They will serve me as priests. ² "Make sacred clothes for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor. ³ "Tell all the skilled men whom I have given this ability to make Aaron's clothes. These clothes will set him apart as holy when he serves me as priest. ⁴ These are the garments that they shall make: a breast piece, an ephod, a robe, a checkered tunic, a turban, and a sash. They shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and for his sons to serve me as priests. ⁵ And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen. ⁶ and they will make the ephod of gold, blue and purple, and crimson yarns, and finely twisted linen, the work of a skilled craftsman. ⁷ "It should have two shoulder straps attached at the top corners so it can be fastened. ⁸ The skillfully woven band that is on it shall be made like it, of one piece with it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine woven linen. ⁹ And take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Yisra El: ¹⁰ "Engrave them in order of their birth. Place six names on each stone. ¹¹ "Engrave the names of the sons of Israel on the two stones the same way a jeweler engraves a signet ring. Mount them in gold settings. ¹² "Then fasten them on the shoulder straps of the ephod as reminders of who the Israelites are. In this way Aaron will carry their names on his shoulders as a reminder in the LORD's presence. ¹³ "Make gold settings. ¹⁴ And you shall make two chains of pure gold like braided cords, and fasten the braided chains to the settings. ¹⁵ "Prepare the breast piece for decision-making using a skilled craftsman. Make it like the ephod out of gold, violet, purple, and bright red yarn and out of fine linen yarn. ¹⁶ it is square, doubled, a span its length, and a span its breadth. ¹⁷ »Fasten four rows of precious stones on it. Put red quartz, topaz, and emerald in the first row. ¹⁸ and the second row a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald; ¹⁹ and the third row a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; ²⁰ and the fourth row a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They shall be enclosed in gold in their settings. ²¹ "The stones represent the twelve sons of Israel, by name, each stone engraved like a signet ring with the name of one of the twelve tribes. ²² And on the breastplate work twisted chains of wreathen work of pure gold: ²³ "Make two gold rings for the breastplate. Attach them to the two top corners of the breastplate. ²⁴ "Fasten the two gold ropes to the rings at the top corners of the breastplate. ²⁵ and give the two ends of the two wreaths in the two brocades; and give them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the face of the front: ²⁶ "Make two gold rings, and connect them to the other two corners of the breastplate on the inside edge next to the ephod. ²⁷ "Make two more gold rings, and fasten them to the bottom of the shoulder straps on the front of the ephod. This will be close to the seam just above the belt of the ephod. ²⁸ And they will tie the breast piece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord to be on the waistband of the ephod, and the breast piece will not come loose from the ephod. ²⁹ And Aaron shall receive the names of the sons of Israel upon the oracle of the judgment, upon the breast, entering into the holy place, as a memorial before God. ³⁰ You will put the Urim and the Thummim into the breastplate of judgment, and they will come to be on Aaron's heart when he enters before the LORD. Thus Aaron will bear the judgment of the sons of Israel on his heart before the LORD continually. ³¹ "You shall make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue. ³² "Provide an opening for the head in the center with a reinforced edge like a leather collar all around it to keep it from tearing. ³³ On its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, all around its hem; with bells of gold between and around them: ³⁴ a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, around the hem of the robe. ³⁵ And it will be upon Aaron to minister. And the sound of it will be heard when he goes in to the holy place before the LORD and when he comes out, that he does not die. ³⁶ And make a plate of pure gold, and engrave upon it the engravings of a seal, HOLINESS TO the LORD. ³⁷ "Fasten it on a blue cord and on the turban. It should be at the front of the turban. ³⁸ and worn on Aaron's forehead in order to take away any guilt contained in the holy things which the Israelites consecrate as holy gifts. It shall remain on his forehead continually, so they may be accepted in the LORD's presence. ³⁹ You shall weave the tunic with fine linen. You shall make a turban of fine linen. You shall make a sash, the work of the embroiderer. ⁴⁰ "Make linen robes, belts, and turbans for Aaron's sons. These clothes will give them dignity and honor. ⁴¹ »Dress your brother Aaron and his sons in these clothes and anoint them, ordain them, and set them apart to serve me as priests. ⁴² "Make linen undergarments to cover them down to their thighs. ⁴³ They shall be on Aaron and his sons when they enter the Tent of Meeting or when they approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place so they don't incur guilt and die. This shall be a perpetual ordinance for him and his descendants after him."

²³ Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

¹ The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to the LORD, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship at a distance.

⁹ Then went Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and the seventy elders of Israel up,

⁴¹ »Dress your brother Aaron and his sons in these clothes and anoint them, ordain them, and set them apart to serve me as priests.

¹ "This is what you shall do to them to consecrate them to serve me as priests: Take a young bull, two rams without blemish,

⁹ And you will gird Aaron and his sons with sashes and wrap headdresses on them. And priesthood will be theirs as a lasting rule, and you will ordain Aaron and his sons.

⁴⁴ I'll consecrate the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and I'll consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve as my priests.

³⁰ And anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to minister unto me.

¹⁰ also the colored garments and the holy garments for Aaron, the priest, and the garments of his sons to serve as priests;"

¹⁹ the woven garments to minister in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons, to minister as priests.

² “Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread;

¹ And the two sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, each took his censer and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he had not commanded them.

¹² Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, Take the grain offering that remains of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without yeast beside the altar; for it is most holy;

⁴ And those in his division are numbered at 74,600.

⁹ Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do the service of the LORD's tabernacle, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them; ¹⁰ "He brought you and all the other Levites near. But now you demand to be priests. ¹¹ "You and all your followers have joined forces against the LORD! Who is Aaron that you should complain about him?"

² "Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them. Get one from the leader of each of their tribes. Write each man's name on his staff. ³ "Write Aaron's name on the staff for Levi because there must be one staff for the head of each tribe. ⁴ You shall lay them up in the Tent of Meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you. ⁵ "The staff from the man I choose will begin to grow. In this way I will silence the frequent complaints the Israelites make against you and Aaron." ⁶ Thus Moses spoke to the Israelites. Their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one from the leader of each of their tribes. Aaron's staff was among them. ⁷ And Moses laid the staves before the LORD in the tent of the testimony. ⁸ On the next day, Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony; and behold, Aaron’s rod for the house of Levi had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds. ⁹ Moses brought out the staffs from the LORD's presence and showed them to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each man took his staff.

⁷ You and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood for everything of the altar, and for that within the veil; and you shall serve. I give you the priesthood as a gift, and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

⁶¹ Yet Nadab and Abihu died when they offered alien fire before the LORD.

⁶ "The Israelites traveled from the wells of the Jaakanites to Moserah. Aaron died, and he was buried there. His son Eleazar succeeded him as priest.

¹⁰ Johanan was the father of Azariah. It was he who served as priest in the temple Solomon built in Jerusalem),

¹ These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. ² And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no sons, so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests. ³ And David, with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their appointments for their service. ⁴ More leaders were located among Eleazar's descendants than among those of Ithamar, so sixteen leaders were appointed from the leaders of the ancestral households of Eleazar's descendants and eight from those of Ithamar.

¹⁴ The priests abandoned their land and property and went to Judah and Jerusalem because Jeroboam and his descendants rejected them as the LORD's priests.

¹⁸ And they stood against King Uzziah and said to him, "It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the LORD, but it is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary, for you have acted unfaithfully. There will be no honor for you from the LORD God." ¹⁹ Then Uzziah was angry. He had a censer in his hand to burn incense, and while he was angry with the priests, the leprosy broke out on his forehead before the priests in the LORD's house, beside the altar of incense. ²⁰ And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him. ²¹ So King Uzziah was leprous until the day of his death, and he lived in a separate house as a leper, for he was cut off from the house of the LORD. And Jotham his son was over the house of the king, judging the people of the land.

⁸ One day while Zechariah’s division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God,

¹ Every high priest is appointed from among men to represent them in matters relating to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. ² He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and misguided, since he himself is beset by weakness. ³ Because of this he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. ⁴ No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was. ⁵ So too Christ did not take for himself the glory of becoming a high priest, but he who said to him, "Thou art my Son, to-day I have become thy Father,"

⁵ ‘If you will obey me and are faithful to the terms of my covenant, then out of all the nations you will be my own special possession, for all the earth is mine. ⁶ but you, you will belong to me as a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you will speak to the Israelites."

⁴⁰ "Make linen robes, belts, and turbans for Aaron's sons. These clothes will give them dignity and honor.

⁵ Take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breast piece, and then gird him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod. ⁶ And put the turban upon his head, and give the holy diadem upon the turban. ⁷ Then take the oil and put it on his head. ⁸ And bring his sons and put albes upon them, ⁹ And you will gird Aaron and his sons with sashes and wrap headdresses on them. And priesthood will be theirs as a lasting rule, and you will ordain Aaron and his sons.

²⁹ "The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him so that they may be anointed in them and ordained in them. ³⁰ The priest his successor from among his sons who shall go into the tabernacle of witness to minister in the holies, shall put them on seven days.

¹ And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary. And they made the holy garments for Aaron, even as the LORD commanded Moses. ² And he made the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen;

¹³ »Dress Aaron in the priestly garments and anoint him. Consecrate him so that he can serve me as priest.

⁷ He put the tunic on him, tied the sash on him, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, and he tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod on him and fastened it to him with it. ⁸ He placed the breastplate on him. He put the Urim and Thummim in the breastplate. ⁹ He set the turban on his head. He set the golden plate, the holy crown, on the front of the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses.

³⁰ Then Moses took some of the anointing oil, and some of the blood which was by the altar, and sprinkled them on Aaron and his robes, and on his sons and their robes with him. And when he had hallowed Aaron and his robes, and his sons and their robes with him,

²⁶ Strip off Aaron's garments, and put them on Eleazar his son; Aaron will be gathered to his people, and he will die there." ²⁷ Moses did what the LORD commanded. They went up Mount Hor in the sight of the entire congregation. ²⁸ Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son. Aaron died there on the top of the mountain, and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

²⁰ "Give him some of your authority, so that the whole congregation of Israel will obey him. ²¹ And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before LORD. At his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the sons of Israel with him, even

¹⁰ "Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor. Clothe yourself in honor and majesty.

¹⁶ Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children. ¹⁷ Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.

⁶ Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

⁹ Let your priests be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

¹⁶ And I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

⁴ For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.

² On that day the branch of the LORD shall become beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall become the pride and glory of the survivors of Israel.

³ to give for those in mourning in Zion, to give them a head wrap instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of a faint spirit. And they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, to show his glory.

¹⁰ I will rejoice greatly in the LORD. I will exult in my God for he has clothed me with garments of salvation. He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

⁶ For we have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

²³ [J] Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom: nor the mighty man boast of his strength; neither let the rich man boast of his riches: ²⁴ but let him who boasts boast in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight," says the LORD.

³ Now Joshua was clothed with filthy clothes, and stood before the Angel. ⁴ So the angel continued to tell those who were standing in his presence, "Remove his filthy clothes." And he said to Joshua, "Look how I've removed your iniquity. Now I'm clothing you with fine garments."

¹⁴ The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

²² And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction,

¹⁴ But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about gratifying your physical cravings.

³⁰ It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. ³¹ therefore, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord."

²⁷ For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

²⁶ We need such a high priest {— } one who is holy, innocent, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

¹⁷ For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him by the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

² Beloved, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.

¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth."

⁸ She was given clothing of fine linen, linen bright and pure.” For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints.

³ and I've filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of craftsmanship ⁴ to create plans for work in gold, silver, and bronze, ⁵ and for cutting stones to set them, for carving wood, and for doing all kinds of craftsmanship. ⁶ »I also appointed Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan, to help him. I have given every craftsman the skill necessary to make what I have commanded you:

²⁵ Every skilled woman spun with her hands, and brought what she spun: blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine linen.

³⁰ And Moses said to the Israelites, "See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri the son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah.

³⁵ He hath filled them with wisdom of heart to do every work, of engraver, and designer, and embroiderer (in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in linen), and weaver, who do any work, and of designers of designs.

⁹ Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom because Moses had placed his hands on him, and the Israelites listened to him, and they did as the LORD had commanded Moses.

⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

² The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

²⁴ Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he keep turning the soil and breaking the clods? ²⁵ When he has leveled its surface, does he not strew black cummin, and scatter cummin, and place wheat in rows, and barley in its place, and spelt in its border? ²⁶ For his God instructs him aright, [and] teaches him.

⁷ Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. ⁸ To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit, ⁹ to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, ¹⁰ to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who apportions them to each one as He determines.

¹⁷ and asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him.

¹⁷ Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.

In the first row was a sardius, a topaz, an emerald. ¹¹ and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald; ¹² and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; ¹³ and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold settings. ¹⁴ And the twelve stones were graven as signets with the names of the children of Israel: every stone with his name, according to the twelve tribes. ¹⁵ And on the bag they put gold chains, twisted like cords. ¹⁶ And they made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and they put the two rings on the two edges of the breast piece. ¹⁷ They fastened the two gold ropes to the rings at the top corners of the breastplate. ¹⁸ And the two ends of the two braided chains they fastened to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in the front. ¹⁹ They made two gold rings and fastened them to the other two corners of the breast piece on the inside edge next to the ephod. ²⁰ They made two more gold rings and fastened them to the bottom of the shoulder straps on the front of the ephod. This was close to the seam just above the belt of the ephod. ²¹ And they fastened the breast pocket from its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue ribbon, to be on the ephod band, that the breast pocket not move itself from the ephod, as the LORD commanded Moses. ²² He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.

²⁵ They made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates around the skirts of the robe, between the pomegranates; ²⁶ a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate on the hem of the robe all around for ministering, as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹⁸ Now Samuel was ministering before the LORD, as a boy wearing a linen ephod.

¹⁸ Then the king said to Doeg, "You turn and attack the priests." Doeg the Edomite turned and attacked the priests. That day he killed eighty-five men who carry the linen ephod.

⁶ Now as Abiathar, son of Abimelech, had fled to David, he went down with him to Keila, having the ephod in his hand.

⁷ And David said to Abiathar the priest the son of Ahimelech, Bring the ephod here to me.

¹⁴ And David, clothed in a linen ephod, was dancing before the Lord with all his strength.

⁵ Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his waist.

¹⁷ He put on justice as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head: he put on the garments of vengeance, and was clad with zeal as with a cloak.

¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed,

⁸ But let us, who belong to the Day, control ourselves, and put on faith and love as a breast plate, and the hope of Salvation as a helmet.

¹⁷ I saw the horses and riders in the vision. Their breastplates were bright red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses were like the heads of lions. Their mouths issued fire, smoke, and brimstone.

³ This is the offering that you shall accept from them: gold, silver, and bronze; ⁴ blue, purple, and scarlet material; fine linen and goat hair;

² And he made the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen; ³ They hammered out gold sheets and cut off threads to work into the blue, purple, and scarlet material and into the fine linen, a work of skillful design.

¹ "Construct the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet material. Make them with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman.

² And he made the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and twisted linen; ³ They hammered out gold sheets and cut off threads to work into the blue, purple, and scarlet material and into the fine linen, a work of skillful design. ⁴ From this they made two shoulder straps for the ephod and attached them to its sides, so that it could be fastened. ⁵ The skillfully woven band that was on it was made like it, of one piece with it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine woven linen, just as the LORD commanded Moses. ⁶ And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in settings of gold, graven, as seals are graven, with the names of the sons of Israel. ⁷ And he put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁴ From this they made two shoulder straps for the ephod and attached them to its sides, so that it could be fastened.

²⁷ "Make two more gold rings, and fasten them to the bottom of the shoulder straps on the front of the ephod. This will be close to the seam just above the belt of the ephod. ²⁸ And they will tie the breast piece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord to be on the waistband of the ephod, and the breast piece will not come loose from the ephod.

⁵ Take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breast piece, and then gird him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod.

²⁰ They made two more gold rings and fastened them to the bottom of the shoulder straps on the front of the ephod. This was close to the seam just above the belt of the ephod. ²¹ And they fastened the breast pocket from its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue ribbon, to be on the ephod band, that the breast pocket not move itself from the ephod, as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁷ He put the tunic on him, tied the sash on him, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, and he tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod on him and fastened it to him with it.

¹³ Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep a clear head, and set your hope completely on the grace to be given you when Jesus, the Messiah, is revealed.

¹³ And among the lampstands was one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.

¹² The gold of that land is good. Bdellium and onyx stone are also there.

²⁰ and the fourth row a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They shall be enclosed in gold in their settings.

³⁶ And make a plate of pure gold, and engrave upon it the engravings of a seal, HOLINESS TO the LORD.

¹³ and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold settings.

⁷ Send me now therefore a man skillful to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that has skill to engrave with the skillful men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.

¹⁶ "It cannot be bought with the gold from Ophir or with precious onyx or sapphire.

⁶ Place me like a seal upon your heart, Like a seal upon your arm, For love is strong as death, Its jealousy hard as the unseen, Its burning coals as burning coals of fire, The blaze of Yah."

¹⁶ Behold, I have carved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are forever before Me.

¹³ You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz, emerald, chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and beryl. Gold work of tambourines and of pipes was in you. In the day that you were created they were prepared.

³³ And they were all given their seats before him in order of birth, from the oldest to the youngest: so that they were looking at one another in wonder.

¹ And these are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt; with Jacob, they each came with his family: ² Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, ³ Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, ⁴ Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

¹³ "Make gold settings. ¹⁴ And you shall make two chains of pure gold like braided cords, and fasten the braided chains to the settings.

²¹ "The stones represent the twelve sons of Israel, by name, each stone engraved like a signet ring with the name of one of the twelve tribes.

²⁵ and give the two ends of the two wreaths in the two brocades; and give them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the face of the front:

¹⁸ And the two ends of the two braided chains they fastened to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in the front.

²⁴ "As surely as I live," declares the LORD, "even if Jehoiakim's son King Jehoiachin of Judah were a signet ring on my right hand, I would pull you off

⁹ "Look at the stone I set before you Joshua. There are seven eyes on one stone. I will engrave the inscription on it," said the LORD Almighty, "and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day."

¹³ In him, you also have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having also believed, you were sealed in him with the promised Holy Spirit,

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

¹⁹ Nevertheless, God's firm foundation stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

² And I saw another angel ascending from the east, with the seal of the living God. And he called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:

¹² God said: "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: ¹³ I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth. ¹⁴ "Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, ¹⁵ "I will remember my covenant with you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters flood to destroy all life. ¹⁶ "Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the long lasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." ¹⁷ And God said unto Noah, This is the sign of the covenant which have established, between me and all flesh that is on the earth.

¹⁴ And this day shall be for a memorial to you; and you shall keep it a feast to the Lord in your generations, with an everlasting observance.

⁹ And it will be for a sign to you upon your hand and for a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth, because the LORD has brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand.

⁷ "It should have two shoulder straps attached at the top corners so it can be fastened.

²⁹ And Aaron shall receive the names of the sons of Israel upon the oracle of the judgment, upon the breast, entering into the holy place, as a memorial before God.

⁷ And you shall put pure frankincense on each row, so that it may be on the bread for a memorial, a fire offering to the LORD.

⁴⁰ He followed the LORD's command given through Moses. The copper-covered altar will remind Israel that no one but a descendant of Aaron may come near to burn incense to the LORD. Everyone else will die like Korah and his followers.

⁵⁴ So Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold from the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it to the tent of meeting as a memorial for the Israelites before the LORD.

⁷ then you shall tell them, 'Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.'"

¹⁹ Then you spoke in a vision to your faithful ones, and said, "I have bestowed strength on the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.

⁶ For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

² "Truly God is my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid. the LORD… the LORD is my strength and my song! He has become my salvation."

⁶ I have set watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem. They will never be silent day nor night. You who call on the LORD, take no rest,

¹³ And he will build the temple of the LORD, and he will bear majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two of them." ' ¹⁴ And the crown will be for Helem, for Tobijah, for Jedaiah, and for Hen son of Zephaniah, as a memorial in the temple of the LORD.

⁵⁴ He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful,

⁷² to show mercy to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

⁴ Cornelius stared at him in fear and asked, “What is it, Lord?” The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have ascended as a memorial offering before God.

²⁵ Therefore He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them. ²⁶ We need such a high priest {— } one who is holy, innocent, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. ²⁷ Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people; He sacrificed for sin once for all when He offered up Himself. ²⁸ For the Law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the Law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

²² And on the breastplate work twisted chains of wreathen work of pure gold: ²³ "Make two gold rings for the breastplate. Attach them to the two top corners of the breastplate. ²⁴ "Fasten the two gold ropes to the rings at the top corners of the breastplate. ²⁵ and give the two ends of the two wreaths in the two brocades; and give them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the face of the front:

¹⁵ And on the bag they put gold chains, twisted like cords.

¹⁷ They fastened the two gold ropes to the rings at the top corners of the breastplate. ¹⁸ And the two ends of the two braided chains they fastened to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in the front.

¹⁷ He made also two pieces of net work to cover the chapiters of the pillars; one piece of net work for each chapiter.

¹⁷ One pillar was twenty-seven feet high and had a copper crown on it that was four and one half feet high. The filigree and the pomegranates around the crown were all made of copper. The second pillar and its filigree were the same.

¹² Two pillars, bowl-shaped crowns on top of the two pillars, and two sets of filigree to cover the two bowl-shaped crowns on top of the pillars, ¹³ and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars.

⁴ These are the garments that they shall make: a breast piece, an ephod, a robe, a checkered tunic, a turban, and a sash. They shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and for his sons to serve me as priests.

⁶ and they will make the ephod of gold, blue and purple, and crimson yarns, and finely twisted linen, the work of a skilled craftsman.

³⁰ You will put the Urim and the Thummim into the breastplate of judgment, and they will come to be on Aaron's heart when he enters before the LORD. Thus Aaron will bear the judgment of the sons of Israel on his heart before the LORD continually.

⁸ And he made the breast piece, the work of a skilled craftsman, like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple and crimson yarns, and finely twisted linen. ⁹ It was square and folded double, nine inches long and nine inches wide. ¹⁰ And he set four rows of precious stones in it. In the first row was a sardius, a topaz, an emerald. ¹¹ and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald; ¹² and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; ¹³ and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold settings. ¹⁴ And the twelve stones were graven as signets with the names of the children of Israel: every stone with his name, according to the twelve tribes. ¹⁵ And on the bag they put gold chains, twisted like cords. ¹⁶ And they made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and they put the two rings on the two edges of the breast piece. ¹⁷ They fastened the two gold ropes to the rings at the top corners of the breastplate. ¹⁸ And the two ends of the two braided chains they fastened to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in the front. ¹⁹ They made two gold rings and fastened them to the other two corners of the breast piece on the inside edge next to the ephod.

⁸ He placed the breastplate on him. He put the Urim and Thummim in the breastplate.

⁹ And take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Yisra El:

¹¹ "Engrave the names of the sons of Israel on the two stones the same way a jeweler engraves a signet ring. Mount them in gold settings.

¹⁸ Corals and pearl are not remembered, The acquisition of wisdom is above rubies. ¹⁹ The topaz of Cush cannot be compared with it; it cannot be bought for pure gold.

¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire compares with her.

¹¹ because wisdom is better than precious gems and nothing you desire can compare to it."

¹⁵ There is gold and abundance of rubies, but the lips of knowledge are a rare jewel.

¹⁰ A woman of valour who can find? for her price is far above rubies.

¹¹ "O afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires. ¹² "I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.

⁷ Her consecrated ones were purer than snow, whiter than milk; their bodies more ruddy than rubies, their appearance was like lapis lazuli.

¹⁷ "They'll be mine," says the LORD of the Heavenly Armies, "in the day when I prepare my treasured possession. I'll spare them, just as a man spares his own son who serves him.

¹⁹ The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of precious stone: The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, ²⁰ the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each gate made of a single pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

¹⁰ and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, and as clear as the sky.

¹¹ and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald;

⁶ Sapphires come from its rocks. It has dust of gold.

¹⁴ His hands are as rods of gold set with beryl; his body is as polished ivory overlaid with sapphires.

¹ The sin of Judah is engraved with an iron stylus. It is inscribed with a diamond point on the tablet of their heart and on the horns of their altars.

²⁶ Above the dome over their heads was something that looked like a throne made of sapphire. On the throne was a figure that looked like a human.

¹ I looked at the dome over the heads of the angels. And I saw something that looked like a throne made of sapphire.

¹⁶ Edom did business with you because of the great number of things which you made; they gave emeralds, purple, and needlework, and the best linen and coral and rubies for your goods.

³ He who sat there had the appearance of jasper and sardius stones. A rainbow that looked like an emerald surrounded the throne.

¹² and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;

¹² "I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.

¹⁶ And the appearance of the wheels was as the appearance of beryl: and the four had one likeness: and their work was as it were a wheel in a wheel.

⁹ And when I looked, behold, four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel by each cherubim; and the colour of the wheels was as a stone of Tarsis or beryl.

⁶ His body was like beryl, his face flashed like lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and legs were like polished bronze, and his speech roared like that of a crowd.

¹¹ having the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

¹⁸ The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as clear as glass. ¹⁹ The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of precious stone: The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, ²⁰ the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

³¹ Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes of Jacob's descendants, to whom the message from the LORD had come that "Israel shall be your name."

³⁰ so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹ James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are in the Diaspora: Greetings.

⁴ And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand from all the tribes of Israel: ⁵ Of the tribe of Judah, 12,000 were sealed; Of the tribe of Reuben, 12,000; Of the tribe of Gad, 12,000; ⁶ Of the tribe of Asher, 12,000; Of the tribe of Naphtali, 12,000; Of the tribe of Manasseh, 12,000; ⁷ 12,000 from the tribe of Simeon, 12,000 from the tribe of Levi, 12,000 from the tribe of Issachar, ⁸ Of the tribe of Zebulun, 12,000; Of the tribe of Joseph, 12,000; Of the tribe of Benjamin, 12,000.

¹² It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.

¹¹ "Cover it with pure gold inside and out and put a gold border all around it. ¹² You shall cast four rings for it and put them on its four feet, two rings on one side of it and two rings on its other side. ¹³ You shall make poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. ¹⁴ You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark. ¹⁵ The poles are to remain in the rings of the ark and are not to be removed from it.

¹⁴ And you shall make two chains of pure gold like braided cords, and fasten the braided chains to the settings.

³¹ "You shall make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue.

³⁷ "Fasten it on a blue cord and on the turban. It should be at the front of the turban.

³⁰ They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it a writing, like the engravings of a signet: "HOLY TO THE LORD." ³¹ And they put a blue cord on it to put it above on the turban, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

³⁸ Speak to the Israelites and tell them: »For generations to come they must wear tassels on the corners of their clothes. Each tassel should have violet threads.

¹² "Then fasten them on the shoulder straps of the ephod as reminders of who the Israelites are. In this way Aaron will carry their names on his shoulders as a reminder in the LORD's presence.

¹⁵ "Prepare the breast piece for decision-making using a skilled craftsman. Make it like the ephod out of gold, violet, purple, and bright red yarn and out of fine linen yarn.

¹⁵ Can a woman forget her nursing child? Will she have no compassion on the child from her womb? Although mothers forget, I will not forget you. ¹⁶ Behold, I have carved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are forever before Me.

²¹ Their leader will be one of their own, and their ruler will come from among them. I'll bring him near, and he will approach me, for who would otherwise dare to approach me?' declares the LORD.

¹ Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.

²¹ And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before LORD. At his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the sons of Israel with him, even

⁸ About Levi he said:May your Thummim and your Urim be for your benign man whom you probed at Massah; you contended with him at the waters of Meribah,

¹ After the death of Joshua, the children of Israel asked the LORD (YHWH), saying: "Who will go first to fight against the Canaanites for us?"

¹⁸ The Israelites went up to Bethel and asked counsel of God. They said, Who shall go up for us first to battle against the children of Benjamin? the LORD said, Judah first.

²³ They went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and they asked the LORD, Shall we go up to fight again against the Benjamites, our brothers? the LORD said, Go up against them.

²⁷ And the Israelites inquired of the LORD (In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there, ²⁸ and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron ministered before it), Shall we yet again go out to fight against Benjamin our brother, or not? the LORD said, Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver him into your hand.

⁹ When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring the ephod here." ¹⁰ David said, "LORD God of Israel. Your servant has definitely heard that Saul intends to come to Keilah to destroy the town because of me. ¹¹ Will the rulers of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down as your servant has heard? O LORD, God of Israel, please tell your servant!" And the LORD said, "He will come down." ¹² Then David said, Will the men of Keilah give me and my men up to Saul? and the Lord said, They will give you up.

⁶ And Saul enquired of the LORD, but the LORD did not answer him by dreams nor by Urim nor by prophets.

⁷ And David said to Abiathar the priest the son of Ahimelech, Bring the ephod here to me. ⁸ and David inquired of the LORD saying, Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them? He answered, Pursue, for you will certainly overtake them and recover all.

⁶³ The governor told them that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.

⁶⁵ The governor ordered them not to eat anything holy until a priest would be installed with Urim and Thummim.

¹³ And he will build the temple of the LORD, and he will bear majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two of them." '

¹¹ We have spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, and our hearts have been wide open to you. ¹² We are not holding back [our affections] from you, but you are holding back your affections [from us].

³ I am not saying this to condemn you, for [as] I said before, you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you.

¹⁵ And for the sake of your souls, I will most gladly spend my money and myself. If I love you more, will you love me less?

⁷ It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart. For in my chains and in my defense and confirmation of the gospel, you are all partners in grace with me. ⁸ God is my witness how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ So He had to be made like His brothers in every way, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.

¹² He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves, but he entered the holy place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

²⁴ For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

²⁸ And they will tie the breast piece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord to be on the waistband of the ephod, and the breast piece will not come loose from the ephod.

²² He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue. ²³ And the opening in the middle of the robe was like the opening of a corselet, with a band around the opening, so that it might not tear. ²⁴ And they made on the hem of the robe pomegranates of finely twisted blue and purple and crimson.

¹⁴ Uzziah prepared shields, spears, helmets, armor, bows, and stones for slings for the entire army.

¹⁶ From that day on, half of my helpers engaged in the work while the other half kept spears, shields, bows, and armor ready. The senior officials backed all of the Judeans

²⁶ The sword of him that reaches him cannot avail: neither the spear, the dart, nor the javelin.

²³ When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided His garments into four parts, one for each soldier, with the tunic remaining. It was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. ²⁴ So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be." This happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: "They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots." This is what the soldiers did.

³ Make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit through the tie of peace. ⁴ There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; ⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism, ⁶ one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. ⁷ But each one of us has been given mercy in Christ's generous measure. ⁸ This is why it says: “When He ascended on high, He led captives away, and gave gifts to men.” ⁹ What does “He ascended” mean, except that He also descended to the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He who descended is the very one who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things. ¹¹ And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, ¹² in order to fit his people for the work of service, for building the body of Christ, ¹³ until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ. ¹⁴ Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming. ¹⁵ rather, speaking the truth in love, let us in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, Christ; ¹⁶ From Him the whole body is fitted and held together by every supporting ligament. And as each individual part does its work, the body grows and builds itself up in love.

¹⁸ And he made pomegranates, namely two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars; and so he did for the other capital.

²⁰ In that day there will be on the bells of the horses, HOLY TO the LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house will be like the bowls before the altar.

¹⁵ Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, the LORD.

³ ¶ As the apple tree among the trees of the wild, so is my beloved among the sons. I desired to sit under his shadow, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

³ Your lips are like a scarlet thread and your mouth is lovely. Your temple behind your veil is like a slice of pomegranate.

¹³ Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with excellent fruits, with henna and spikenard;

⁷ Your temples behind your veil are like a piece of pomegranate.

¹¹ I went down into the garden of nuts, to look at the green plants of the valley, to see whether the vine budded, and the pomegranates were in flower.

² I would lead you and bring you to my mother's house, Who has taught me; I would give you to drink of wine that is compounded, Of my pomegranate juice."

⁴ Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. ⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abides in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned. ⁷ If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. ⁸ This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.

¹⁶ It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you, and I appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that should remain, so that the Father might grant you whatever you ask in my Name.

⁵ springing from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel ⁶ that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood the grace of God.

¹⁰ so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,

² And the LORD said to Moses, "Tell your brother Aaron that he should not enter at any time into the sanctuary behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover that is on the ark, so that he might not die, because I appear in the cloud over the atonement cover.

³⁰ They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it a writing, like the engravings of a signet: "HOLY TO THE LORD."

⁹ He set the turban on his head. He set the golden plate, the holy crown, on the front of the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses.

³ Therefore Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the LORD spoke, saying, 'Among those who are close to me I will show myself holy, and in the presence of all the people I will display my glory.'" So Aaron was silent.

² Speak to the assembly of the sons of Israel, and say to them, Ye shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

⁵ Your statutes stand firm. Holiness adorns your house, Yahweh, forever more.

¹² This is the law of the temple: On the top of the mountain, all of its territory, all the way around it, will be most holy. Look, this is the law of the temple.

¹⁴ Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

¹⁵ But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, ¹⁶ for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

²⁷ But nothing impure shall enter into it, nor shall any man who commits shameful acts, or who lies: but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

⁶ And put the turban upon his head, and give the holy diadem upon the turban.

⁵ I said, "Let them set a clean turban on his head." So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and the angel of the LORD was standing by.

⁴³ They shall be on Aaron and his sons when they enter the Tent of Meeting or when they approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place so they don't incur guilt and die. This shall be a perpetual ordinance for him and his descendants after him."

⁴ " 'He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering and it will be accepted for him in order to make atonement for him.

¹⁷ Why have you not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, for it is most holy, and He has given it to you to take away the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

⁹ They shall therefore follow My requirements, lest they bear sin for it, and die therein, if they profane it. I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

¹⁶ So causing sin to come on them when they take their holy things for food: I am the Lord who make them holy.

²⁷ "When an ox or a sheep or a goat is born, then it shall be under its mother for seven days, and from the eighth day and beyond it is acceptable as an offering made by fire for Yahweh.

¹¹ And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD for your acceptance; the priest shall wave it on the day after the Sabbath.

¹ The LORD said to Aaron, "You and your sons and your fathers' house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

¹¹ After his suffering he will see the light and be satisfied. By his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many. He will bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great and he will divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors. Yet he bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

⁷ "I will bring them to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar. My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."

⁷ All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.

⁴ "Then lie on your left side and put the sin of the house of Israel upon yourself. You are to bear their sin for the number of days you lie on your side. ⁵ "I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for three hundred and ninety days you will bear the sin of the house of Israel. ⁶ "After you have finished this lie down again. This time lie on your right side, and bear the sin of the house of Judah. I have assigned you forty days, a day for each year.

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

²¹ God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

⁶ to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.

²⁸ so the Messiah was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people. And he will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly wait for him.

⁵ you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

²⁴ He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body, but made alive in the spirit,

¹⁴ In embroidered garments she is presented to the king. Her virgin companions who follow her train will be presented to you.

² "Make sacred clothes for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor.

²⁷ For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics, woven of fine linen, ²⁸ the turban of fine linen, the linen headbands of fine linen, the linen trousers of fine twined linen, ²⁹ the sash of fine twined linen, blue, purple, and scarlet, the work of the embroiderer, as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁴¹ the woven garments for serving in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for serving as priests.

¹³ Moses brought Aaron's sons, and clothed them with tunics, and tied sashes on them, and put headbands on them, as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹⁷ And then when they come to the gates of the inner courtyards, they shall put on their inner linen garments and not wear wool garments when they serve in the gates of the inner courtyard and inside the temple. ¹⁸ "'They must wear linen turbans on their heads and linen undergarments. They must not wear anything that makes them sweat.

⁹ and I would have the women dress becomingly, with modesty and self-control, not with plaited hair or gold or pearls or costly clothes, ¹⁰ but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess to worship God.

⁹ But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. ¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. ¹¹ But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

⁷ In everything, show yourself to be an example by doing good works. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,

¹⁰ and not to steal, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in everything they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

³ Your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, ⁴ but from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.

⁵ Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

¹ the LORD continued: "Bring your brother Aaron and his sons Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar to you from all the Israelites. They will serve me as priests.

⁷ Then take the oil and put it on his head.

²⁴ "Put all this food in the hands of Aaron and his sons and have them dedicate it to me as a special gift.

³⁵ "Do to Aaron and to his sons all that I have commanded you. Ordain them for seven days.

²³ "You shall take for yourself the finest spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much fragrant cinnamon (250 shekels), 250 shekels of fragrant reeds, ²⁴ and five hundred shekels of cassia, according to the sanctuary shekel, and a hin of olive oil. ²⁵ You shall make them into a holy anointing oil, a perfume mixture made by a perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil. ²⁶ You shall use it to anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the testimony, ²⁷ the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense, ²⁸ the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its base. ²⁹ You shall consecrate them and they shall be most holy. Whatever touches them shall be holy. ³⁰ And anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to minister unto me.

¹⁵ "Anoint them just as you anointed their father that they can serve me as priests. This anointing will make them priests for generations to come."

¹ And the Lord said to Moses, ² “Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread; ³ "Gather the entire congregation at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting." ⁴ Moses did as the LORD commanded him. All the people gathered (assembled) at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. ⁵ And Moses said unto the congregation, This is what the LORD has commanded to be done. ⁶ Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water. ⁷ He put the tunic on him, tied the sash on him, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, and he tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod on him and fastened it to him with it. ⁸ He placed the breastplate on him. He put the Urim and Thummim in the breastplate. ⁹ He set the turban on his head. He set the golden plate, the holy crown, on the front of the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses. ¹⁰ Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and he consecrated them. ¹¹ And he spattered part of it on the altar seven times—thus he anointed the altar and all of its utensils, and the basin and its stand, to consecrate them. ¹² He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him. ¹³ Moses brought Aaron's sons, and clothed them with tunics, and tied sashes on them, and put headbands on them, as the LORD commanded Moses. ¹⁴ Moses brought the young bull for the sin offering. Aaron and his sons put their hands on its head. ¹⁵ He killed it; and Moses took the blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar, and sanctified it, to make atonement for it. ¹⁶ He took all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat; and Moses burned it on the altar. ¹⁷ But the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses. ¹⁸ He presented the ram of the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. ¹⁹ and Moses slew the ram, and poured the blood against the altar round about. ²⁰ and cut the ram in pieces and burnt the head, the pieces and the fat, ²¹ He washed the inward parts and the legs with water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses. ²² He presented the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. ²³ One slew it, and Moses took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, ²⁴ Then Moses brought forward the sons of Aaron, and put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the great toes of their right feet. He then poured the blood against the altar round about. ²⁵ He took the fat, the fat tail, all the fat that was on the innards, the cover of the liver, the two kidneys and their fat, and the right thigh; ²⁶ And out of the basket of unleavened bread which was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and on the right leg; ²⁷ He placed all these things in the hands of Aaron and his sons. Moses presented all these things to the LORD as an offering. ²⁸ Moses took them from their hands, and burned them on the altar on the burnt offering. They were a consecration offering for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to Yahweh. ²⁹ Moses also took the breast from the ram of the ordination offering and presented it to the LORD. It was Moses' share, as the LORD commanded. ³⁰ Then Moses took some of the anointing oil, and some of the blood which was by the altar, and sprinkled them on Aaron and his robes, and on his sons and their robes with him. And when he had hallowed Aaron and his robes, and his sons and their robes with him, ³¹ Moses told Aaron and his sons: "Cook the meat at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Take the meat and the bread in the basket of the ordination offering. Eat them there as I commanded when I said: 'Aaron and his sons will eat it.' ³² »You must burn all meat or bread that is left over. ³³ You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you seven days. ³⁴ What has been done today, so Yahweh has commanded to do, to make atonement for you. ³⁵ "You will stay at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting day and night for seven days and keep the watch as the LORD directs you. Then you will not die. This is what I was commanded." ³⁶ So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD commanded through Moses.

⁷ but you must not go out from the entrance to the tent of assembly lest you die, because the LORD's anointing oil is on you." So they did according to Moses' word.

³ These are the names of Aaron's sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.

²⁷ "In that day your burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat."

¹ The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound;

²⁶ Seven days they will make atonement for the altar and purify it. So they will consecrate it.

³⁴ For the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

²¹ Now it is God who establishes both us and you in Christ. He anointed us, ²² placed His seal on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a pledge of what is to come.

⁴ No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was.

²⁸ For the Law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the Law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

²⁰ But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know the truth.

²⁷ And as for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you do not have need that anyone teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you reside in him.

²⁶ You shall not ascend to my altar on steps, so that your nakedness may not be exposed on it.'

¹⁰ And the priest shall put on his linen robe, and he must put his linen undergarments on his body, and he shall take away the fatty ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar, and he shall place them beside the altar.

⁴ He shall put on the holy linen tunic. He shall have the linen trousers on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.

¹⁸ "'They must wear linen turbans on their heads and linen undergarments. They must not wear anything that makes them sweat.

¹⁸ I advise you to buy of me gold that has been refined in the fire, so that you may become rich, and white clothes to put on, to hide your shameful nakedness, and salve to put on your eyes, to make you see.

²¹ "Keep the lamps lit in the tent of meeting outside the canopy where the words of my covenant are. Aaron and his descendants must keep the lamps lit in the LORD's presence from evening until morning. This is a long lasting law among the Israelites for generations to come.

¹ And if anyone does wrong by saying nothing when he is put under oath as a witness of something he has seen or had knowledge of, then he will be responsible:

¹⁷ "If anyone sins, and does any of the things which the LORD has commanded not to be done; though he did not know it, yet he is guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

⁷ And they may no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat-idols after which they were prostituting. This is a lasting statute for them throughout their generations." '

¹⁹ And you may not have sex connection with your mother's sister or your father's sister, for they are his near relations: their sin will be on them. ²⁰ If a man lies with his aunt, he has uncovered the nakedness of his uncle; they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

¹³ But the man who is clean and not on a journey, and he fails to observe the Passover, that person will be cut off from the people because he did not present the offering of Yahweh on its appointed time. That man will bear his guilt.

²² »The other Israelites must never again come near the tent of meeting. Otherwise, they will suffer the consequences of their sin and die.

¹² ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But the man was speechless. ¹³ Then the king told the servants, ‘Tie him hand and foot and throw him outside into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
