¹⁴ I will surely restore my people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them. They will plant vineyards and drink the wine from them. They will plant gardens and eat the fruit from them.

⁶ (53:7) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God turneth the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

⁴ They will rebuild the old ruins. They will raise up the former devastated places. They will repair the ruined cities that have been devastated for many generations.

⁸ the LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by his mighty arm, "Surely I will never again give your grain as food to your enemies, and surely foreigners shall not drink your new wine at which you have labored." ⁹ But those who have garnered it will eat it and praise the LORD. And those who have gathered it will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.

²³ This is what the LORD of the Heavenly Armies, the God of Israel, says: "They'll again speak this word in the land of Judah and its towns when I restore their fortunes, 'The LORD bless you, righteous dwelling, holy mountain.'

²⁸ Just as I've watched over them to pull up, tear down, overthrow, destroy, and bring disaster, so I'll watch over them to build and to plant," declares the LORD.

³⁸ "The time is coming," declares the LORD, "when the city will be rebuilt for me from the Tower of Hananel to Corner Gate. ³⁹ »A measuring line will stretch from there straight to the Hill of Gareb, and then it will turn to Goah. ⁴⁰ "The whole valley is filled with its dead bodies and ashes. ²⁵ Therefore thus says the Sovereign LORD: "Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob, and I will have compassion on all of the house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.

¹ "For, look, in those days, and in that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, ² "I will gather all nations! I will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will execute judgment upon them there for my people and for my heritage, Israel. They have scattered my people among the nations and they have divided up my land.

¹¹ Forasmuch therefore as you trample on the poor, and take taxes of wheat from him- therefore you who have built houses of cut stone will not dwell in them. You who have planted pleasant vineyards shall not drink their wine.

¹³ Their wealth will become a plunder, and their houses a desolation. Yes, they will build houses, but won’t inhabit them. They will plant vineyards, but won’t drink their wine.
