¹ In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions in his mind on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the summary of it. ² I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of the heavens strove upon the great sea. ³ And four great beasts, different one from another, came up out of the sea. ⁴ The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings. I watched until its wings were torn off. And it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it. ⁵ And behold another beast, a second, like a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. ⁶ After this I looked, and lo! another beast like a leopard; and it had four wings of a bird on it; and this beast had four heads and to it dominion was given. ⁷ After this I looked in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, frightening and terrifying, and very strong. And it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts before it; and it had ten horns. ⁸ I was thinking about the horns. And behold! Another little horn came up among them, and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. And behold! In this horn were eyes like the eyes of the man, and a mouth speaking great things. ⁹ I saw until thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames, and its wheels burning fire. ¹⁰ A stream of fire went out and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened. ¹¹ "I continued watching because of the audacious words that the horn was speaking. I kept observing until the animal was killed and its body destroyed and given over to burning fire. ¹² As for the rest of the beasts, their authority was taken away: but they let them go on living for a measure of time. ¹³ I beheld in the night vision, and behold, One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven, and He came to the Ancient of Days, and was brought near to Him. ¹⁴ And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed. ¹⁵ I Daniel was distressed in my spirit in its body, and the visions of my head troubled me. ¹⁶ I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the true meaning concerning all this. So he told me, and revealed to me the interpretation of these things. ¹⁷ These four great beasts, are four kingdoms, which shall arise out of the earth. ¹⁸ But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.' ¹⁹ Then I wanted to know the truth of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, very frightening, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of bronze; who devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with his feet; ²⁰ And concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke arrogant things, whose look was larger than the others. ²¹ I saw that this horn made war against the saints and overcame them; ²² until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High. And the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. ²³ "And he said, 'The fourth beast is the fourth kingdom that will be on the earth that will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and it will trample it and it will crush it. ²⁴ '"The ten horns are ten kings that will arise out of this kingdom! Another will arise after them. He will be different from the former, and he will subdue three kings. ²⁵ He'll speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One. He'll attempt to alter times and laws, and they'll be given into his control for a time, times, and half a time. ²⁶ Then the court will sit, and his dominion will be removed, to be eradicated and to be destroyed totally. ²⁷ And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, will be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions will serve and obey him. ²⁸ Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and my face turned pale. I kept the matter to myself."

¹ After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

² And God spoke to Israel in a vision of the night and said, Jacob! Jacob! And he said, Here I am.

⁶ He said: "Listen to my words: 'When there are prophets of the LORD among you, I make myself known to them in visions or speak to them in dreams.

¹³ In imaginations of visions of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men,

¹⁴ »God does speak, now one-way and then another, though man may not perceive it. ¹⁵ "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, ¹⁶ he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings,

¹ The LORD said to me, "Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man's pen, 'For Maher Shalal Hash Baz;'

⁸ Now go, write it on a tablet with them, and inscribe it on a scroll, that it may be for the time to come, forever, forever.

²⁸ Let the prophet who has a dream relate the dream, but let whoever receives my word speak my word truthfully. What does straw have in common with wheat?" declares the LORD.

⁷ And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings shall enslave him.

⁴ Then Jeremiah called Baruch, son of Neriah. Jeremiah dictated everything that the LORD told him. Baruch wrote it all down on a scroll.

¹ Now in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

¹⁷ And as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and understanding in all literature and science; and Daniel was skilled in all visions and dreams.

¹ In the second year of his reign Nebuchadnezzar dreamed a dream, and his spirit was amazed, and his sleep departed from him.

²⁸ But there is a God in Heaven who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed are these. ²⁹ O king, thou didst cast in thy mind, what should come hereafter: So he that is the opener of mysteries, telleth thee what is for to come.

⁵ I saw a dream which made me afraid; and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

¹ King Belshazzar held a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine with them.

²² And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this.

³⁰ In that night Belshazzar king of the Chaldeans is slain,

⁷ After this I looked in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, frightening and terrifying, and very strong. And it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts before it; and it had ten horns.

¹³ I beheld in the night vision, and behold, One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven, and He came to the Ancient of Days, and was brought near to Him.

¹⁵ I Daniel was distressed in my spirit in its body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

¹ "During the third year of King Belshazzar's reign, I, Daniel, saw a vision after the earlier vision that had appeared to me.

²⁸ “It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.

⁷ "The Sovereign LORD will do nothing without revealing his secrets to his servants the prophets.

² The LORD answered me, "Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.

¹⁷ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. ¹⁸ Even on My servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

⁴ For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.

¹ I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to gain, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord.

¹⁹ Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place after this.

⁴ And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down."

¹ After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind could blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.

¹⁵ He said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.

⁴ You are enveloped by light; more majestic than mountains filled with game.

³ '"She brought up one of her cubs, and he became a strong lion. He learned to tear the prey and he devoured men. ⁴ The nations heard about him. He was trapped in their pit. They led him with hooks to the land of Egypt. ⁵ '"When she saw her hope unfulfilled, her expectation gone, she took another of her cubs and made him a strong lion. ⁶ '"He prowled among the lions, for he was now a strong lion. He learned to tear the prey and he devoured men. ⁷ '"He broke down their strongholds and devastated their towns. His roaring terrified the residents of the land. ⁸ '"Then the nations came against him, those from regions round about. They spread their net for him, and he was trapped in their pit.

³² The head of this statue was of fine gold, its chest and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of bronze, ³³ its legs of iron, its feet part of iron and part of baked clay.

³⁷ You, O king, are a king of kings: for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. ³⁸ »He gave the children of men, the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens to your hand. He made you the ruler over them all! You are the head of gold. ³⁹ "After you, another kingdom will arise that is inferior to yours, and then a third kingdom of bronze will arise to rule all the earth. ⁴⁰ Then there will be a fourth kingdom, as strong as iron. Just as all things are broken to pieces and shattered by iron, so it will shatter and crush everything.

⁴ The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings. I watched until its wings were torn off. ¹⁷ These four great beasts, are four kingdoms, which shall arise out of the earth.

¹ I looked up again, and I saw, and look!—four chariots coming out from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze. ² In the first chariot were red horses; in the second chariot black horses; ³ And in the third, white horses; and in the fourth, horses of mixed colour. ⁴ Then I asked the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?" ⁵ The angel answered me, These are the four spirits of the sky, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. ⁶ The one with the black horses is going out to the north country, and the white horses go after them, while the dappled ones go to the south country." ⁷ When the strong horses went out, they were anxious to go to patrol the earth. And he said, "Go, patrol the earth." And they patrolled the earth. ⁸ Then he called to me, "Look! The horses that went north have caused my spirit to rest in the north country."

¹ And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns, and on his heads were blasphemous names.

⁴⁹ "the LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, as the eagle swoops down, a nation whose language you will not understand,

²³ Saul and Jonathan! They were beloved and delightful in their lives; and in their death they were not parted. They were swifter than eagles; they were stronger than lions.

⁶ how much less man who is a maggot; and the son of man who is a worm!

²⁰ Put them in fear, O LORD, let the nations know they are but men. Selah.

²⁸ whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses' hoofs seem like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind. ²⁹ They roar like a lioness. They growl like a young lion. They growl as they snatch their prey and carry it off to where no one can rescue it.

¹³ You said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mountain of assembly, in the far north. ¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will make myself like the Most High." ¹⁵ But you are brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the pit. ¹⁶ Those who see you will stare at you. They will ponder you, saying, "Is this the man who made the earth to tremble, who shook kingdoms; ¹⁷ who made the world like a desert and tore down its cities and did not let his prisoners go home?'

⁷ The lion has come up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations has set out. He has left his place to make your land a waste. Your cities will fall into ruins without inhabitant.

¹³ Look, he comes up like the clouds, and his chariots are like the whirlwind, his horses are swifter than eagles, woe to us, for we are devastated.

⁹ I'm now sending for all the tribes from the north, declares the LORD, and for my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. I'll bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I'll utterly destroy them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting desolation. ¹⁰ "I will take from them the sounds of joy and happiness, the sounds of brides and grooms, the sound of mills, and the light of lamps. ¹¹ This whole land will be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years. ¹² And it shall be, when seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, and the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, says the LORD; and I will make it everlasting ruins. ¹³ And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have spoken against it, with all that is written in this book, prophesied by Jeremiah against all the Gentiles. ¹⁴ For they have served them, whereas they were many nations, and great kings: and I will repay them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their hands. ¹⁵ "This is what the LORD the God of Israel said to me: 'Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my fury, and make all the nations to whom I am sending you drink from it. ¹⁶ And they shall drink, and stagger, and go mad, because of the sword that I will send among them. ¹⁷ So I took the cup from the LORD's hand, and I made all the nations to whom the LORD sent me drink it: ¹⁸ Jerusalem, the cities of Judah, its kings and officials to make them into a ruin, an object of horror and scorn, and a curse, as it is this day; ¹⁹ Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his officials, and all his people; ²⁰ and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod; ²¹ Edom, and Moab, and the Ammonites; ²² all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the Isles that are beyond the sea; ²³ Dedan, Tema, Buz and the shaven Ishmaelites; ²⁴ all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the various people who live in the desert; ²⁵ and all the kings of Ailam and all the kings of the Persians ²⁶ all the kings of the north, near and far, one after another-all the kingdoms of the earth. Last of all, the king of Sheshach will drink from the cup.

³⁸ Like a lion, he has left his den. Indeed, their land has become a waste because of the anger of the oppressor and because of the LORD's fierce anger."

⁴⁰ For this is what the LORD says: "Look, like an eagle one will fly swiftly and spread his wings against Moab.

³⁰ Therefore, her warriors will fall in her streets, and all her soldiers will be silenced on that day," declares the LORD. ³¹ "Look, I am against you, O arrogant one," declares Sovereign LORD Almighty, "for your day has come, the time when I will punish you. ³² The proud one will stumble and fall, and no one will raise him up. I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it will devour all who are around him.”

¹⁹ Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the sky. They chased us on the mountains, they lay in wait for us in the wilderness.

³ and say, Thus says the Sovereign LORD: A great eagle with great wings and long feathers, full of feathers of various colours, came to Lebanon, and took off the top of the cedar.

² "Son of man, tell the ruler of Tyre: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "'"In your arrogance you say, 'I am a god (strong deity). I sit on God's throne in the sea.' But you are only human and not a god, although you think you are a god. (2 Thes 2:4)

⁹ '"You will no longer say that you are a god when you face those who kill you. You will be a human, not a god, in the hands of those who kill you."'

³⁰ The king spoke: "Is this not great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling-place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?" ³¹ The word was still in the king's voice when a voice fell from the heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared: The kingdom has been taken from you! ³² You're to be driven away from people. You're to live with the wild animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like cattle, and seven years will pass you by until you realize that the Most High is sovereign over human kingdoms and grants them to whomever he desires.' ³³ The decree was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar immediately. He was driven away from people to eat grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with dew from the sky, until his hair grew like eagles' feathers and his nails like birds' claws."

³⁶ At that moment I recovered my sanity, and my honor and majesty returned to me, for the sake of my kingdom. My advisors and officials sought me out, my throne was restored, and even more greatness than I had before was added to me.

¹⁸ O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honor. ¹⁹ Because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. He killed whom he wanted to, and he kept alive whom he wanted to. He raised up whom he wanted to, and he put down whom he wanted to. ²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: ²¹ He was driven away from human society and given the mind of an animal. He lived with wild donkeys, ate grass like cattle, and his body was soaked with dew from the sky until he realized that the Most High God is sovereign over human kingdoms and places over them whomever he desires. ²² And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this. ²³ You've exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. You've had the vessels from his temple brought into your presence. And you, your officials, and your wives and mistresses drank wine from them. You praised gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which can't see, hear, or demonstrate knowledge. But you didn't honor God, who holds in his power your very life and all your ways.

⁶ Watch out! For I am bringing in the Chaldeans, that cruel and impetuous people, who sweep across the earth dispossessing people from homes not their own. ⁷ "They are feared and dreaded. Their justice and dignity are of their own being. ⁸ Their horses are more swift than leopards; they are more menacing than wolves at dusk. Their horsemen gallop; their horsemen come from afar; they fly like an eagle that is swift to devour.

⁵ Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death, and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations, and heaps to himself all peoples. ⁶ "Will not all of these ridicule him with mocking scorn? They will say, 'Woe to the one who hordes for himself what isn't his. How long will you enrich yourself by extortion?' ⁷ Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim? ⁸ Because you have plundered many nations, all the nations that are left shall plunder you, because of the blood of men, and the sins of the land and city, and of all that dwell in it. ⁹ Woe to him who robs evil booty for his house, to set his nest on high, to be delivered from the hand of evil! ¹⁰ You have plotted shame for your house, cutting off many peoples and sinning against your life.

²⁸ Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

²⁴ He looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. Two female bears came out of the woods, and mauled forty-two of those youths.

¹² ¶ It is better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly.

¹⁷ Behold, I will stir up against them the Medes; who will not regard silver, and who will not delight in gold. ¹⁸ "And their bows will mow down the young men. They will not even have compassion on the fruit of the womb. Nor will they have compassion on children.

⁹ Come, all you beasts of the field, come and devour, all you beasts of the forest!

²¹ "Attack the land of Merathaim and the people who live in Pekod. Claim them for me by killing them with a sword, says the LORD. Do everything I commanded you. ²² A noise of battle [is] in the land, and of great destruction." ²³ How s cut and broken the hammer of all the earth! How hath Babylon become an astonishment among the nations! ²⁴ "I will set traps for you, Babylon. You will be caught, but you will not know it. You will be found and captured because you have opposed the LORD." ²⁵ the LORD will open his armory and bring out the weapons of his fury, because the LORD Almighty has a job to do in the land of the Babylonians. ²⁶ "Come to her from afar. Open up her barns. Pile her up like heaps of grain, and completely destroy her. Don't leave any survivors. ²⁷ Kill all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their punishment. ²⁸ Fugitives and refugees from Babylon are coming to Zion to tell about the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance for his temple. ²⁹ "Summon many to Babylon, all those who bend the bow. Camp all around her, let no one escape. Repay her according to her deeds. Do to her just as she has done. For she has behaved arrogantly against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁷ "As for you, son of man, the Sovereign LORD says: 'Speak to every kind of bird and to every beast of the field: "Assemble and come, gather from every side to my sacrifice that I am going to sacrifice for you. It is a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. ¹⁸ "'You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan."' ¹⁹ Eat the fat your belly full, and drink blood till ye be drunken of the slaughter, which I have slain unto you. ²⁰ "'You will be glutted at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,' declares the Sovereign LORD.

³⁹ "After you, another kingdom will arise that is inferior to yours, and then a third kingdom of bronze will arise to rule all the earth.

²⁸ Peres; your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

³ Then I lifted up my eyes, and looked. And behold, a ram with two horns stood before the canal having two horns, and the two horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. ⁴ I watched the ram charging westward, northward, and southward. No animal could stand before him, nor was there anyone who could deliver from his control. He did as he pleased and exalted himself.

² “Now I will show you the truth. Behold, three more kings will stand up in Persia; and the fourth will be far richer than all of them. When he has grown strong through his riches, he will stir up all against the realm of Greece.

⁸ "Like a bear that has lost her cubs, I will attack you. I will rip you open. Like a lion I will devour you. Like a wild animal I will tear you apart.

⁴ The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings. I watched until its wings were torn off. And it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

⁵ And I was considering, and, behold, a he-goat came from the south-west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the earth: and the goat had a horn between his eyes. ⁶ It approached the ram with the two horns that I had observed while standing beside the canal, and charged at him, out of control with rage. ⁷ I saw him come close to the ram. He was driven with anger and he struck the ram and broke his two horns. The ram had no power to stand before him. He threw him down to the ground, and trampled upon him. No one could deliver the ram out of his hand. ⁸ The male goat became very strong. But when he was strong, the large horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four prominent horns toward the four winds of heaven.

²⁰ "The ram that you saw who had two horns represents the kings of Media and Persia. ²¹ And the shaggy goat is the king of Greece. And the great horn between his eyes is the first king. ²² The shattered horn and the four that took its place are four kingdoms that will come from his nation, but they will not have his strength.

²⁰ Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia. When I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come.

³ And a mighty king will arise, and he will rule with great dominion, and he will do as he pleases. ⁴ However, after he has arisen, his kingdom will be broken and parceled out in all directions. It will not go to his succeeding descendants nor will its power match how he ruled, because his sovereignty will be uprooted and given to successors besides them. ⁵ And the king of the south will be strong, but one of his captains will be stronger than he and will be ruler; and his rule will be a great rule. ⁶ And at the end of some years they will make an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a peace treaty, but she will not retain her position of power, and his offspring will not endure, and she will be given up, she and her attendants and her child supporting her, in those times. ⁷ "'One of her family line will replace him. He'll come against the army and enter the fortress of the northern king, conquering them and becoming victorious. ⁸ He'll also take their gods, their molten images, and their valuable vessels of silver and gold into Egypt as hostages. He'll avoid the northern king for a number of years. ⁹ "The king of the north will come into the realm of the king of the south, but he will return into his own land. ¹⁰ His sons will wage war, and will assemble a multitude of great forces, which will come on, and overflow, and pass through. They will return and wage war, even to his fortress. ¹¹ »And the king of the south will be moved with anger, and will come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north. He will assemble a large army, and the army will be defeated. ¹² »The army will be lifted up, and his heart will be filled with pride. He will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not prevail. ¹³ And the king of the north will again raise a multitude, greater than the former, and at the end of some years he will surely come with a great army and with great supplies. ¹⁴ And in those times many shall rise up against the king of the south: also the violent ones among your people shall rise up in confirmation of the vision; but they shall fail. ¹⁵ »So the king of the north will come, and cast up a siege ramp, and capture a well-fortified city. The forces of the south will not stand, neither his chosen people, neither will there be any strength to stand. ¹⁶ And he who comes against him will do his pleasure, and no one will be able to keep his place before him: he will take up his position in the beautiful land and in his hand there will be destruction. ¹⁷ He'll decide to come with the full power of his kingdom, bringing with him an alliance that he'll implement. He'll give him a daughter in marriage to overthrow it, but it won't succeed or work out for him. ¹⁸ Then he'll turn his attention to the coastal lands and will capture many. But a commander will put an end to his insolence, repaying him for his scorn. ¹⁹ Then he will turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land; but he will stumble and fall, and won't be found. ²⁰ "'His successor will send out a tax collector for royal splendor, but in a short period of time he'll be shattered, though neither in anger nor in battle.'"

⁷ Therefore I will be like a lion to them, like a leopard I will lurk by the path.

² The beast I saw looked like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear. His mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.

⁴³ I beat them small as the dust of the earth; I trampled them like the dirt of highways.

⁴⁰ Then there will be a fourth kingdom, as strong as iron. Just as all things are broken to pieces and shattered by iron, so it will shatter and crush everything. ⁴¹ Whereas you saw the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but there will be in it of the strength of the iron, because you saw the iron mixed with miry clay. ⁴² As the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong, and partly broken.

² I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of the heavens strove upon the great sea.

¹⁹ Then I wanted to know the truth of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, very frightening, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of bronze; who devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with his feet; ²⁰ And concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke arrogant things, whose look was larger than the others.

²³ "And he said, 'The fourth beast is the fourth kingdom that will be on the earth that will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and it will trample it and it will crush it. ²⁴ '"The ten horns are ten kings that will arise out of this kingdom! Another will arise after them. He will be different from the former, and he will subdue three kings.

¹⁰ and it greatens to the host of the heavens; and it fells some of the host and of the stars to the earth, and tramples them.

³ Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads.

⁷ And the angel said to me, Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

¹² “And the ten horns you saw are ten kings, who have not received a kingdom yet, but for one hour they will receive authority as kings, along with the beast.

³ Don't continue to talk proudly, and don't speak arrogantly, for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

³ May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts,

²⁰ And concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke arrogant things, whose look was larger than the others. ²¹ I saw that this horn made war against the saints and overcame them; ²² until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High. And the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. ²³ "And he said, 'The fourth beast is the fourth kingdom that will be on the earth that will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and it will trample it and it will crush it. ²⁴ '"The ten horns are ten kings that will arise out of this kingdom! Another will arise after them. He will be different from the former, and he will subdue three kings. ²⁵ He'll speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One. He'll attempt to alter times and laws, and they'll be given into his control for a time, times, and half a time.

⁹ Out of one of them came forth a little horn, which grew exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beautiful land. ¹⁰ and it greatens to the host of the heavens; and it fells some of the host and of the stars to the earth, and tramples them. ¹¹ It magnified itself, even to the prince of the host. It took the continual burnt offering from him and the place of his sanctuary was thrown down. ¹² The host was given over to it together with the daily sacrifice because of transgression. And it cast down truth to the ground, and kept prospering.

²³ In the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressions have reached their full measure, a rash and deceitful king shall arise. ²⁴ His power will be mighty, but not by his own power. He will destroy awesomely, and will prosper in what he does. He will destroy the mighty ones and the holy people. ²⁵ "Through his policy he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand. He will boast about himself in his heart. In their security they will destroy many. He will even stand up against the prince of princes; but he will be destroyed without human power.

³⁶ "'The king will do as he pleases. He'll exalt and magnify himself above every god, speaking amazing things against the God of Gods. He'll succeed until the indignation is completed, because what has been determined must be carried out.

⁴ Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

² People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

¹⁸ With lofty but empty words, they appeal to the sensual passions of the flesh and entice the ones who are just escaping from those who live in error.

¹⁶ These men are grumblers and complainers, living according to their own evil desires; they talk big, flattering people to gain advantage.

⁷ The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were victor's crowns that looked like gold, and their faces were like human faces.

⁵ It was allowed to utter great boasts and blasphemies, and to exert authority for forty-two months. ⁶ He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to slander his name, and his dwelling place, and those who live in heaven.

¹¹ I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. ¹² He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. ¹³ He performs great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men.

⁸ All your robes are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia. From palaces of ivory stringed instruments gladden you.

² Before the mountains were born and you brought forth the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

²⁴ Do not take me away in the midst of my days; Your years are through all generations. ²⁵ In the beginning You, O Lord, laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands.

² He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain. ³ He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind. ⁴ He makes winds his angels, and flames of fire his servants.

⁶ For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

¹³ The living creatures looked like burning coals and torches. Fire moved back and forth between the living creatures. The fire was bright and lightning came out of the fire. ¹⁴ The living creatures ran back and forth like lightning. ¹⁵ As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each of them, with its four faces. ¹⁶ And the appearance of the wheels was as the appearance of beryl: and the four had one likeness: and their work was as it were a wheel in a wheel. ¹⁷ When they moved, they moved in any of the four directions without turning as they moved. ¹⁸ And their rims were high and awesome, and all four of their rims were full of eyes all around. ¹⁹ When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. ²⁰ Wherever the spirit wanted to go the creatures went. The wheels rose with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. ²¹ When the creatures moved, the wheels moved. When the creatures stood still, the wheels stood still. And when the creatures rose from the earth, the wheels rose with them. This is because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

² And He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, and fill your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubs, and scatter them on the city. And he went in before me. ³ Now the cherubim were standing on the right side of the house, when the man went in: and the cloud filled the inner court. ⁴ And the glory of the LORD lifted up from the cherub, over the threshold of the house. And the house was filled with the cloud. And the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the LORD. ⁵ The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when he speaks. ⁶ And then at his command to the man clothed in linen, saying, "Take fire from among the wheel area from among the cherubim," he went and stood beside the wheel. ⁷ The cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took some of it, and put it into the hands of him who was clothed in linen, who took it and went out.

³⁴ you see until a stone is cut - not by hands which strikes the image on his feet of iron and clay and pulverizes them: ³⁵ Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were broken in pieces together and became like chaff from a summer threshing floor that the breeze carries away without leaving a trace. Then the rock that struck the statue grew into a huge mountain and filled the entire earth.

⁴⁴ “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, nor will its sovereignty be left to another people; but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it will stand forever. ⁴⁵ »You saw a stone cut out of the mountain without hands. It broke the iron, brass, clay, silver, and the gold to pieces. The great God made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is certain, and the interpretation of it is sure.«

²² until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High. And the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

² But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.

¹² Aren't you from everlasting, LORD my God, my Holy One? We will not die. LORD, you have appointed him for judgment. You, Rock, have established him to punish.

² There He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

³ and his clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone on earth could bleach them.

³⁰ But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that He would place one of his descendants on his throne.

³³ Exalted, then, to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

²⁴ Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. ²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

⁹ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christthe righteousness that comes from God and is by faith,

⁷ and to grant relief to you who are oppressed, and to us as well, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels ⁸ Taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ who alone has immortality, residing in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen or can see; to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.

⁷ But by the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. ⁸ But do not overlook this one fact, dear friends, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like one day. ⁹ The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be dissolved in the fire, and the earth and its works will not be found.

⁵ This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.

¹⁴ His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like a flame of fire;

¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of all men slave and free, small and great.”

² Then he said, "the LORD came from Sinai, and he dawned upon them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran, and he came with myriads of holy ones, at his right hand a fiery law for them.

¹⁹ Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

³ Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him.

¹⁷ The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary.

¹¹ Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roar, with all that filleth it. ¹² Let the field with all that is in it exult. Then all the trees of the forests will sing for joy ¹³ before the LORD; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.

² Cloud and thick darkness are surrounding him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. ³ A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side.

²⁷ Behold, the name of the LORD comes from far, burning with His anger, and uplifting of smoke; His lips are full of fury, and His tongue like a devouring fire.

³³ For a place of fire has long been ready; yes, it has been made ready for the king; he has made it deep and wide: it is massed with fire and much wood; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of fire, puts a light to it.

¹⁵ For behold, the LORD will come with fire, and his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. ¹⁶ For by fire and by His sword the LORD will execute judgment with all flesh; and the slain of the LORD will be many.

²⁶ Then the court will sit, and his dominion will be removed, to be eradicated and to be destroyed totally.

⁵ The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, yes, the world, and all who dwell in it. ⁶ His indignation—who can stand before it? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; rocks are shattered before him.

⁵ "You will flee by the valley of my mountains. For the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel. Yes you will flee the same as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

¹⁶ Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other. The LORD listened and took note, and a scroll of remembrance was written in his presence about those who fear the LORD and honor His name. ¹⁷ "They'll be mine," says the LORD of the Heavenly Armies, "in the day when I prepare my treasured possession. I'll spare them, just as a man spares his own son who serves him. ¹⁸ When you return, you will see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not."

³¹ When the Son of man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory,

²² But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the joyful assembly

¹⁴ Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these, saying: "Behold, the LORD came with many thousands of his holy ones.

¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels about the throne, and about the beasts and the elders, and I heard thousand thousands,

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne, and him who was seated on it. 'The earth and the heavens fled from his presence; no place was left for them.' ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And there were open books, and one of them was the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books. ¹³ The sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

⁸ I was thinking about the horns. And behold! Another little horn came up among them, and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. And behold! In this horn were eyes like the eyes of the man, and a mouth speaking great things.

²⁵ He'll speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One. He'll attempt to alter times and laws, and they'll be given into his control for a time, times, and half a time. ²⁶ Then the court will sit, and his dominion will be removed, to be eradicated and to be destroyed totally.

²⁵ "Through his policy he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand. He will boast about himself in his heart. In their security they will destroy many. He will even stand up against the prince of princes; but he will be destroyed without human power.

⁴⁵ And he shall pitch his royal tents between the sea and the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he shall come to his end, with no one to help him.

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

⁸ Therefore in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

²⁰ But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

⁴ Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was given. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony to Jesus and because of the word of God, and who had not worshipped the beast or his image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

¹⁰ The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And there were open books, and one of them was the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books.

⁴ The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings. I watched until its wings were torn off. And it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it. ⁵ And behold another beast, a second, like a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. ⁶ After this I looked, and lo! another beast like a leopard; and it had four wings of a bird on it; and this beast had four heads and to it dominion was given.

⁷ I saw him come close to the ram. He was driven with anger and he struck the ram and broke his two horns. The ram had no power to stand before him. He threw him down to the ground, and trampled upon him. No one could deliver the ram out of his hand.

⁴ what is man, that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You care for him? ⁵ You made him a little lower than the angels, You have crowned him with glory and honor;

⁵ God is gone up amid shouting, the LORD amid the sound of the trumpet.

¹⁷ The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary. ¹⁸ You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive: you have received gifts for men; yes, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

⁶ For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

¹⁹ Look, like a lion he comes up from the thickets of the Jordan to a pastureland by a constantly flowing stream. So I will chase him away hurriedly from it. And whoever is chosen I will appoint over it. For who is like me, and who can summon me? And who is this, the shepherd who can stand before me?"

²⁶ Above the dome over their heads was something that looked like a throne made of sapphire. On the throne was a figure that looked like a human.

⁹ I saw until thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames, and its wheels burning fire.

⁴¹ The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil,

³⁰ At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

⁶⁴ “You have said it yourself,” Jesus answered. “But I say to all of you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

²⁶ And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

⁶¹ But he was silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" ⁶² “I am,” said Jesus, “and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”

²⁷ At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

³⁶ But watch at all times, and pray that ye may be able to escape all the things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

¹³ No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.

²⁷ and he has given him authority to judge, because he is the Son of Man.

³⁴ The crowd replied, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever. So how can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

⁵⁶ “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

²⁰ which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, ²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.

⁶ who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, ⁷ but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. ⁸ And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to deatheven death on a cross.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil,

²⁴ For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

⁷ Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him—even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be! Amen.

¹³ And among the lampstands was one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.

¹⁸ the Living One. I was dead, and behold, now I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and of Hades.

¹⁴ Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand.

⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill." ⁷ I will tell of the decree. The LORD said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father. ⁸ "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.

⁶ You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

¹¹ Yes, all kings will bow down before him. All nations will serve him.

¹⁷ His name endures forever, his name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in him, all nations will call him blessed.

²² when the peoples and the kingdoms are gathered together to serve the LORD.

¹ A Psalm by David. the LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. ² the LORD will send out your mighty scepter from Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies.

¹³ Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. the LORD is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds.

¹⁰ The LORD will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD.

⁷ Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

¹² For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you will perish. Yes, those nations will be utterly wasted.

⁴ Then the herald proclaimed: »You are commanded to do this, O peoples, nations, and men of every language.

³ How great are his signs! How mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. His dominion is from generation to generation.

²⁶ "I hereby decree that in every area of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, who endures forever. His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed, and his dominion continues forever.

¹⁸ But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.'

²⁷ And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, will be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions will serve and obey him.

²¹ Saviors will go up on Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom will be the LORD's.

⁷ "I will make the lame a remnant and the outcast far off a strong nation. the LORD will reign over them in mount Zion from now on and forever.

²⁷ "All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

³³ and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will never end!”

²² All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”

¹¹ Now while they were listening to these things, he went on and told a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately. ¹² So He said, “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to lay claim to his kingship and then return.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has put everything in his hands.

²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. ²⁴ Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For as the Father has life in himself; so he has granted to the Son to have life in himself; ²⁷ and he has given him authority to judge, because he is the Son of Man.

²⁴ Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. ²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy to be destroyed is death. ²⁷ For “God has put everything under His feet.” Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him. ²⁸ And when all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all.

²⁰ which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, ²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. ²² And he subordinated all things under his feet, and appointed him head over all things for the church,

⁹ Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

²⁸ Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and offer to God acceptable worship with reverence and awe,

²² who has gone to heaven and is at God's right hand, with angels, hierarchies, and powers made subject to him.

²¹ To him who overcomes I will grant the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him.

⁷ And he asked Pharaoh's officers who were with him in ward in his master's house, saying, Why do ye look so sad today? ⁸ They answered: We have dreamed a dream, and there is nobody to interpret it to us. And Joseph said to them: Doth not interpretation belong to God? Tell me what you have dreamed:

⁸ In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

¹⁷ I didn't sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation. ¹⁸ Why is my pain unending and my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? You are like a deceptive brook, whose waters cannot be depended on.

¹⁶ I haven't run away from being your shepherd, and I haven't longed for the day of sickness. You know what comes out from my lips, it's open before you.

³ The king said: "I had a dream that troubles me and I want to understand what the dream means."

¹⁹ Then Daniel (also known as Belteshazzar) was greatly troubled for a while and was terrified by his thoughts. The king said, "Belteshazzar, don't let the dream or its meaning terrify you." Belteshazzar responded, "Your majesty, if only the dream were about your enemies and its meaning about those who oppose you!

¹ In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions in his mind on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the summary of it.

²⁸ Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and my face turned pale. I kept the matter to myself."

²⁷ I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick for some days. Then I rose up, and did the king's business. I wondered at the vision, but no one understood it.

¹⁶ I heard and my body trembled! My lips quivered at the voice. Rottenness entered into my bones and I tremble. I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, for the people who invade us.

⁴¹ As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it ⁴² and said, “If only you had known on this day what would bring you peace! But now it is hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For the days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, ⁴⁴ They will level you to the ground—you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”

² I have deep sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. ³ For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my own flesh and blood,

¹⁴ since I know that it will soon be laid aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

⁹ I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it, and eat it up. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey." ¹⁰ So I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it; and it was sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter. ¹¹ They told me, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."

¹⁰ A stream of fire went out and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened.

¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, "How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled?" ¹⁴ He said to me: "Two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary will be cleansed." ¹⁵ Now when I, Daniel, had seen this vision, and sought for the understanding of it: behold, there stood before me a thing like unto a man. ¹⁶ And I heard a man's voice in the river of Ulai, which cried, and said, "O Gabriel, make this man understand the vision."

²² He instructed me: "O Daniel," he said, "I have now come to give you wisdom (insight) and understanding.

⁵ I looked up to see a man clothed in linen. His loins were girded with pure gold of the Uphaz region. ⁶ His body was like beryl, his face flashed like lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and legs were like polished bronze, and his speech roared like that of a crowd.

¹¹ He said to me, "Daniel, man greatly loved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright; for I have now been sent to you." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling. ¹² Then he said: "Do not fear Daniel! From the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come in response to your prayer.

⁵ Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood two others, the one on this bank of the river, and the other on that bank of the river. ⁶ And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "How long shall it be till these wonders take place?"

⁸ "I stared into the night, and there was a man mounted on a red horse! The horse was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him there were red, brown, and white horses. ⁹ And I asked, "What are these, my lord?" And the angel who was talking with me said, "I will show you what these are." ¹⁰ The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered, They are the ones the LORD has sent to go back and forth through the earth. ¹¹ Then they reported to the angel of the LORD who stood among the myrtle trees, "We have wandered throughout the earth and look! the entire earth is at rest. Everything is quiet and peaceful."

³ Look! That angel who was talking to me left, and another angel came forward to meet him.

⁷ 'Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts: If thou wilt walk in my ways, and keep my watch: thou shalt rule my house, and keep my courts, and I will give thee place among these that stand here.

⁵ Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has triumphed to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

¹³ Then one of the elders addressed me: “These in white robes,” he asked, “who are they, and where have they come from?” ¹⁴ I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹⁴ from men by your hand, Yahweh, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.

³ And four great beasts, different one from another, came up out of the sea. ⁴ The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings. I watched until its wings were torn off. And it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

¹⁹ He said: I will make you know what will happen in the final time of indignation for the vision is for the appointed time of the end.

³⁶ Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now, My kingdom is not of this realm.”

¹¹ I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.

¹⁶ Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you shall make them princes in all the land.

⁵ Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds. ⁶ May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand, ⁷ to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, ⁸ to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron; ⁹ to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise the LORD!

¹² For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you will perish. Yes, those nations will be utterly wasted. ¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you: the juniper, the box tree, and the cypress together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; yea, I will glorify the place of My feet. ¹⁴ "The sons of those who oppress you will bow in front of you. All who loathe you will bow at your feet. They will call you the city of the LORD, Zion, the city of the Holy One of Israel.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.

¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

¹¹ Here is a trustworthy saying: if we died with him, we will also live with him; ¹² If we endure, we will reign with him! If we disown him, he will also disown us!

²⁶ And he who overcomes, and does my will to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations; ²⁷ He will rule them with an iron scepter and shatter them like pottery—just as I have received authority from My Father.

¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth."

⁴⁰ Then there will be a fourth kingdom, as strong as iron. Just as all things are broken to pieces and shattered by iron, so it will shatter and crush everything. ⁴¹ Whereas you saw the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but there will be in it of the strength of the iron, because you saw the iron mixed with miry clay. ⁴² As the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong, and partly broken. ⁴³ And in that you saw the iron was mixed with wet clay, so they will mix in marriage and they will not cling to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.

¹¹ "I continued watching because of the audacious words that the horn was speaking. I kept observing until the animal was killed and its body destroyed and given over to burning fire.

²³ "And he said, 'The fourth beast is the fourth kingdom that will be on the earth that will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and it will trample it and it will crush it.

⁹ Out of one of them came forth a little horn, which grew exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beautiful land. ¹⁰ and it greatens to the host of the heavens; and it fells some of the host and of the stars to the earth, and tramples them. ¹¹ It magnified itself, even to the prince of the host. It took the continual burnt offering from him and the place of his sanctuary was thrown down.

³⁶ "'The king will do as he pleases. He'll exalt and magnify himself above every god, speaking amazing things against the God of Gods. He'll succeed until the indignation is completed, because what has been determined must be carried out. ³⁷ He will have no respect for the gods of his fathers or for the god desired by women; he will have no respect for any god: for he will put himself on high over all.

¹² The host was given over to it together with the daily sacrifice because of transgression. And it cast down truth to the ground, and kept prospering.

²⁴ His power will be mighty, but not by his own power. He will destroy awesomely, and will prosper in what he does. He will destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.

³¹ And forces shall appear on his part, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

⁷ I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it will be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have finished breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.

⁷ When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. ⁸ Their corpses will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. ⁹ For three days and a half, men of all peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will look at their bodies, and will not let them be buried.

³ Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads. ⁴ And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child when it was born.

⁵ It was allowed to utter great boasts and blasphemies, and to exert authority for forty-two months. ⁶ He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to slander his name, and his dwelling place, and those who live in heaven. ⁷ It was allowed to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. It was also given authority over every tribe, people, languages, and nation. ⁸ And all who dwell on the earth wilt worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. ⁹ He who has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ If anyone is going into captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, by the sword he is to be killed. Here is the patient endurance and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. ¹² He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. ¹³ He performs great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men. ¹⁴ Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived. ¹⁵ The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image would also speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed. ¹⁶ And he causes everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand, or on his forehead: ¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. ¹⁸ Here is wisdom: He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is a number of a man. And its number is 666

⁶ I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God's people, and the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her I was perfectly amazed,

¹⁹ Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.

⁴ For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed has come.

⁹ I saw until thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames, and its wheels burning fire. ¹⁰ A stream of fire went out and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened. ¹¹ "I continued watching because of the audacious words that the horn was speaking. I kept observing until the animal was killed and its body destroyed and given over to burning fire.

²⁸ Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁹ and I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred on me, ³⁰ so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

² Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? ³ Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

⁶ and has made us a kingdom and priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹¹ But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. ¹² Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on. ¹³ In that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven. ¹⁴ The second woe has passed; behold, the third woe is coming soon. ¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." ¹⁶ Then the twenty-four elders who were seated on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. ¹⁸ The nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead, and to reward Your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear Your name, both small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

⁸ And there followed another angel, saying, Fallen, fallen, is Babylon the great, she who made all the nations drink of the maddening wine of her adulteries. ⁹ The third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, ¹⁰ will drink the wine of God's wrath, which has been poured undiluted into the cup of his anger. He will be tortured with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the lamb. ¹¹ The smoke from their torture goes up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image or for anyone who receives the mark of its name." ¹² Here is a call for the endurance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. ¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them." ¹⁴ Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. ¹⁵ Then another angel came out from the Temple, crying in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud-- 'Take your sickle and reap, for the time to reap has come; the Harvest of Earth is ready.' ¹⁶ So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped. ¹⁷ Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. ¹⁸ Still another angel, with authority over the fire, came from the altar and called out in a loud voice to the angel with the sharp sickle, “Swing your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the vine of the earth, because its grapes are ripe.” ¹⁹ So the angel swung his sickle in the earth, gathered the grapes from the earth, and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath. ²⁰ The 'grapes were trodden in the press' outside the city; and blood came out of the press, rising as high as the bridles of the horses for a distance of two hundred miles.

¹¹ Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war. ¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He had a name written which no one knows but he himself. ¹³ He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God. ¹⁴ The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses, and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. ¹⁵ And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ and on his robe and on his thigh he has this name written-- 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.' ¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, ¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of all men slave and free, small and great.” ¹⁹ Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. ²⁰ But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. ²¹ The rest were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves upon their bodies.

⁹ They came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, and the beloved city. Then fire came down from heaven and consumed them. ¹⁰ The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

⁴⁰ Then there will be a fourth kingdom, as strong as iron. Just as all things are broken to pieces and shattered by iron, so it will shatter and crush everything.

¹ Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.

²⁰ And concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke arrogant things, whose look was larger than the others.

³ Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, ⁴ Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. ⁵ Do ye not remember, that when I was with you, I told you these things? ⁶ And now you know what is holding him back, that he may be revealed in his own time. ⁷ For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way. ⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. ⁹ The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous signs, lying wonders, ¹⁰ and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

¹ Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, ² through the pretensions of liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron, ³ They forbid people to get married and require them to avoid [eating] certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and [fully] know the truth.

³ And the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, where I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.

¹² “And the ten horns you saw are ten kings, who have not received a kingdom yet, but for one hour they will receive authority as kings, along with the beast. ¹³ These have one purpose and they give their power and authority to the beast.

¹⁶ The ten horns and the beast you saw will hate the prostitute. They will leave her abandoned and naked. They will eat her flesh and burn her up with fire, ¹⁷ For God has put in their hearts to accomplish his purpose, by agreeing to give their sovereignty to the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. ¹⁸ The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth."

²³ "Who is it you have insulted and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? It is against the Holy One of Israel!

²¹ "He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to the discerning.

²⁵ You will be driven from men. Your dwelling will be with the beasts of the field. You will eat grass like oxen and will be wet with the dew of heaven. Seven times shall pass over you until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.

³² You're to be driven away from people. You're to live with the wild animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like cattle, and seven years will pass you by until you realize that the Most High is sovereign over human kingdoms and grants them to whomever he desires.'

²⁸ "Then king of the north will return to his land with great wealth. His heart will be against the holy covenant. He will do what he pleases and return to his own land.

³⁰ For the Kittim ships will come against him. And he will be grieved and turn back and be furious against the holy covenant. And he will act, and he will return and heed the forsakers of the holy covenant. ³¹ And forces shall appear on his part, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

³⁶ "'The king will do as he pleases. He'll exalt and magnify himself above every god, speaking amazing things against the God of Gods. He'll succeed until the indignation is completed, because what has been determined must be carried out. ³⁷ He will have no respect for the gods of his fathers or for the god desired by women; he will have no respect for any god: for he will put himself on high over all. ³⁸ But instead he shall honor the god of fortresses; a god whom his fathers did not know shall he honor with gold and silver, and with valuable stones, and costly gifts.

¹¹ From the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred ninety days. ¹² Blessed is the one who waits and reaches the 1,335 days.

⁹ When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained; ¹⁰ And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”

² But leave out the outer court of the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. And they shall trample the holy city for forty-two months. ³ And I will authorize My two witnesses to prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.

⁷ When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. ⁸ Their corpses will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. ⁹ For three days and a half, men of all peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will look at their bodies, and will not let them be buried. ¹⁰ The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and celebrate by sending presents to one another, for these two prophets were a torment to the inhabitants of the earth.

⁶ Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where a place had been prepared for her by God so that she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

¹⁴ But the woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to her place in the desert, where she is to be taken care of for a time, times, and a half-time, on account of the serpent.

⁵ It was allowed to utter great boasts and blasphemies, and to exert authority for forty-two months. ⁶ He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to slander his name, and his dwelling place, and those who live in heaven. ⁷ It was allowed to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. It was also given authority over every tribe, people, languages, and nation. ⁸ And all who dwell on the earth wilt worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. ⁹ He who has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ If anyone is going into captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, by the sword he is to be killed. Here is the patient endurance and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.

¹⁵ The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image would also speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed. ¹⁶ And he causes everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand, or on his forehead: ¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

¹² Here is a call for the endurance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

⁶ for they shed the blood of your people and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink, as they deserve."

²⁴ In her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on the earth."

¹³ In that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

¹⁰ The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. ¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne, and him who was seated on it. 'The earth and the heavens fled from his presence; no place was left for them.'

⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill." ⁷ I will tell of the decree. The LORD said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father. ⁸ "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. ⁹ "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!" ¹⁰ So then, O kings, be wise. Be warned, O rulers of the earth. ¹¹ Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed (happy) are all who take refuge (put trust) in him.

²⁷ All the limits of the earth shall remember and return to the LORD, And all the families of the nations shall bow down before Him."

⁹ All nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord. They shall glorify your name.

²³ Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed.” ²⁴ Can prey be taken from a warrior? Or can prisoners of a tyrant be rescued? ²⁵ But Yahweh says, “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the plunder retrieved from the fierce, for I will contend with him who contends with you and I will save your children. ²⁶ I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they will be drunk on their own blood, as with sweet wine. Then all flesh shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

³ "For you will spread out to the right and to the left. Your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.

¹¹ "Your gates will always be open. They will never be closed day or night so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations. Even their kings are led as prisoners. ¹² For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you will perish. Yes, those nations will be utterly wasted. ¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you: the juniper, the box tree, and the cypress together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; yea, I will glorify the place of My feet. ¹⁴ "The sons of those who oppress you will bow in front of you. All who loathe you will bow at your feet. They will call you the city of the LORD, Zion, the city of the Holy One of Israel. ¹⁵ Although you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations. ¹⁶ You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

³⁴ "At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven and my understanding returned to me. I blessed the Most High and I praised and honored the one who lives forever. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation.

¹⁴ And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

¹⁹ Behold, at that time I will deal with all that afflict you: and I will save her that is lame, and gather those that were driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. ²⁰ At that time I will bring you in, and at that time I will gather you; for I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your eyes, says the LORD.

⁹ The LORD will be king over all the earth at that time. There will be one LORD, and his name the only one.

¹⁶ and on his robe and on his thigh he has this name written-- 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.'

⁵ And there will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light; and they will reign for ever and ever.

¹⁰ And he told it to his father and to his brothers. And his father rebuked him and said to him, "What is this dream that you have dreamed? Will I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the ground to you?"

⁶ Then his face changed and his thoughts terrified him, and his hip joints gave way and his knees knocked together.

¹⁷ "As he approached where I was standing, I became terrified and fell on my face. But he said to me, 'Son of man, understand that the vision pertains to the time of the end.'

¹⁹ He said: I will make you know what will happen in the final time of indignation for the vision is for the appointed time of the end.

⁸ So I was left alone, and saw this great vision. No strength remained in me; for my face grew deathly pale, and I retained no strength.

²⁷ Then both the kings with their hearts bent on mischief will speak lies at one table. But it will not prosper. Because an end is still put off for a time,

⁹ And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

¹³ Now as for you, go on your way until the end you'll rest and then rise to receive your reward at the end of the age.'"

¹⁵ As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were filled with awe and ran to greet Him.

¹⁹ But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.

⁵¹ Then He went down to Nazareth with them and was subject to them. But His mother treasured up all these things in her heart.

⁴⁴ "Listen carefully to these words. The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into human hands."
