²⁵ I will sende a swerde apon you, that shall avenge my testament with you. And when ye are fled vnto youre cities, I will sende the pestelence amonge you, ye shall be delyuered in to the handes of youre enemyes.

⁹ Whosoeuer curseth his father or mother, shall dye for it, his bloude on his heed, because he hath cursed his father or mother.

¹¹ Yf a man lye with his fathers wife ad vncouer his fathers secrettes, they shall both dye for it, their bloude be apon their heedes. ¹² Yf a man lye with his doughter in lawe thei shall dye both of them: they haue wrought abhominacion, their bloud vpon their heedes. ¹³ Yf a man lye with the mankynde after the maner as with woma kynd, they haue both comitted an abhominacion and shall dye for it. Their bloude be apon their heed. ¹⁴ Yf a man take a wife ad hir mother thereto, it is wekednesse. I am the Lord youre God, whiche haue separated you from other nacions: ²⁵ that ye shulde put difference betwene cleane beestes add vncleane, and betwene vncleane foules and them that are cleane. Make not youre soules therfore abhominable with beestes ad foules, and with all maner thinge that crepeth apon the grounde, which I haue separated vnto you to holde them vncleane. ²⁶ Be holy vnto me, for I the Lorde am holy and haue seuered you from other nacyons: that ye shulde be myne. ²⁷ Yf there be ma or woma that worketh with a sprite or a maker of dysemall dayes, thei shall dye for it. Me shall stone them with stones, ad their bloude shalbe apon them.

⁶ And whe they sayde cotrary and blasphemed he shoke his rayment and sayde vnto the: youre bloud apon youre awne heeddes and fro hence forth I goo blamelesse vnto ye gentyls.

²⁶ Wherfore I take you to recorde this same daye that I am pure fro the bloude of all me.

²² And se that ye be doars of the worde and not hearers only deceavinge youre awne selves with sophistrie

¹⁹ Sende therfore and fet home thy beestes and al that thou hast in the felde, For apon all the men and beestes which are founde in the felde ad not broughte home, shall the hayle fall, ad they shall dye ²⁰ And as many as feared the worde of the Lorde among the servauntes of Pharao made their servauntes ad their beestes flee to house: ²¹ and they that regarded not the worde of the Lorde, left their servauntes and their beestes in the felde.

³⁹ They answered and sayde vnto him: Abraham is oure father. Iesus sayde vnto them. If ye were Abrahams chyldren ye wolde do the dedes of Abraham.

³⁷ When they hearde this they were pricked in their hertes and sayd vnto Peter and vnto the other Apostles: Ye men and brethre what shall we do? ³⁸ Peter sayde vnto them: repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Iesus Christ for the remission of synnes and ye shall receave the gyfte of the holy goost. ³⁹ For ye promyse was made vnto you and to youre chyldre and to all that are afarre even as many as ye Lorde oure God shall call. ⁴⁰ And with many other wordes bare he witnes and exhorted them sayinge: Save youre selves from this vntowarde generacion. ⁴¹ Then they that gladly receaved his preachynge were baptised: and the same daye ther were added vnto them aboute thre thousande soules.

¹ Wherfore we ought to geve ye more hede to ye thinges we have herde lest we perysshe. ² For yf the worde which was spoke by angels was stedfast: so yt every trasgressio and disobediece receaved a iust recopece to rewarde: ³ how shall we escape yf we despyse so great saluacio which at ye fyrst bega to be preached of ye lorde him silfe and afterwarde was cofermed vnto vs warde by the ye hearde it

⁷ By fayth Noe honored God after that he was warned of thinges which were not sene and prepared the arcke to the savinge of his houssholde thorowe the which arcke he condempned the worlde and became heyre of the rightewesnes which commeth by fayth.

⁵ For verely the bloude of yow wherein youre lyves are wyll I requyre: Eue of the hande of all beastes wyll I requyre it And of the hande of man and of the hand off euery mannes brother wyll I requyre the lyfe of man:

²² Ruben answered the saynge: sayde I not vnto you that ye shulde not synne agaynst the lad? but ye wolde not heare And now verely see his bloude is requyred.

²¹ Then sayde Iesus agayne vnto them. I goo my waye and ye shall seke me and shall dye in youre synnes. Whyther I goo thyther can ye not come. ²² Then sayde the Iewes: will he kyll him selfe because he sayth: whyther I goo thyther can ye not come? ²³ And he sayde vnto the: ye are fro beneth I am from above. ¹¹ And the very same made some Apostles some prophetes some Evangelistes some Sheperdes some Teachers:

²⁸ whom we preach warnynge all men and teachinge all men in all wisdome to make all men parfect in Christ Iesu. ²⁹ Wherin I also laboure and stryve even as farforth as hys workynge worketh in me myghtely.

¹ Further more we beseche you brethren and exhorte you in the lorde Iesus that ye increace more and more euen as ye have receaved of vs how ye ought to walke and to please god. ² Ye remember what commaundmetes we gave you in oure lorde Iesu Christ.

¹⁷ Obeye the that have the oversight of you and submit youre selves to them for they watch for youre soules even as they that must geve a comptes: that they maye do it with ioye and not with grefe. For that is an vnproffitable thynge for you.

¹⁷ But of the tre of knowlege of good and badd se that thou eate not: for even ye same daye thou eatest of it thou shalt surely dye.

⁴ Then sayd the serpent vnto the woman: tush ye shall not dye:

³ oure father dyed in the wildernesse and was not amonge the companye of them that gathered them selues together agenst the Lorde in the congregacion of Corah: But dyed in his awne synne and had no sonnes.

⁴⁷ The servaut that knewe his masters will and prepared not him selfe nether dyd accordinge to his will shalbe bete with many strypes.

²⁴ I sayde therfore vnto you that ye shall dye in youre synnes. For except ye beleve that I am he ye shall dye in youre synnes.

¹⁵ For we are vnto God the swete savoure of Christ both amoge them that are saved and also amoge them which perisshe. ¹⁶ To the one parte are we ye savoure of deeth vnto deeth. And vnto the other parte are we the savoure of lyfe vnto lyfe. And who is mete vnto these thinges? ¹⁷ For we are not as many are which choppe and chaunge with the worde of God: but even oute of purenes and by the power of God and in the sight of God so speake we in Christ.

¹⁹ The dedes of the flesshe are manyfest whiche are these advoutrie fornicacio vnclenes wantannes ²⁰ ydolatrye witchecraft hatred variaunce zele wrath stryfe sedicion sectes envyinge murther dronkenes glottony and soche lyke: of the which I tell you before as I have tolde you in tyme past that they which comit soche thinges shall not inherite ye kyngdome of God. ²¹ (OMITTED TEXT)

⁷ 7. Be not deceaved God is not mocked. For what soever a man soweth yt shall he reepe. ⁸ He that soweth in his flesshe shall of ye flesshe reepe corrupcio. But he yt soweth in ye sprete shall of the sprete reepe lyfe everlastinge.

³ So that fornicacion and all vnclennes or coveteousnes be not once named amonge you as it be commeth saynctes: ⁴ nether filthynes nether folishe talkyng nether gestinge which are not comly: but rather gevynge of thankes ⁵ For this ye knowe yt no whormonger other vnclene person or coveteous person which is the worshipper of ymages hath eny inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christ and of God. ⁶ Let no ma deceave you with vayne wordes. For thorow soche thinges cometh the wrath of God vpon the chyldre of vnbelefe.

¹⁸ For many walke (of whom I have tolde you often and now tell you wepynge) that they are ye enemyes of ye crosse of Christ ¹⁹ whose ende is dampnacio whose God is their bely and whose glory is to their shame which are worldely mynded.

³ For this is the will of god even that ye shuld be holy and that ye shuld abstayne from fornicacion ⁴ that every one of you shuld knowe how to kepe his vessell in holynes and honoure ⁵ and not in the lust of concupiscence as do the hethen which knowe not god ⁶ that no man goo to farre and defraude his brother in bargayninge: because the lorde is a venger of all suche thinges as we tolde you before tyme and testified. ⁷ For god hath not called vs vnto vnclennes: but vnto holynes. ⁸ He therfore that despiseth despiseth not man but God which hath sent his holy sprete amonge you.

¹⁴ We desyre you brethre warne them that are vnruly comforte the feble mynded forbeare the weake have continuall pacience towarde all men.

²⁵ Se that ye despise not him yt speaketh. For yf they escaped not which refused him that spake on erth: moche more shall we not escape yf we turne awaye fro him yt speaketh fro heve:

³⁹ And thei that are left of you, shall pyne awaye in their vnrightuousnes, euen in their enemies londe, and also in the mysdeades of their fathers shall they consume.

²¹ But as trulye as I lyue all the erth shalbe fylled with my glorye.

²⁸ I haue herde ye murmurynges of ye childern of Ysrael whyche they murmure agenste me. Tell them yt the Lorde sayeth. As truely as I lyue I wil do vnto you euen as ye haue spoken in myne eares.

²⁰ And he arose and went to his father. And when he was yet a greate waye of his father sawe him and had compassion and ran and fell on his necke and kyssed him. ²¹ And the sonne sayd vnto him: father I have synned agaynst heven and in thy sight and am no moare worthy to be called thy sonne. ²² But his father sayde to his servautes: bringe forth that best garment and put it on him and put a rynge on his honde and showes on his fete. ²³ And bringe hidder that fatted caulfe and kyll him and let vs eate and be mery: ²⁴ for this my sonne was deed and is alyve agayne he was loste and is now founde. And they began to be merye. ²⁵ The elder brother was in the felde and when he cam and drewe nye to ye housse he herde minstrelcy and daunsynge ²⁶ and called one of his servauntes and axed what thoose thinges meate. ²⁷ And he sayd vnto him: thy brother is come and thy father had kylled ye fatted caulfe because he hath receaved him safe and sounde. ²⁸ And he was angry and wolde not goo in. Then came his father out and entreated him. ²⁹ He answered and sayde to his father: Loo these many yeares have I done the service nether brake at eny tyme thy commaundment and yet gavest thou me never soo moche as a kyd to make mery wt my lovers: ³⁰ but assone as this thy sonne was come which hath devoured thy goodes with harlootes thou haste for his pleasure kylled ye fatted caulfe. ³¹ And he sayd vnto him: Sonne thou wast ever with me and all that I have is thyne: ³² it was mete that we shuld make mery and be glad: for this thy brother was deed and is a lyve agayne: and was loste and is founde.

¹⁹ Repent ye therfore and turne yt youre synnes maye be done awaye when the tyme of refresshinge commeth which we shall have of the presence of the Lorde

²⁰ but shewed fyrst vnto them of Damasco and at Ierusalem and thorow out all the costes of Iewry and to the gentyls that they shuld repent and turne to God and do the ryght workes of repentaunce.

¹¹ For it is written: as truely as I lyve sayth ye lorde all knees shall bowe to me and all tonges shall geve a knowledge to God.

⁴ which will have all men saved and to come vnto the knowledge of ye trueth.

⁹ The lorde is not slacke to fulfill his promes as some men cout slacknes: but is pacient to vs warde and wolde have no man lost but wolde receave all men to repentauce.

²⁸ What saye ye to this? A certayne man had two sonnes and came to ye elder and sayde: sonne go and worke to daye in my vineyarde. ²⁹ He answered and sayde I will not: but afterwarde repented and went. ³⁰ Then came he to the second and sayde lyke wyse. And he answered and sayde: I will syr: yet wet not. ³¹ Whether of the twayne dyd the will of the father? And they sayde vnto hym: the fyrst. Iesus sayde vnto the: verely I saye vnto you that the publicans and the harlotes shall come into ye kyngdome of God before you.

¹ My lytell children these thynges write I vnto you that ye synne not: yf eny man synne yet we have an advocate with ye father Iesus Christ which is righteous:

⁹ And he put forthe this similitude vnto certayne which trusted in the selves yt they were perfecte and despysed other. ¹⁰ Two men went vp into ye teple to praye: ye one a pharise and the other a publican. ¹¹ The pharise stode and prayed thus wt him selfe. God I thanke the yt I am not as other men are extorsioners vniuste advoutrers or as this publican. ¹² I fast twyse in ye weke. I geve tythe of all that I possesse. ¹³ And the publican stode afarre of and wolde not lyfte vp his eyes to heven but smote his brest sayinge: God be mercyfull to me a synner. ¹⁴ I tell you: this ma departed hoe to his housse iustified moore then the other. For every man that exalteth him selfe shalbe brought low: And he yt hubleth him selfe shalbe exalted

³ For they are ignoraut of the rightewesnes which is alowed before God and goo about to stablisshe their awne rightewesnes and therfore are not obedient vnto the rightewesnes which is of valew before God.

⁹ and myght be founde in him not havynge myne awne rightewesnes which is of the lawe: But that which spryngeth of the fayth which is in Christ. I meane the rightewesnes which cometh of God thorowe fayth

³⁸ But the iust shall live by faith. And yf he withdrawe him silfe my soule shall have no pleasure in him.

²⁰ For yf they after they have escaped from the filthynes of the worlde thorowe ye knowledge of ye Lorde and of ye saviour Iesus Christ they are yet tagled agayne therin and overcome: then is ye latter ende worsse with them then the beginninge. ²¹ For it had bene better for the not to have knowne ye waye of righteousnes then after they have knowe it to turne fro the holy comaundmet geve vnto them. ²² It is happened vnto them accordinge to the true proverbe: The dogge is turned to his vomet agayne and the sow that was wesshed to her wallowynge in the myre.

¹⁹ They went oute from vs but they were not of vs. For yf they had bene of vs they wolde no dout have continued with vs. But that fortuned that yt myght appere that they were not of vs.

¹³ Then came ye disciples of Ihon to hym sayinge: why do we and the Pharises fast ofte: but thy disciples fast not?

³ I tell you naye: but except ye repent ye shall all in lyke wyse perysshe. ⁴ Or those .xviii. apon which ye toure in Syloe fell and slewe the thinke ye that they were synners above all men yt dwell in Ierusalem? ⁵ I tell you naye: But excepte ye repent ye all shall lykewyse perisshe.

¹ Yf a man steake an oxe or shepe ad kylle it or selle it, he shall restore .v. oxen for an oxe, and .iiij. shepe for a shepe. ² Yf a thefe be founde breakynge vpp ad be smytten that he dye, there shall no bloude be shed for him: ³ excepte the sonne be vpp when he is founde, then there shalbe bloude shed for him,A thefe shall make restitucyon: Yf he haue not wherewith, he shalbe solde for his thefte. ⁴ Yf the thefte be founde in his hande alyue (whether it be oxe, asse or shepe) he shall restore double.

²⁶ Yf thou take thi neghbours raymet to pledge, se that thou delyuer it vnto him agayne by that the sonne goo doune. ²⁷ For that is his couerlet only: eue the rayment for his skynne wherin he slepeth: or els he will crye vnto me ad I will heare him, for I am mercyfull.

² when a soule synneth ad trespaceth agaynst the Lorde and denyed vnto his neyghboure that which was taken him to kepe, or that was put vnder his hande, or that which he hath violently taken awaye, or that whiche he hath deceaued his neyghboure off wyth sotylte, ³ or hath founde that whiche was loste and denyeth it, and swereth falsely, in what soeuer thinge it be that a man doth and synneth therein, ⁴ Then when he hath synned or trespaced, he shall restore agayne that he toke violently awaye, or the wronge whiche he dyd, or that whiche was delyuered him to kepe, or the lost thinge which he founde, ⁵ or what soeuer it be aboute which he hath sworne falsely, he shall restore it agayne in the whole sume and shal adde the fifte parte moare thereto and geue it vnto him to whome it pertayneth, the same daye that he offereth for his trespace,

⁵ Kepe therfore myne ordinaunces, ad my iudgemetes whiche yf a man doo he shall lyue thereby: for I am the Lorde.

⁶ speake vnto the childern of Israel: whether it be man or woman whe they haue synned any maner of synne which a man doeth wherewith a man trespaseth agenst the Lorde so that the soule hath done amysse: ⁷ then they shall knowlege their synnes which they haue done and restore agayne the hurte that they haue done in the hole and put the fyfte parte of it moare thereto and geue it vnto him whom he hath trespased agenste. ⁸ But and yf he that maketh the amendes have no man to doo itto then the amendes that is made shalbe the Lordes and the preastes besyde the ram of the attonementofferynge where with he maketh an attonemet for hymselfe

⁶ No ma shall take the nether or the vpper milstone to pledge, for then he taketh a mans lyfe to pledge.

¹⁰ Yf thou lende thy brother any maner soker, thou shalt not goo in to his housse to fetche a pledge: ¹¹ but shalt stonde without and the man to whom thou lendest, shall brynge the the pledge out at the dore. ¹² Forthermore yf it be a pore body, goo not to slepe with his pledge: ¹³ but delyuer hym the pledge agayne by that the sonne goo doune, and let him slepe in his owne rayment and blesse the. And it shalbe rightuousnes vnto the, before the Lorde thy God.

¹⁷ Hynder not the right of the straunger nor of the fatherlesse, nor take wedowes rayment to pledge.

⁶ Booth were perfect before God and walked in all the lawes and ordinaces of the Lorde that no man coulde fynde fawte with them.

⁸ And zache stode forth and sayd vnto ye Lorde: beholde Lorde ye haulfe of my gooddes I geve to the povre and if I have done eny ma wroge I will restore him fower folde.

¹² And beholde I come shortly and my rewarde with me to geve every man accordinge as his dedes shalbe. ¹³ I am Alpha and Omega the begynninge and the ende: the fyrst and the last. ¹⁴ Blessed are they that do hys commaundmentes that their power maye be in the tree of lyfe and maye entre in thorow the gates into the cite.

¹⁶ And ye gifte is not over one synne as deeth cam thorow one synne of one yt synned. For damnacion cam of one synne vnto condemnacion: but the gyft cam to iustify fro many synnes.

²¹ That as synne had raigned vnto deeth even so might grace raygne thorow rightewesnes vnto eternall lyfe by the helpe of Iesu Christ.

¹ My lytell children these thynges write I vnto you that ye synne not: yf eny man synne yet we have an advocate with ye father Iesus Christ which is righteous: ² and he it is that obteyneth grace for oure synnes: not for oure synnes only: but also for the synnes of all the worlde. ³ And herby we are sure that we knowe him yf we kepe his comaundementes.

²⁴ Then he which had receaved ye one talent came and sayd: master I considered yt thou wast an harde man which repest where thou sowedst not and gadderest where thou strawedst not ²⁵ and was therfore afrayde and went and hyd thy talent in ye erth: Beholde thou hast thyn awne. ²⁶ His master answered and sayde vnto him: thou evyll servaut and slewthfull thou knewest yt I repe where I sowed not and gaddre where I strawed not:

²¹ for I feared the because thou arte a strayte man: thou takest vp that thou laydest not doune and repest that thou dyddest not sowe. ²² And he sayde vnto him: Of thine awne mouth iudge I the thou evyll servaunt. knewest thou that I am a strayte man takinge vp that I layde not doune and repinge that I dyd not sowe?

²⁷ For the sonne of man shall come in the glory of his father wt his angels: and then shall he rewarde every man accordinge to his dedes.

²⁹ and shall come forthe: they that have done good vnto the resurreccion of lyfe: and they that have done evyll vnto the resurreccion of dampnacion.

¹⁰ For we must all appere before the iudgement seate of Christ that every man maye receave the workes of his body accordynge to that he hath done whether it be good or bad?

¹² And I sawe the deed both grett and small stonde before God: And the bokes were opened and another boke was opened which is the boke of lyfe and the deed were iudged of thoo thynges which weer wrytten in the bokes accordinge to their dedes: ¹³ and the see gave vp her deed which were in her and deth and hell delyvered vp the deed which were in them: and they were iudged every man accordinge to his dedes. ¹⁴ And deth and hell were cast into the lake of fyre. This is that second deeth. ¹⁵ And whosoever was not founde written in the boke of lyfe was cast into the lake of fyre.

¹² And beholde I come shortly and my rewarde with me to geve every man accordinge as his dedes shalbe.

⁶⁴ And his mouthe was opened immediatly and his tonge also and he spake lawdynge God.

⁹ And se that ye ons thynke not to saye in your selues we haue Abraham to oure father. For I saye vnto you that God is able of these stones to rayse vp chyldern vnto Abraha.

⁸ Bringe forth due frutes of repentaunce and begynne not to saye in youre selves we have Abraham to oure father. For I saye vnto you: God is able of these stones to reyse vp chyldren vnto Abraham.

³³ They answered him: We be Abrahams seede and were never bonde to eny man: why sayest thou then ye shalbe made fre.

⁵ and he gave him none inheritaunce in it no not the bredeth of a fote: but promised yt he wolde geve it to him to possesse and to his seed after him when as yet he had no chylde.

¹² and that he myght be the father of the circumcised not because they are circumcised only: but because they walke also in the steppes of that fayth yt was in oure father Abraham before the tyme of circumcision.

⁷ nether are they all chyldren strayght waye because they are the seed of Abraham. But in Isaac shall thy seede be called:

³ When they shall saye peace and no daunger than commeth on the soden destruccion as the travalynge of a woma with childe and they shall not scape.

⁴ Only the flesh with his life which is his bloud se that ye eate not.

¹⁷ And thus shal all the fatt be the Lordes and it shalbe a lawe forever amonge youre generacions after you in youre dwellynge places: that ye eate nether fatt nor bloude.

²⁶ Moreouer ye shall eate no maner of bloud, wheresoeuer ye dwell, whether it be of foule or of beest. ²⁷ What soeuer soule it be that eateth any maner of bloude the same soule shal perisshe fro his people.

¹⁰ And what soeuer man it be of the housse of Israel or of the straungers that soiourne amonge you that eateth any maner of bloude I will set my face agaynst that soule that eateth bloude, and will destroy him from amonge his people. ¹¹ for the life of the flesh is in the bloude, and I haue geuen it vnto you apon the alter, to make an attonement for youre soules, ¹² for bloude shall make an attonemet for the soule. And therfore I sayde vnto the childern of Israel: se that no soule of you eate bloude nor yet any straunger that soiourneth amonge you. ¹³ What soeuer man it be of the childern of Israel or of the straungers that soiurne amonge you that honteth and catcheth any beest or foule that maye be eate, he shall poure out the bloude ad couer it with erthe. ¹⁴ for the life of all flesh is in the bloude, therfore I sayde vnto the childern of Israel, ye shall eate the bloude of no maner of flesh. for the life of all flesh is in his bloude, and whosoeuer therfore eateth it shall perysh.

²⁶ Ye shall eate nothinge with the bloude, ye shall vse no witchcrafte, nor obserue dismall dayes,

¹⁹ Ye and leste thou lyfte vpp thyne eyes vnto heuen, and when thou seyst the sonne and the mone and the starres and what soeuer is contayned in heauen, shuldest be disceaued and shuldest bow thi selfe vnto them ad serue the thinges which the Lorde thy God hath distributed vnto all nacions that are vnder al quarters of heauen.

¹⁶ only eate not the bloude, but poure it apon the erth as water.

²⁰ but yt we write vnto them yt they abstayne them selves fro filthynes of ymages fro fornicacio from straglyd and fro bloude. ²¹ For Moses of olde tyme hath in every cite that preache him and he is rede in the synagoges every saboth daye.

²⁹ that is to saye that ye abstayne from thinges offered to ymages from bloud from strangled and fornicacion. From which yf ye kepe youre selves ye shall do well. So fare ye well.

²⁵ For as touchinge the gentyls which beleve we have written and concluded yt they observe no soche thinges: but that they kepe them selves from thinges offred to ydoles from bloud fro strangled and fro fornicacion.

⁴⁰ And wyth thy swerde shalt thou lyue and shalt be thy brothers seruaunte But the tyme will come when thou shalt gett the mastrye and lowse his yocke from of thy necke.

²⁵ and the lande is defiled, and I will visett the wykednesse thereof apon it. and the lande shal spewe out hir inhabiters. ²⁶ Kepe ye therfore myne ordinaunces and iudgementes, and se that ye commytt none of these abominacions: nether any of you nor ony straunger that soiourneth amonge you ²⁷ (for all these abhominacions haue the men of the lande done whiche were there before you, and the lande is defiled) ²⁸ lest that the lande spewe you out when ye haue defiled it, as it spewed out the nacions that where there before you. ²⁹ For whosoeuer shall comytt any of these abhominacions, the same soules that commytt them shall perish from amonge their people. ³⁰ Therfore se that ye kepe myne ordinaunces, that ye commytt none of these abhominable customes which were commytted before you: that ye defile not youre selues therewith for I am the Lorde youre God.

¹³ Yf a man lye with the mankynde after the maner as with woma kynd, they haue both comitted an abhominacion and shall dye for it. Their bloude be apon their heed.

²² Se that ye kepe therfore all myne ordinaunces and all my iudgementes, and that ye doo them: that the londe whether I brynge you to dwell therein, spewe you not oute.

²⁵ Yf after thou hast gotten childern and childerns childern and hast dwelt longe in the londe, ye shall marre youre selues and make grauen ymages after the liknesse of what so euer it be, and shall worke wekednesse in the syghte of the Lorde thy God, to prouoke him. ²⁶ I call heauen and erth to recorde vnto you this daye, that ye shall shortely peressh from of the londe whether ye goo ouer Iordayne to possesse it: Ye shall not prolonge youre dayes therin, but shall shortly be destroyed.

¹⁸ Lest there be amonge you man or woman kynred or trybe that turneth awaye in his hert this daye from the Lord oure God, to goo ad serue the goddes of these nacions: and lest there be amonge you some roote that bereth gall and wormwod, ¹⁹ so that when he heareth the wordes of this curse, he blesse him selfe in his hert sayenge: I feare it not, I will ther fore walke after the lust of myne awne hert, that the drounken destroye the thurstie. ²⁰ And so the Lorde will not be mercyfull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lorde ad his gelousye, smoke agenst that man, ad al the curses that are written in this boke light vppo him, and the Lorde doo out his name fro vnder heauen, ²¹ and separate him vnto euell out of all the trybes of Israel acordynge vnto all the curses of the appoyntement that is written in the boke of this lawe. ²² So that the generacion to come of youre childern that shal ryse vpp after you ad the straunger that shall come from a ferre londe, saye when they se the plages of that londe, and the diseases where with the Lorde hath smytten it ²³ how all the londe is burnt vpp with bremstone and salt, that it is nether sowne nor beareth nor any grasse groweth, after the ouertrowenge of Sodome, Gomor, Adama ad Zeboim: which the Lorde ouerthrewe in his wrath and angre.

³ For it is sufficient for vs that we have spent the tyme that is past of the lyfe after the will of the gentyls walkinge in wantannes lustes dronkennes in eatinge drinkinge and in abominable ydolatrie.

⁸ But the fearefull and vnbelevynge and the abhominable and murdrers and whormongers and sorcerers and ydolaters and all lyars shall have their parte in the lake which burnyth with fyre and brymstone which is the seconde deth.

¹⁸ And the Egiptians shall knowe that I am the Lord whan I haue gotten me honoure vpo Pharao vpon his charettes and vpon his horsemen.

⁸ This people draweth nye vnto me with their mouthes and honoureth me with their lippes howbe it their hertes are farre from me:

¹⁶ And they sent vnto him their disciples with Herodes servauntes sayinge: Master we knowe yt thou are true and teachest the waye of god trulie nether carest for eny man for thou consydrest not menes estate. ¹⁷ Tell vs therfore: how thynkest thou? Is it lawfull to geve tribute vnto Cesar or not?

²⁸ And the Lorde herde the voyce of youre wordes when ye spake vnto me, and he sayed vnto me: I haue herde the voyce of the wordes of this people which they haue spoke vnto the they haue well sayed all that they haue sayed. ²⁹ Oh that they had soche an herte with them to feare me ad kepe all my commaundmentes alwaye, that it myghte goo well with them and with their childern for euer.

²⁴ Therfore I saye vnto you be not carefull for your lyfe what ye shall eate or what ye shall drincke nor yet for youre body what ye shall put on. ys not ye lyfe more worth then meate and the body more of value then raymeut?

²⁴ and aboundance of rayne descended and the fluddes came and the wyndes blewe and bet vpon that same housse and it fell not because it was grounded on the rocke. ²⁵ And whosoever heareth of me these sayinges and doth the not shalbe lykened vnto a folysh man which bilt hys housse apo the sondes: ²⁶ and abundauce of rayne descended and the fluddes came and ye wyndes blewe and beet vpon that housse and it fell and great was the fall of it. ²⁷ And it came to passe that when Iesus had ended these saynges the people were astonnyed at hys doctryne.

²² He yt was sowne amoge thornes is he yt heareth ye worde of God: but the care of this worlde and the dissaytfulnes of ryches choke ye worde and so is he made vnfrutfull.

²² When ye younge ma hearde yt sayinge he wet awaye mourninge. For he had greate possessions.

⁴⁸ He is like a man which bilt an housse: and digged depe and layde the foundacio on a rocke. Whe the waters arose the fludde bet apo that housse and coulde not move yt. For it was grounded apon a rocke. ⁴⁹ But he that heareth and doth not is lyke a man that with out foundacion bylt an housse apon the erth agaynst which the fludde did bet: and it fell by and by. And ye fall of yt housse was greate.

²¹ He answered and sayd vnto them: my mother and my brethren are these which heare the worde of God and do it.

³⁹ And this woman had a sister called Mary which sate at Iesus fete and hearde his preachinge.

²⁸ But he sayde: Ye happy are they that heare the worde of God and kepe it.

¹⁵ Wherfore he sayde vnto them: take hede and beware of covetousnes. For no mannes lyfe stondeth in the aboundaunce of the thinges which he possesseth. ¹⁶ And he put forth a similitude vnto them sayinge: The groude of a certayne riche ma brought forth frutes plenteously ¹⁷ and he thought in himsilfe sayinge: what shall I do? because I have noo roume where to bestowe my frutes? ¹⁸ And he sayde: This will I do. I will destroye my barnes and bilde greater and therin will I gadder all my frutes and my goodes: ¹⁹ and I will saye to my soule: Soule thou hast moch goodes layde vp in stoore for many yeares take thyne ease: eate drinke and be mery. ²⁰ But God sayde vnto him: Thou fole this night will they fetche awaye thy soule agayne from the. Then whose shall thoose thinges be which thou hast provyded? ²¹ So is it with him that gadereth ryches and is not ryche in God.

¹⁴ All these thinges herde the pharises also which were coveteous and they mocked him.

³³ Then sent I for ye immediatly and thou hast well done for to come. Now are we all here present before god to heare all thynges yt are commaunded vnto the of God.

⁵ For this ye knowe yt no whormonger other vnclene person or coveteous person which is the worshipper of ymages hath eny inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christ and of God.

⁹ They that wilbe ryche faule into temptacio and snares and into many folysshe and noysome lustes which droune me in perdicion and destruccion. ¹⁰ For coveteousnes is the rote of all evyll which whill some lusted after they erred fro the fayth and tanglyd them selves with many sorowes.

²² And se that ye be doars of the worde and not hearers only deceavinge youre awne selves with sophistrie ²³ For yf eny heare the worde and do it not he is lyke vnto a man that beholdeth his bodyly face in a glasse. ²⁴ For assone as he hath loked on him silfe he goeth his waye and forgetteth immediatlie what his fassion was.

¹⁴ What a vayleth it my brethren though a man saye he hath sayth when he hath no dedes? Can fayth save him? ¹⁵ If a brother or a sister be naked or destitute of dayly fode ¹⁶ and one of you saye vnto them: Departe in peace God sende you warmnes and fode: not withstondinge ye geve the not tho thynges which are nedfull to the body: what helpeth it the?

¹⁷ Whosoever hath this worldes good and seith his brother have neade: and shutteth vp his copassion from him: how dwelleth the love of God in him? ¹⁸ My babes let vs not love in worde nether in tonge: but with dede and in veritie:

¹⁶ And likewise they that are sowen on the stonye groude are they: which when they have harde the worde at once receave it wt gladnes ¹⁷ yet have no rotes in them selves and so endure but a tyme: and anone as trouble and persecucion aryseth for ye wordes sake they fall immediatly.

²⁰ For Herode feared Iohn knowynge yt he was a iuste man and an holy: and gave him reverence: and when he hearde him he dyd many thinges and hearde him gladly.

³⁵ He was a burninge and a shyninge light and ye wolde for a season have reioysed in his light.

¹¹ even the very dust which cleaveth on vs of your citie we wipe of agaynst you: Not withstondinge marke this that ye kyngdome of God was come nie vpon you.
