¹⁰ If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

¹ And David said in his heart, "I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: There is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me anymore within any border of Israel: So shall I escape out of his hand."

⁵ But now it is come on you, and you faint; it touches you, and you are troubled.

²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint, nor is weary? ⁴⁶ And lest your heart faint, and you fear for the rumor that shall be heard in the land; a rumor shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumor, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

³ For consider Him that endured such contradiction from sinners against Himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds. ⁴ You have not yet resisted to the point of blood, striving against sin. ⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to children, "My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him:

³ And have supported, and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake, and have not fainted.
