¹¹ And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-Gilead, and prosper; for the LORD will give it into the king`s hand.

⁵ And the king of Israel assembled the prophets, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall we go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, and God will give it into the king`s hand.

¹² The official who had gone to get Micaiah said to him: All the other prophets have prophesied success for the king. You had better do the same.

³³ One man aimed his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between his scale armor and his breastplate. Ahab told the chariot driver: "Turn around, and get me away from these troops for I am badly wounded." ³⁴ The battle increased that day. However the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the evening; and at about sunset, he died.

²⁴ Whoever says to the guilty, "You are righteous," the people will curse him; the nations will abhor him. ²⁵ but it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and a rich blessing will come on them.

⁵ Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who lead my people astray; for those who feed their teeth, they proclaim, "Peace." and whoever doesn't provide for their mouths, they prepare war against him:

¹ Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies that even deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. ² Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. ³ And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; from long ago their condemnation has not been idle, and their destruction has not been asleep.

¹⁶ These men are grumblers and complainers, living according to their own evil desires; they talk big, flattering people to gain advantage.

¹³ And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; [one was] coming out of the mouth of the dragon, [one] out of the mouth of the beast, and [one] out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

²⁰ But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
