³ And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.

¹ Now the LORD had said to Abram, "Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you: ² And I will make a great nation of you, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: ³ And I will bless those that bless you, and curse him that curses you: And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed." ⁴ So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him: And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed out of Haran.

⁵ And he brought him forth abroad, and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars, if you are able to number them": And He said to him, "So shall your seed be."

² For Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. ³ And Abraham called the name of his son that was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.

⁷ You are the LORD the God, who did choose Abram, and brought him forth out of Ur of the Chaldeans, and gave him the name of Abraham; ⁸ and found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, "to his seed, and have performed your words; for you are righteous:

³ Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: And the fruit of the womb is his reward.

² And he said, "Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; the God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, ³ and said to him, 'Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and come into the land which I shall show you.'
