¹ Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

¹⁹ By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread, until your return to the ground. For from it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

¹⁹ How much more, those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!

²⁵ But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth. ²⁶ Even after my skin has been destroyed, clothed in my flesh I will see God,

²² You lift me up to the wind—you make me ride it, and you toss me about in the storm.

⁹ Then my enemies will turn back when I call. This I know because God is for me.

⁵⁸ "We heard him say, 'I will destroy this Temple made by hands and in three days I will build another not made by hands.'

² In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? ³ And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, so that you may be where I am.

⁹ For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.

⁴⁶ But the spiritual is not first, but the natural; and afterward the spiritual. ⁴⁷ The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. ⁴⁸ As was the earthly man, so also are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven.

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

⁴ For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed, but to be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

¹¹ In Him you were also circumcised by the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, not with a circumcision done by hands but with the circumcision of the Christ,

¹² This is why I am suffering as I am, but I am not ashamed of it, for I know whom I have trusted and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have intrusted to him for that Day.

¹¹ But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, he entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation.

²⁴ For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

¹⁰ For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

⁴ and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,

¹³ I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of my body, ¹⁴ since I know that it will soon be laid aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

¹¹ Since everything will be dissolved in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to conduct yourselves in holiness and godliness

² Beloved, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.

¹⁹ —yes, by this we know that we are of the Truth and may put our hearts at ease in His presence,

¹⁹ We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one. ²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
