocent blood!" "What is that to us?" they answered; "you must see to that."

⁵ But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

⁸ "The king sent for Moses and Aaron and told them: If you ask the LORD to take these frogs away from me and my people, I will let your people go and offer sacrifices to him."

²⁸ Then Pharaoh said, "I'll let you go so you can offer sacrifices to the LORD your God in the desert. But you must not go very far away. Pray for me."

¹⁷ "Please forgive my sin one more time. Pray to the LORD your God to take this deadly plague away from me."

¹ Then the LORD told Moses, "I'll bring one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt. After that he'll let you leave from here, and when he lets you go, he will certainly drive you out from here.

³ The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders. the LORD is over many waters. ⁴ The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.

²⁴ Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me, so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”

³³ Then Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to the LORD. The thunder and hail stopped, and the rain no longer poured out on the land.

⁵ ‘If you will obey me and are faithful to the terms of my covenant, then out of all the nations you will be my own special possession, for all the earth is mine.

¹⁴ Look! For to the LORD your God belong heaven and the highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it.

²² And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the assembly of Israel and spread forth his hands toward heaven.

⁵ At the time of the evening sacrifice, I arose from my discouragement. Still in my torn garment and robe, I fell to my knees with my hands outstretched to the LORD my God,

¹³ "Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him,

¹ A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it. ² for he founded it on the seas and established it on the rivers.

¹² If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

⁴ He holds in his hand the lowest parts of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him. ⁵ The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

⁶ The LORD does whatever pleases him in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all its deep regions.

⁶ I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah.

¹⁵ "When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you. Even though you offer many prayers, I will not listen because your hands are full of blood.

²⁶ for, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it."

²⁸ But if anyone says to you, "This has been offered in sacrifice," then do not eat it, both for the sake of the man who informed you and for conscience' sake

⁶ Through kindness and truth is iniquity atoned for; and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

¹⁰ Grace (favor) is shown to the wicked, but they do not learn righteousness. In a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the LORD.

¹⁷ O LORD, why do you make us wander from your ways, and harden our heart from your fear? Return for your servants' sake, the tribes of your inheritance.

²² So Naomi came back out of the country of Moab, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, with her; and they came to Beth-lehem in the first days of the grain-cutting.

²³ So she stayed close with the maidservants of Boaz to glean until the end of the barley harvest and wheat harvest. And she lived with her mother-in-law.

⁹ "I afflicted you with blight and fungus; and the locust swarm devoured the harvest of your gardens, your vineyards, your fig trees, and your olive trees, but you have not returned to me," declares the LORD.

¹⁷ Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and fruit is not on the vines; the work of the olive fails, and the fields make no food; the flock is cut off from the fold, and no herd is in the stalls,

²² Moses raised his hand toward the sky. Total darkness fell throughout Egypt for three days.

¹² Then Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh's presence, and Moses cried out to the LORD about the frogs which he had sent on Pharaoh.

²⁹ And Moses said to him, When I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD: the thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is the LORD`s.

¹⁸ Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD. ¹⁹ the LORD changed the wind to a very strong west wind. It picked up the locusts and blew them into the Red Sea. Not one locust was left anywhere in Egypt.

¹⁷ Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. ¹⁸ Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops.

¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.

²² In the midst of his troubles, King Ahaz became more and more unfaithful to the LORD.

²³ But he never humbled himself before the LORD as Manasseh, his father, humbled himself; to the contrary Amon multiplied the guilt.

¹³ And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him take oath by God; and he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from returning to the LORD the God of Israel.

¹¹ Whenever a sentence for a crime is not carried out swiftly, the human mind becomes determined to commit evil.

⁴ Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance? ⁵ But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.
