Deuteronomy 1:31 Cross References - VIN

31 and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your Elohim carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way you went until you came to this place.

Exodus 16:1-17

1 The whole congregation of Israelites moved from Elim to the desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai. This was on the fifteenth day of the second month after they left Egypt. 2 all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron. 3 The Israelites said to them: "If only the LORD had allowed us to die in Egypt! There we sat by our pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted! You brought us out into this desert to let us all starve to death!" 4 the LORD said to Moses: "I am going to cause food to rain down from the sky for all of you. The people must go out every day and gather enough for that day. In this way I can test them to find out if they will follow my instructions. 5 And on the sixth day they are to make ready what they get in, and it will be twice as much as they get on the other days. 6 Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites: »This evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt. 7 and in the morning, you will see the glory of the LORD, for he hears your grumblings against the LORD, and what are we that you grumble against us?" 8 Moses said: "This will happen when the LORD gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread to eat in the morning. the LORD hears your complaints against him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the LORD." 9 Then Moses said to Aaron: Say to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, Come near before the LORD, for He has heard your grumblings. 10 While Aaron was speaking to all the congregation of the Israelites, they turned toward the desert, and there the glory of the LORD was seen in the cloud. 11 The LORD said to Moses, 12 "I have heard the grumblings of the Israelites. Speak to them, saying, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be full with bread, and you will know that I am the LORD your God.'" 13 Later that evening quail came up and covered the camp, and then in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. 14 After the dew had gone, the desert was covered with thin flakes that looked like frost. 15 When the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat." 16 This is what the LORD has commanded: "Each man should gather according to what he can eat. You shall take two quarts for each person in your tent." 17 The Israelites did this, some gathering much, some little.

Numbers 11:11-12

11 So he asked: "the LORD, why have you brought me this trouble? How have I displeased you that you put the burden of all these people on me? 12 Have I conceived all this people? No foreign god was with them.

Nehemiah 9:12-23

12 and you led them by day by a pillar of cloud; and by night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein to go: 13 "You came down also on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments, 14 and made known to them your holy Sabbath, and commanded them commandments, statutes, and a law, by Moses your servant, 15 and gave them bread from the heavens for their famine; and brought them water from the rock for their thirst; and said to them to go in to possess the land which you lifted your hand to give them. 16 "But they our ancestors became arrogant and stubborn, refusing to listen to your commands. 17 They refused to listen and did not remember your wonders that you did among them. They stiffened their neck and in their rebellion determined to return to their slavery. But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abundant in loyal love, so you did not abandon them. 18 Yes, when they had made themselves a molded calf, and said, 'This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,' and had committed awful blasphemies; 19 Even then, in your great mercy, you did not give them up in the waste land: the pillar of cloud still went before them by day, guiding them on their way, and the pillar of fire by night, to give them light, and make clear the way they were to go. 20 You gave also your good Spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst. 21 Yea, forty years You sustained them in the wilderness. They lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell. 22 And you gave them kingdoms and nations and allotted them a portion. They took into possession the land of Sihon king of Heshbon and the land of Og king of Bashan. 23 You made their children numerous like the stars of the heavens and brought them to the land that you told their ancestors to enter in order to take possession.

Psalms 78:14-28

14 He led them with the cloud by day and with a light of fire by night. 15 He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. 16 And he brought streams out of the rock and caused water to flow down like rivers. 17 Yet they still continued to sin against him. They rebelled against the Most High in the desert. 18 And they tried God in their heart by asking food for their craving. 19 Nay, they spoke against God and said, "Can God provide a table in a desert? 20 Yes, he struck the rock and water flowed and streams gushed out, but can he also give food or provide meat for his people?" 21 Therefore the LORD heard and he was very angry, and a fire was kindled against Jacob, and his anger also rose up against Israel, 22 because they didn't believe in God and didn't trust in his deliverance. 23 Yet he commanded the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven. 24 and rained down on them manna to eat and gave them the grain of heaven. 25 Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food to the full. 26 He made an east wind blow in the heavens; and He led out the south wind by His power. 27 He caused meat to rain on them like dust and winged birds as the sand of the sea. 28 And He made them fall amidst their camp, all around to their tents.
