¹² And Jethro, Moses` father-in-law, took a burnt-offering and sacrifices for God; and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses` father-in-law in the presence of God.

²¹ The LORD said to Moses, "Go down and warn the people so they don't break through to look at the LORD, and many of them perish.

¹⁸ The well, which the princes digged, which the nobles of the people delved, with the sceptre, and with their staves. And from the wilderness to Mattanah;

³³ that a nation hath heard the voice of God speaking out of fire as thou hast heard, and yet lived?

⁷ and there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye and your households shall rejoice in every work of your hands in which the LORD thy God has blessed thee.

¹⁶ Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a participation in the blood of Christ? Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?
