¹² And the LORD said to Moses, "Come up into the mount to Me, and be there: And I will give you tablets of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that you may teach them."

² And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: But they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him."

¹⁵ And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.

¹⁸ And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and got himself up into the mount: And Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

¹⁸ And He gave to Moses, when He had made an end of communing with him upon Mount Sinai, two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

¹⁵ And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tablets of the testimony were in his hand: The tablets were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other they were written. ¹⁶ And the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraven upon the tablets.

¹⁴ And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it.

²² These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly in the mount out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: And he added no more. And he wrote them in two tablets of stone, and delivered them to me.

¹⁰ For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

¹³ You came down also upon Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

³³ "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days", said the LORD, "I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people.

¹⁹ Whoever therefore breaks one of these least commandments, and teaches men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: But whoever does and teaches them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

³ For as much as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in fleshy tablets of the heart.

⁷ But if the ministration of death, written and engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away with:

⁴ which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid on every side with gold, within which was the golden pot that had manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;
