Proverbs 19:19 Cross References - TKJU

19 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: For if you deliver him, you must do it yet again.

1 Samuel 20:30-31

30 Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said to him, "You son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own confusion, and to the confusion of your mother's nakedness? 31 For as long as the son of Jesse lives upon the earth, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. For this reason send now and fetch him to me, for he shall surely die."

1 Samuel 22:7-23

7 Then Saul said to his servants that stood around him, "Hear now, you Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; 8 that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that shows me that my son has made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this time?" 9 Then Doeg the Edomite answered, who was set over the servants of Saul, and said, "I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub. 10 And he inquired of the LORD for him, and gave him food, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine." 11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: And they all came to the king. 12 And Saul said, "Hear now, you son of Ahitub." And he answered, "Here I am, my lord." 13 And Saul said to him, "Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this moment?" 14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, "And who is so faithful among all your servants as David, which is the king's son-in-law, and goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house? 15 Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? Be it far from me: Let not the king impute anything to his servant, nor to all the house of my father: For your servant knew nothing of all this, less or more." 16 And the king said, "You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you, and all your father's house." 17 And the king said to the footmen that stood around him, "Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD: Because their hand is also with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not disclose it to me." But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD. 18 And the king said to Doeg, "Turn yourself, and fall upon the priests." And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day eighty-five persons that wore a linen ephod. 19 And he smote Nob, the city of the priests, with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and donkeys, and sheep, with the edge of the sword. 20 And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David. 21 And Abiathar informed David that Saul had slain the LORD's priests. 22 And David said to Abiathar, "I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have brought about the death of all the persons of your father's house. 23 Abide with me, do not fear: For he that seeks my life seeks your life: But with me you shall be in safe guard."

1 Samuel 24:17-22

17 And he said to David, "You are more righteous than I: For you have rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded you evil. 18 And you have showed this day how you have dealt well with me: Because when the LORD had delivered me into your hand, you did not kill me. 19 For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him readily go away? For this reason the LORD reward you good for that which you have done to me this day. 20 And now, behold, I know well that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand. 21 Therefore, swear now to me by the LORD, that you will not cut off my seed after me, and that you will not destroy my name out of my father's house." 22 And David swore to Saul. And Saul went home; but David and his men got themselves up to the secure place.

1 Samuel 26:21-25

21 Then Saul said, "I have sinned: Return, my son David: For I will do you harm no more, because my soul was precious in your eyes this day: Behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly." 22 And David answered and said, "Behold the king's spear! And let one of the young men come over and fetch it. 23 The LORD render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the LORD delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch forth my hand against the LORD's anointed. 24 And behold, as your life was greatly valued in my eyes this day, so let my life be greatly valued in the eyes of the LORD, and let Him deliver me out of all tribulation." 25 Then Saul said to David, "Blessed be you, my son David: You shall both do great things, and shall also still prevail." So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.

2 Samuel 16:5-6

5 And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, there came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: He came forth, and cursed still as he came. 6 And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and you shall not go with a furious man: 25 Lest you learn his ways, and get a snare to your soul.

Proverbs 25:28

28 He that has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
