⁹ And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.

¹⁹ And they burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels of it.

⁶ But now they break down the carved work of it at once with axes and hammers. ⁷ They have cast fire into Your sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of Your name to the ground. ⁸ They said in their hearts, "Let us destroy them together": They have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.

¹ O God, the heathen have come into your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps.

¹⁰ Your holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. ¹¹ Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised You, is burned up with fire: And all our pleasant things are laid waste.

¹⁴ therefore I will do to this house, which is called by My name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

¹⁴ who said, 'I will build myself a wide house and large chambers, and cuts himself out windows; and it is paneled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.'

²² 'Behold, I will command', said the LORD, 'and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: And I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.' "

⁸ And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.' ⁹ Thus says the LORD; 'Do not deceive yourselves, saying, "The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: For they shall not depart. ¹⁰ For though you had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans who fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet they should rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.

²³ So they shall bring out all your wives and your children to the Chaldeans: And you shall not escape out of their hand, but shall be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: And you shall cause this city to be burned with fire.' "

⁸ And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Jerusalem. ⁹ Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people who remained in the city, and those who fell away, who fell to him, with the rest of the people who remained.

⁷ The LORD has cast off His altar, He has abhorred His sanctuary, He has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.

²⁰ As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: But they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things in that place: Therefore have I set it far from them. ²¹ And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for plunder, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it. ²² I will also turn My face from them, and they shall pollute My secret place: For the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

¹ Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ² "Son of man, write the name of the day, even of this same day: The king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day. ³ And utter a parable to the rebellious house, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it: ⁴ Gather its pieces into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones. ⁵ Take the choice of the flock, and also burn the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them boil its bones in it." ⁶ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; "Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is in it, and whose scum has not gone out of it! Bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it. ⁷ For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it on the top of a rock; she did not pour it upon the ground, to cover it with dust; ⁸ that it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood on the top of a rock, that it should not be covered." ⁹ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; "Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great. ¹⁰ Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned. ¹¹ Then set it empty on its coals, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed. ¹² She has wearied herself with lies, and her great scum has not gone forth out of her: Her scum shall be in the fire. ¹³ In your filthiness is lewdness: Because I have purged you, and you were not purged, you shall not be purged from your filthiness any more, until I have caused My fury to rest on you. ¹⁴ I the LORD have spoken it: It shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to your ways, and according to your doings, they shall judge you", said the Lord GOD.

²¹ 'Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I will profane My sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left shall fall by the sword.

⁵ But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

¹⁰ For they do not know to do right', says the LORD, 'who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.' "robbery; or, spoil ¹¹ Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD; "There shall be an adversary even all around the land; and he shall bring you down from your strength, and your palaces shall be spoiled."

¹¹ For, behold, the LORD commands, and He will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with cracks.

¹² Therefore for your sake Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

¹ Open your doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars.

² And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

¹³ and set up false witnesses, which said, "This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law: ¹⁴ For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered to us."
