You shall not boil a kid goat in his mother's milk." ²⁰ Behold, I send an Angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. ²¹ Beware of him, and obey his voice, do not provoke him; for he will not pardon your transgressions: For My name is in him. ²² But if you shall indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries. ²³ For My Angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: And I will cut them off. ²⁴ You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works: But you shall utterly overthrow them, and entirely break down their images. ²⁵ And you shall serve the LORD your God, and He shall bless your bread, and your water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you. ²⁶ Nothing there shall cast down their young, nor be barren, in your land: I will fulfill the number of your days. ²⁷ I will send My fear before you, and will destroy all the people to whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. ²⁸ And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you. ²⁹ I will not drive them out from before you in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the wild beast of the field multiply against you. ³⁰ Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you are increased, and inherit the land. ³¹ And I will set your bounds from the Red sea even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river: For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and you shall drive them out before you. ³² You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. ³³ They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me: For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.

¹⁶ You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

⁷ Keep yourself far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous won't slay you: For I will not justify the wicked.

¹¹ You shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

¹⁶ You shall not go up and down as a talebearer among your people: Neither shall you stand against the blood of your neighbor; I am the LORD.

²⁰ Neither shall you bear false witness against your neighbor.

¹⁶ If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong; ¹⁷ then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days; ¹⁸ and the judges shall make diligent inquisition: And behold, if the witness be a false witness, and has testified falsely against his brother; ¹⁹ then you shall do to him, as he had thought to have done to his brother: So shall you put the evil away from among you. ²⁰ And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall from now on commit no more any such evil among you. ²¹ And your eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

³ And the king said, "And where is your master's son? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he stays at Jerusalem: For he said, "Today shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

²⁷ And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: Do therefore what is good in your eyes.

¹⁰ And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, "You did blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die. ¹¹ And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. ¹² They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people. ¹³ And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: And the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

³ He that does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his neighbor.

¹² Do not deliver me over to the will of my enemies: For false witnesses have risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

¹¹ False witnesses rose up; they laid to my charge things that I did not know about.

⁵ Whoever privately slanders his neighbor, him I will cut off: He who has a high look and a proud heart I will not suffer.

³ What shall be given to you? Or what shall be done to you, you false tongue?

¹⁹ a false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren.

¹⁸ He that hides hatred with lying lips, and he that utters a slander, is a fool.

¹⁷ He that speaks truth shows forth righteousness: But a false witness deceit.

⁴ A wicked doer gives heed to false lips; and a liar gives ear to a naughty tongue.

⁵ A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall not escape.

⁹ A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall perish.

²⁸ An ungodly witness scorns judgment: And the mouth of the wicked devours iniquity.

²⁸ A false witness shall perish: But the man that hears speaks constantly.

²⁸ Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause; and do not deceive with your lips.

¹⁸ A man that bears false witness against his neighbor is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.

²³ The north wind drives away rain: So does an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

¹⁰ For I heard the defaming of many, "Fear on every side." "Report", they said, "and we will report it." All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, "Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him."

¹⁸ He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, " 'You shall not murder', 'You shall not commit adultery', 'You shall not steal', 'You shall not bear false witness',

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, elders, and all the council sought false witness against Jesus, to put Him to death; ⁶⁰ but found none: Yes, though many false witnesses came, yet they found none. Finally two false witnesses came, ⁶¹ and said, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.' "

¹⁴ And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you." ¹⁵ So they took the money, and did as they were instructed: And this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

¹⁴ Likewise the soldiers demanded of him, saying, "And what shall we do?" And he said to them, "Do violence to no man, nor accuse anyone falsely; and be content with your wages."

⁸ Now Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord; "Behold, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore him fourfold."

¹¹ Then they suborned men, which said, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God." ¹² And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, ¹³ and set up false witnesses, which said, "This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

⁸ And not rather just say, (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) "Let us do evil, that good may come"? (whose damnation is just.)

²⁵ Therefore, putting away lying, "every man speak truth with his neighbor": For we are members of one another.

³ without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those who are good,

¹⁶ Having a good conscience; that when they speak evil of you, as of evil-doers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come: For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

¹² And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

¹ And the LORD said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your house; for I have seen you are righteous before me in this generation.

⁴ But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed around the house, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

⁷ and said, "I implore you, brethren, do not conduct yourselves so wickedly. ⁸ Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known a man; let me, I implore you, bring them out to you, and you do to them as is good in your eyes: Only do nothing to these men; for such shelter they came under the shadow of my roof." ⁹ And they said, "Stand back." And they said again, "This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will necessarily be a judge: Now we will deal worse with you, than with them." And they pressed intensely upon the man, even Lot, and came near to breaking the door.

¹ And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him, "Rise up, make us gods, which shall go before us; because, as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him." ² And Aaron said to them, "Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them to me." ³ And all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. ⁴ And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with an engraving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: And they said, "These be your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt." ⁵ And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, "Tomorrow is a feast to the LORD."

¹⁵ You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: You shall not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: But in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

¹ And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. ² And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: And the whole congregation said to them, "Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would God we had died in this wilderness! ³ And why has the LORD brought us to this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? Were it not better for us to return into Egypt? ⁴ And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt. ⁵ Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. ⁶ And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of those that searched the land, rent their clothes: ⁷ And they spoke to all the company of the children of Israel, saying, "The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. ⁸ If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey. ⁹ Only rebel not you against the LORD, neither fear you the people of the land; for they are bread for us: Their defense is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: Fear them not. ¹⁰ But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.

¹⁷ You shall not respect persons in judgment; but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: And the cause that is too hard for you, bring it to me, and I will hear it.

¹⁹ You shall not wrest judgment; you shall not respect persons, neither take a gift: For a gift does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

¹⁷ You shall not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's clothing to pledge:

¹⁵ And if it seem evil to you to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

⁹ But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatted calves, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: But every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

¹⁰ And he said, "I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: For the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slain your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

³⁴ Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?

² He shall judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with judgment.

¹⁰ My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. ¹¹ If they say, "Come with us, let us lay in wait for blood, let us lurk privately for the innocent without cause:

¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them; refrain your foot from their path:

¹⁴ Do not enter into the path of the wicked, and do not go in the way of evil men.

¹⁵ Therefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: For they had made that the prison.

²¹ Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city was spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

⁵ Then Zedekiah the king said, "Behold, he is in your hand: For the king is not he who can do anything against you." ⁶ Then they took Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: And they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: So Jeremiah sunk in the mire.

⁹ "My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is likely to die for hunger in the place where he is: For there is no more bread in the city."

⁹ Then said He to me, "The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: For they say, 'The LORD has forsaken the earth, and the LORD does not see.'

⁴ "Is it time for you, O you all, to dwell in your paneled houses, and this house lie in waste?"

²⁴ When Pilate saw that he could prevail in nothing, but rather that a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person: You see to it." ²⁵ Then all the people answered, and said, "His blood be on us, and on our children." ²⁶ Then he released Barabbas to them: And when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

¹⁵ And so Pilate, willing to please the people, released Barabbas to them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged Him, to be crucified.

²³ But they were urgent with loud voices, requiring that He might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed. ²⁴ And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

⁵¹ (The same had not consented to the counsel and their deed which was done;) he was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews: Who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

⁵⁰ Nicodemus (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them), said to them, ⁵¹ "Does our law judge any man, before it hears him, and know what he does?"

²⁷ But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' office: And Felix, willing to do the Jews a favor, left Paul bound.

⁹ But Festus, willing to do the Jews a favor, answered Paul and said, "Will you go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged concerning these things before me?"

³² Who knowing the judgment of God, that those who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in those that do them.

¹¹ But when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. ¹² For before certain ones came from James, he ate with the Gentiles: But when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. ¹³ And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; so that even Barnabas was also carried away with their dissimulation.

² How long will you judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. ³ Defend the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and needy.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

¹ You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: You shall in any case bring them again to your brother. ² And if your brother be not near to you, or if you know him not, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall be with you until your brother seek after it, and you shall restore it to him again. ³ In like manner shall you do with his donkey; and so shall you do with his clothing; and with all lost thing of your brother's, which he has lost, and you have found, shall you do likewise: You may not hide yourself. ⁴ You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fall down by the way, and hide yourself from them: You shall surely help him to lift them up again.

²⁹ If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him: ³⁰ Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.

¹⁷ Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles: ¹⁸ Lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him, and He turns away His wrath from him.

²¹ If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink:

⁴⁴ But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to those that hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you, and persecute you;

²⁷ But I say to you who hear; Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, ²⁸ bless those that curse you, and pray for those who despitefully use you.

¹⁷ Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honestly in the sight of all men. ¹⁸ If it is possible, as much as rests with you, live peaceably with all men. ¹⁹ Dearly beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: For it is written, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay", says the Lord. ²⁰ Therefore "If your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink: For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire upon his head." ²¹ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

¹⁵ See that no one renders evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

¹⁹ Cursed be he that perverts the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, "Amen.

⁷ Why now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: For there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor reverence of persons, nor taking of gifts.

¹³ If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;

²¹ if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate: ²² Then let my arm fall from my shoulder blade, and my arm be broken from the bone.

³ Defend the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and needy. ⁴ Deliver the poor and needy: Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

⁸ If you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, do not marvel at the matter: For he who is higher than the highest observes; and there be higher than they.

¹ Woe to those that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write oppressiveness which they have prescribed; ² to turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

²⁸ They are waxen fat, they shine: Yes, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: They do not judge the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy they do not judge.

²⁸ They are all grievous rebels, walking with slanders: They are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.

⁶ if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:

¹¹ Therefore, as much as your treading is upon the poor, and you take burdens of wheat from him: You have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them. ¹² For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: They afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their rights.

¹ And I said, "Hear, I implore you, O heads of Jacob, and all you princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment? ² Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; ³ who also eat the flesh of My people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron." ⁴ Then they shall cry to the LORD, but He will not hear them: He will even hide His face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves badly in their doings.

¹ Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city! ² She did not obey the voice; she did not receive correction; she did not trust in the LORD; she did not draw near to her God. ³ Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they do not gnaw the bones until the next day. ⁴ Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: Her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law. ⁵ And I will come near to you to decree judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his rights, and do not fear Me", says the LORD of hosts.

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those that love Him? ⁶ But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

¹³ You shall not kill.

⁷ keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, to the third and to the fourth generation."

²⁵ Cursed be he that takes reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, "Amen.

²³ If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up, you shall put away iniquity far from your tabernacles.

¹⁴ Do not enter into the path of the wicked, and do not go in the way of evil men. ¹⁵ Avoid it, do not pass by it, turn from it, and pass away.

¹⁵ He that justifies the wicked, and he that comdemns the just, even both of them are abomination to the LORD.

¹⁵ He who walks righteously, and speaks uprightly; he who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands from holding bribes, who stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;

³ The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who withhold the truth in unrighteousness;

⁵ But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you treasure up for yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; ⁶ who "will render to every man according to his deeds":

²² Abstain from all appearance of evil.

¹⁷ For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regards not persons, nor takes reward:

³ And his sons did not walk in his ways, but turned aside after dishonest gain, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.

³ Behold, here I am: Witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: Whose ox have I taken? Or whose donkey have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I received any bribe to blind my eyes with it? And I will restore it to you.

¹⁰ In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

²⁷ He that is greedy of gain troubles his own house; but he that hates gifts shall live.

⁸ A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that has it: Wherever it turns, it prospers.

²³ A wicked man takes a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.

⁴ Wealth makes many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbor.

⁷ Surely oppression makes a wise man mad; and a gift destroys the heart.

¹³ Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination to Me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away endure; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

²³ Who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

¹² In you they have taken gifts to shed blood; you have taken usury and increase, and you have greedily gained from your neighbors by extortion, and have forgotten Me", said the Lord GOD.

¹⁸ Their drink is sour: They have committed whoredom continually: With shame, her rulers do love it, Give yourself.

¹² For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: They afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their rights.

³ That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asks, and the judge asks for a reward; and the great man, he utters his mischievous desire: So they wrap it up.his mischievous desire: In Hebrew, the mischief of his soul

²¹ Notwithstanding, if he continues a day or two, he shall not be punished: For he is his money.

²¹ You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: For you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ Love you therefore the stranger: For you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

¹⁴ You shall not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your strangers that are in your land within your gates: ¹⁵ At his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: Lest he cry against you to the LORD, and it be sin to you. ¹⁶ The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: Every man shall be put to death for his own sin. ¹⁷ You shall not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's clothing to pledge: ¹⁸ But you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you there: Therefore I command you to do this thing.

⁶ They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

⁷ In you they have set light by father and mother: In the midst of you they have dealt with the stranger by oppression: In you they have vexed the fatherless and the widow.

³³ Should you not have also had compassion on your fellow-servant, even as I had pity on you?'

¹⁷ Therefore, in all things it behoved him to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For in that He Himself has suffered being tempted, He is able to succor those that are tempted.

³ Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruit; ⁴ but in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest to the land, a Sabbath for the LORD: You shall neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard.

² speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a Sabbath to the LORD. ³ Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruit; ⁴ but in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest to the land, a Sabbath for the LORD: You shall neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard. ⁵ That which grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap, neither gather the grapes of your vine undressed: For it is a year of rest to the land. ⁶ And the Sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for you, and for your servant, and for your maid, and for your hired servant, and for your stranger that sojourns with you. ⁷ And for your domestic beasts, and for the beast that are in your land, shall all its increase be meat.

¹¹ A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you: You shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of your vine undressed. ¹² For it is the jubilee; it shall be holy to you: You shall eat its increase out of the field.

²⁰ And if you shall say, "What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:

²² And you shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in you shall eat of the old store.

³⁴ Then shall the land enjoy her Sabbaths, as long as it lies desolate, and you be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her Sabbaths. ³⁵ As long as it lies desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your Sabbaths, when you dwelled on it.

⁸ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. ⁹ Six days you shall labor, and do all your work: ¹⁰ But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: In it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your domestic beasts, nor your stranger that is within your gates: ¹¹ For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

¹⁵ Six days work may be done; but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. ¹⁶ For which reason the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

²¹ Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: In ripening time and in harvest you shall rest.

³ You shall not kindle fire throughout your habitations upon the Sabbath day."

¹³ Six days you shall labor, and do all your work: ¹⁴ But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: In it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your domestic beasts, nor your stranger that is within your gates; that your manservant and your maidservant may rest as well as you. ¹⁵ And remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD your God brought you out there through a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: Therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

³ They say, 'Why have we fasted, and You do not see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and You do not take notice?' Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and compel all your labors.

¹⁴ And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath day, and said to the people, "There are six days in which men ought to work: Therefore come on them and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day."

³⁸ and Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed), and Shibmah: And gave other names to the cities which they built.

⁹ Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life: But teach them your sons, and your sons' sons;

¹⁵ Take you therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the middle of the fire:

³ And you shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and you shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

⁵ But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to hold to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

⁷ that you come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves to them:

¹¹ Take good heed therefore to yourselves, that you love the LORD your God.

⁷ Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he be constant to do My commandments and my judgments, as at this day. ⁸ Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: That you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you forever. ⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: For the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: If you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

⁴ Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god: I will not offer their drink offerings of blood, nor take up their names into my lips.

¹ To the chief Musician, even to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. I said, "I will take heed to my ways, that I do not sin with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked are before me."

¹¹ Thus you shall say to them, "The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, they shall even perish from the earth, and from under these heavens."

¹⁷ For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no longer be remembered by their name.

² And it shall come to pass in that day", says the LORD of hosts, "that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no longer be remembered: And I will also cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

¹² For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

¹⁵ See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

¹⁶ Take heed to yourself, and to the doctrine; continue in them: For in doing this you shall save both yourself, and those that hear you.

¹⁵ Looking diligently lest any man be destitute of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and by this many are defiled;

¹⁷ Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

²² And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year's end. ²³ Thrice in the year all your male children shall appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel. ²⁴ For I will cast out the nations before you, and enlarge your borders: Neither shall any man desire your land, when you shall go up to appear before the LORD your God thrice in the year.

⁵ In the fourteenth day of the first month at sunset is the LORD's Passover.

¹⁶ Even to the next day after the seventh Sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new food offering to the LORD.

³⁴ speak to the children of Israel, saying, "The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days to the LORD.

¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: And they shall not appear before the LORD empty:

¹⁴ And this day shall be for a memorial to you; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. ¹⁵ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. ¹⁶ And on the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you. ¹⁷ And you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for on this same day I have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: Therefore you shall observe this day in your generations by an ordinance forever. ¹⁸ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at sunset, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty-first day of the month at sunset. ¹⁹ Seven days there shall be no leaven found in your houses: For whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall even be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. ²⁰ You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations you shall eat unleavened bread. ²¹ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, "Draw out and take yourselves a lamb according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb. ²² And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. ²³ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not permit the destroyer to come in to your houses to smite you. ²⁴ And you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever. ²⁵ And it shall come to pass, when you have come to the land which the LORD will give you, according to as He has promised, that you shall keep this service. ²⁶ And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say to you, 'What do you mean by having this service?' ²⁷ That you shall say, 'It is the sacrifice of the LORD's Passover, Who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.' " And the people bowed the head and worshiped. ²⁸ And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

⁴³ And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "This is the ordinance of the Passover: No stranger shall eat of it: ⁴⁴ But every man's servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then he shall eat of it. ⁴⁵ A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it. ⁴⁶ It shall be eaten in one house; you shall not carry forth any of the flesh outside of the house; neither shall you break a bone of it. ⁴⁷ All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. ⁴⁸ And when a stranger shall sojourn with you, and will keep the Passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: For no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. ⁴⁹ One law shall be to him that is home-born, And to the stranger that sojourns among you."

⁴ This day you came out in the month Abib.

⁶ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the LORD. ⁷ Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall be no leavened bread seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters.

¹⁸ You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the time of the month Abib: For in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.

²⁰ But the firstling of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: And if you do not redeem him, then you shall break his neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before Me empty.

¹⁰ speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you be come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest:

² let the children of Israel also keep the Passover at his appointed season. ³ In the fourteenth day of this month, at sunset, you shall keep it in his appointed season: According to all the rites of it, and according to all its ceremonies, shall you keep it. ⁴ And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, that they should keep the Passover. ⁵ And they kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at sunset in the wilderness of Sinai: According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. ⁶ And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the Passover on that day: And they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day: ⁷ And those men said to him, "We are defiled by the dead body of a man: Why are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel? ⁸ And Moses said to them, "Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you. ⁹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁰ speak to the children of Israel, saying, "If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the Passover to the LORD. ¹¹ The fourteenth day of the second month at sunset they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. ¹² They shall leave none of it to the morning, nor break any bone of it: According to all the ordinances of the Passover they shall keep it. ¹³ But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and declines to keep the Passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: Because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. ¹⁴ And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the Passover to the LORD; according to the ordinance of the Passover, and according to its manner, so shall he do: You shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

¹⁶ And on the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of the LORD. ¹⁷ And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: Seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. ¹⁸ In the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of servile work in it: ¹⁹ But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering to the LORD; two young bulls, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: They shall be to you without blemish: ²⁰ And their food offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: Three tenth deals shall you offer for a bull, and two tenth deals for a ram; ²¹ A several tenth deal shall you offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: ²² And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. ²³ You shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. ²⁴ After this manner you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD: It shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. ²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work.

¹ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to the LORD your God: For in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night. ² You shall therefore sacrifice the Passover to the LORD your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. ³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: That you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your coast seven days; neither shall there anything of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at sunset, remain all night until the morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you: ⁶ But at the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at sunset, at the going down of the sun, at the season that you came forth out of Egypt. ⁷ And you shall roast and eat it in the place which the LORD your God shall choose: And you shall turn in the morning, and go to your tents. ⁸ Six days you shall eat unleavened bread: And on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God: You shall do no work in it.

¹⁰ And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at sunset in the plains of Jericho. ¹¹ And they ate of the old grain of the land on the next day after the Passover, unleavened cakes, and parched grain kernels in the same day.

²¹ And the king commanded all the people, saying, "Keep the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant." ²² Surely there was not held such a Passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah; ²³ but in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, in which this Passover was held to the LORD in Jerusalem.

⁹ Honor the LORD with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all your increase: ¹⁰ So shall your barns be filled with plenty, and your presses shall burst out with new wine.

¹² Then on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover, His disciples said to Him, "Where would you like that we go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?"

⁷ Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed.

⁷ Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: ⁸ Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

²⁹ You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe fruits, and of your liquors: You shall give the firstborn of your sons to Me.liquors: In Hebrew, tears

²² And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year's end.

⁹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁰ speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you be come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest: ¹¹ And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: On the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. ¹² And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf a he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to the LORD. ¹³ And the food offering of it shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD for a sweet smell: And the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. ¹⁴ And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain kernels, nor green ears, until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God: It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ¹⁵ And you shall count to you from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: ¹⁶ Even to the next day after the seventh Sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new food offering to the LORD. ¹⁷ You shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the firstfruits to the LORD. ¹⁸ And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bull, and two rams: They shall be for a burnt offering to the LORD, with their food offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet smell to the LORD. ¹⁹ Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. ²⁰ And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: They shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. ²¹ And you shall proclaim on the same day, that it may be a holy convocation to you: You shall do no servile work in it: It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

³⁴ speak to the children of Israel, saying, "The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days to the LORD. ³⁵ On the first day shall be a holy convocation: You shall do no servile work in it. ³⁶ Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD: On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD: It is a solemn assembly; and you shall do no servile work in it. ³⁷ These are the feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering, and a food offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing on his day: ³⁸ Beside the Sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which you give to the LORD. ³⁹ Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days: On the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath. ⁴⁰ And you shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. ⁴¹ And you shall keep it a feast to the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations: You shall celebrate it in the seventh month. ⁴² You shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: ⁴³ That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. ⁴⁴ And Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

²⁶ Also in the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new food offering to the LORD, after your weeks be out, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work: ²⁷ But you shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet smell to the LORD; two young bulls, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; ²⁸ and their food offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to one bull, two tenth deals to one ram, ²⁹ A several tenth deal to one lamb, throughout the seven lambs; ³⁰ and one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. ³¹ You shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his food offering, (they shall be to you without blemish) and their drink offerings.

¹² And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work, and you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days: ¹³ And you shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD; thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish: ¹⁴ And their food offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to every bull of the thirteen bulls, two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams, ¹⁵ and a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteen lambs: ¹⁶ And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his food offering, and his drink offering. ¹⁷ And on the second day you shall offer twelve young bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot: ¹⁸ And their food offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: ¹⁹ And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and the food offering of it, and their drink offerings. ²⁰ And on the third day eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish; ²¹ and their food offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: ²² And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his food offering, and his drink offering. ²³ And on the fourth day ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish: ²⁴ Their food offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: ²⁵ And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his food offering, and his drink offering. ²⁶ And on the fifth day nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without spot: ²⁷ And their food offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: ²⁸ And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his food offering, and his drink offering. ²⁹ And on the sixth day eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish: ³⁰ And their food offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: ³¹ And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his food offering, and his drink offering. ³² And on the seventh day seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish: ³³ And their food offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: ³⁴ And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his food offering, and his drink offering. ³⁵ On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly: You shall do no servile work in it: ³⁶ But you shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD: One bull, one ram, seven lambs of the first year without blemish: ³⁷ Their food offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: ³⁸ And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his food offering, and his drink offering. ³⁹ These things you shall do to the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your food offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

⁹ Seven weeks shall you number to you: Begin to number the seven weeks from such time as you begin to put the sickle to the grain. ¹⁰ And you shall keep the feast of weeks to the LORD your God with a tribute of a freewill offering of your hand, which you shall give to the LORD your God, according to as the LORD your God has blessed you: ¹¹ And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite that is within your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD your God has chosen to place his name there. ¹² And you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt: And you shall observe and do these statutes. ¹³ You shall observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that you have gathered in your grain and your wine: ¹⁴ And you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within your gates. ¹⁵ Seven days shall you keep a solemn feast to the LORD your God in the place which the LORD shall choose: Because the LORD your God shall bless you in all your increase, and in all the works of your hands, therefore you shall surely rejoice.

¹⁴ And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month: ¹⁵ And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, "Go forth to the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written. ¹⁶ So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one on the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim. ¹⁷ And all the congregation of those that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: For since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun to that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness. ¹⁸ Also day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according to the manner.

¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. ¹⁷ And it shall be, that whoever will not come up of all the families of the earth to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, upon them shall even be no rain. ¹⁸ And if the family of Egypt does not go up, and does not come, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, with which the LORD will smite the heathen that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.that have no rain: In Hebrew, upon whom there is not rain ¹⁹ This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

² Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

³⁷ On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If any man thirsts, let him come to Me, and drink.

¹ And when the Day of Pentecost fully came, they were all with one accord in one place.

¹⁴ Three times you shall keep a feast to Me in the year.

²³ Thrice in the year all your male children shall appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.

⁵ But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even to his habitation shall you seek, and thither you shall come:

¹¹ when all Israel is come to appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

⁷ They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appear before God.

⁴² And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.

⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and they shall eat it with bitter herbs.

¹⁰ And you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.

¹⁵ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

²⁵ You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.

¹¹ No food offering, which you shall bring to the LORD, shall be made with leaven: For you shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.

¹² If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.

¹⁵ And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.

⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your coast seven days; neither shall there anything of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at sunset, remain all night until the morning.

²⁶ The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring to the house of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a kid goat in his mother's milk."

¹⁰ speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you be come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest: ¹¹ And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: On the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. ¹² And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf a he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to the LORD. ¹³ And the food offering of it shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD for a sweet smell: And the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. ¹⁴ And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain kernels, nor green ears, until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God: It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ¹⁵ And you shall count to you from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: ¹⁶ Even to the next day after the seventh Sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new food offering to the LORD. ¹⁷ You shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the firstfruits to the LORD.

¹² All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer to the LORD, them I have given you. ¹³ And whatever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring to the LORD, shall be yours; everyone that is clean in your house shall eat of it.

⁵ But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even to his habitation shall you seek, and thither you shall come: ⁶ And thither you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and of your flocks: ⁷ And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.

²¹ You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself: You shall give it to the stranger that is in your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to an alien: For you are a holy people to the LORD your God. You shall not boil a kid goat in his mother's milk."

² that you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which you shall bring of your land that the LORD your God gives you, and shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name there.

¹⁰ And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which you, O LORD, have given me. And you shall set it before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God:

³⁵ And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of the LORD:

¹⁰ A righteous man regards the life of his beast: But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

³ For the customs of the people are vain: For one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.

²⁰ But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those that are deceased.

⁴ These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.

¹⁸ On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

¹⁶ the Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth."

² And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush: And he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. ³ And Moses said, "I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt." ⁴ And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said, "Moses, Moses." And he said, "Here I am." ⁵ And he said, "Do not draw near here: Put off your shoes from your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground." ⁶ Moreover he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

¹⁹ And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

¹⁷ You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which You have made for Yourself to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which Your hands have established.

³⁴ Therefore go now, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you: Behold, My Angel shall go before you: Nevertheless, in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them."

² And I will send an angel before you; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

¹⁴ And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest."

¹⁶ And when we cried out to the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and has brought us forth out of Egypt: And behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of your border:

¹³ And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, there stood a man in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand: And Joshua went to him, and said to him, "Are you for us, or for our adversaries?

² And the LORD said to Joshua, "See, I have given Jericho into your hand, and its king, and the mighty men of valor.

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

⁹ In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them: In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

¹ "Behold, I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me: And the Lord, Whom all of you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, Whom you all delight in: Behold, He shall come", says the LORD of hosts.

³⁴ Then the King shall say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

⁹ Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents. ¹⁰ Nor murmur, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

¹⁴ And God said to Moses, "I AM THAT I AM": And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' "

³ And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by My name JEHOVAH I was not known to them.

⁵ And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. ⁶ And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, "The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, ⁷ keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, to the third and to the fourth generation."

¹¹ And the LORD said to Moses, "How long will this people provoke me? And how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them?

³⁵ I the LORD have said, "I will surely do it to all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

¹⁹ And it shall come to pass, that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

¹⁹ And Joshua said to the people, You cannot serve the LORD: For he is a holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and all you perish from pursuing the way, when His wrath is kindled only a little. Blessed are all those that put their trust in Him.

¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious name forever: And let the whole earth be filled with His glory; Amen, and Amen.

⁴⁰ How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, and grieve Him in the desert!

⁵⁶ Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and did not keep His testimonies:

¹⁸ That men may know that You, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the Most High over all the earth.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

⁶ For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given: And the government shall be upon His shoulder: And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

⁸ I am the LORD: That is My name: And My glory I will not give to another, neither My praise to graven images.

⁶ That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is none other.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

⁷ How shall I pardon you for this? Your children have forsaken me, and sworn by those that are not gods: When I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

⁶ In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: And this is His name by which he shall be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

²³ "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel", which being interpreted is, "God with us."

⁵ While he still spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: And behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear Him."

²³ That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father which sent Him.

³⁰ I and My Father are one."

³⁸ But if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works: That you may know, and believe, that the Father is in Me, and I in Him."

⁹ Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long a time, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He that has seen Me has seen the Father; therefore how come you say, 'Show us the Father'? ¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from Myself: But the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works.

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by which you are sealed until the day of redemption.

⁹ For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

¹⁰ Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, 'They always err in their heart; and they have not known My ways.' ¹¹ So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter into My rest.' ")

¹⁶ For some, when they had heard, did provoke: Nevertheless, not all who came out of Egypt by Moses provoked.

²⁶ For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, ²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. ²⁸ He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy, who has tread underfoot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has extreme malice toward the Spirit of grace?

²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him that speaks. For if those who refused 'Him that spoke on earth' did not escape, much more we shall not escape, if we turn away from Him that speaks from heaven:

¹⁶ If any man sees his brother sin a sin which is not to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those that sin not to death. There is a sin leading to death: I do not say that he should pray for it.

⁸ "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending", says the Lord, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

⁸ "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; 'These things says the First and the Last, which was dead, and is alive;

²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searches the inner reins and hearts: And I will give to every one of you according to your works.

⁷ "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; 'These things says He that is holy, He that is true, "He that has the key of David, He that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens";

³ And I will bless those that bless you, and curse him that curses you: And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed."

⁹ He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: Who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesses you, and cursed is he that curses you.

⁷ And the LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on them that hate you, which persecuted you.

²⁰ Their children also shall be as in former time, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all who oppress them.

⁸ For thus says the LORD of hosts; "After the glory, He has sent me to the nations which plundered you: For he that touches you touches the apple of His eye.

⁴ Then he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?" ⁵ And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And the Lord said, "I am Jesus whom you persecute: It is hard for you to kick against the prods."

¹⁹ The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, ²⁰ and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, ²¹ and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."

² And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.

¹⁷ And I have said, 'I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.' " '

²⁰ Behold, I send an Angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

² And Aaron said to them, "Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them to me."

⁸ And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelled on the other side of the Jordan; and they fought with you: And I gave them into your hand, that you might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you. ⁹ Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you: ¹⁰ But I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: So I delivered you out of his hand. ¹¹ And you went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho: And the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.

¹³ Therefore My people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: And their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them: For I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those that hate Me;

²⁰ And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and scattered it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

¹³ But you shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: ¹⁴ For you shall worship no other god: For the LORD, Whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

³ After the doings of the land of Egypt, in which you dwelled, you shall not do: And after the doings of the land of Canaan, where I bring you, you shall not do: Neither shall you walk in their ordinances.

²⁶ You shall therefore keep My statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourns among you: ²⁷ (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled); ²⁸ That the land spew not you out also, when you defile it, as it spewed out the nations that were before you. ²⁹ For whoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. ³⁰ Therefore you shall keep my ordinance, that you commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that you defile not yourselves in it: I am the LORD your God.

⁵² then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

⁵ But thus shall you deal with them; you shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

²⁵ The graven images of their gods shall you burn with fire: You shall not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it to you, lest you be snared in it: For it is an abomination to the LORD your God. ²⁶ Neither shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be a cursed thing like it: But you shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

³⁰ take heed to yourself that you be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before you; and that you inquire not after their gods, saying, "How did these nations serve their gods? Even so will I do likewise. ³¹ You shall not do so to the LORD your God: Forevery abomination to the LORD, which he hates, have they done to their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

² But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

⁹ So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

³ For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: And in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images. ⁴ And they broke down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images, that were on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he broke in pieces, and made dust of them, and strewed it on the graves of those that had sacrificed to them. ⁵ And he burnt the bones of the priests on their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem. ⁶ And so did he in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even to Naphtali, with their mattocks all around. ⁷ And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.

³ I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I have hated the work of those who turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

³⁵ But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. ³⁶ And they served their idols; which were a snare to them. ³⁷ Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils, ³⁸ and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan: And the land was polluted with blood.

⁴⁷ Yet you have not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: But, as if that were a very little thing, you were corrupted more than they in all your ways.

²⁶ and said, "If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: For I am the LORD that heals you."

¹³ You shall fear the LORD your God, and serve him, and shall swear by his name.

¹³ And he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you: He will also bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your grain, and your wine, and your oil, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which He swore to your fathers to give you.

¹⁵ And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, on you; but will lay them on all those that hate you.

¹² And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

²⁰ You shall fear the LORD your God; him shall you serve, and to him shall you hold, and swear by his name.

¹³ And it shall come to pass, if you shall listen diligently to My commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, ¹⁴ that I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your wine, and your oil.

⁴ You shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and join to him.

¹ And it shall come to pass, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth: ² And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall hearken to the voice of the LORD your God. ³ Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. ⁴ Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your domestic beasts, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep. ⁵ Blessed shall be your basket and your store. ⁶ Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. ⁷ The LORD shall cause your enemies that rise up against you to be smitten before your face: They shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways. ⁸ The LORD shall command the blessing on you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand to; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you. ⁹ The LORD shall establish you a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways. ¹⁰ And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you. ¹¹ And the LORD shall make you plenteous in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your domestic beasts, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. ¹² The LORD shall open to you his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain to your land in his season, and to bless all the work of your hand: And you shall lend to many nations, and you shall not borrow. ¹³ And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them: ¹⁴ And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand side, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

¹⁴ Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: And put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve you the LORD. ¹⁵ And if it seem evil to you to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

²¹ And the people said to Joshua, "No; but we will serve the LORD.

²⁴ And the people said to Joshua, "The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

³ And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, "If you return to the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts to the LORD, and serve Him only: And He will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines."

²⁰ And Samuel said to the people, "Fear not: You have done all this wickedness: Yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;

²⁴ Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: For consider what great things He has done for you.

³ Who forgives all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases;

¹⁶ he shall dwell on high: His place of defense shall be the fortress of rocks: Bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

²⁴ And the inhabitant shall not say, "I am sick: The people that dwell in it shall be forgiven their iniquity.

² And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped: They shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung on the face of the earth.

¹⁰ Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, all of you, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now with this", says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open to you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing upon you, such that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to Him, "Get away from here, Satan: For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only shall you serve.' "

⁸ Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.

²⁹ And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered to his people, being old and full of days: And his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

¹⁴ You shall be blessed above all people: There shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your domestic beasts.

⁴ Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your domestic beasts, the increase of your cows, and the flocks of your sheep.

¹ So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

²⁶ You shall come to your grave in a full age, like as a shock of grain comes in in his season.

¹⁰ Their bull engenders, and fails not; their cow calves, and casts not her calf.

¹⁷ So Job died, being old and full of days.

²³ But you, O God, shall bring them down into the pit of destruction: Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in You.

¹⁰ The days of our years are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their strength is labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

³⁸ He also blesses them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and does not permit their domestic beasts to decrease.

¹³ That our granaries may be full, affording all manner of supply: That our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

²⁰ There shall no longer be an infant who lives but a few days there, nor an old man who has not filled his days: For the child shall die a hundred years old; but the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.

¹⁰ Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, all of you, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now with this", says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open to you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing upon you, such that there shall not be room enough to receive it. ¹¹ And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the harvest time in the field", says the LORD of hosts.

⁵ And they journeyed: And the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

¹⁴ The people shall hear, and be afraid: Sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. ¹⁵ Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. ¹⁶ Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of Your arm they shall be as still as a stone; until Your people pass over, O LORD, until the people which You have purchased pass over.

²⁵ This day will I begin to put the dread of you and the fear of you on the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of you, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of you.

²³ But the LORD your God shall deliver them to you, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

²³ then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.

²⁵ There shall no man be able to stand before you: For the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you shall tread on, as he has said to you.

⁹ and she said to the men, I know that the LORD has given you the land, and that your terror is fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. ¹⁰ For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when you came out of Egypt; and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed. ¹¹ And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: For the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

¹⁵ And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: The garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: So it was a very great trembling.

⁶ For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: And they said one to another, See, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come on us.

¹⁴ And they smote all the cities all around Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: And they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceedingly much spoil in them.

⁴⁰ You have also given me the necks of my enemies; that I might destroy those that hate me.

²⁰ Moreover the LORD your God will send the hornet among them, until those that are left, and hide themselves from you, be destroyed.

¹¹ And you went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho: And the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand. ¹² And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; but not with your sword, nor with your bow.

²² And the LORD your God will put out those nations before you by little and little: You may not consume them at once, lest the wild beasts of the field increase on you.

⁶³ As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.

¹⁰ And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelled in Gezer: But the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day, and serve under tribute.

¹² Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land. ¹³ Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, but did not utterly drive them out.

¹ Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan; ² only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing of it; ³ namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelled in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baalhermon to the entering in of Hamath. ⁴ And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would listen to the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

³⁴ And the LORD said to Moses, "Fear him not: For I have delivered him into your hand, and all his people, and his land; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelled at Heshbon.

³ Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the border of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost border of the salt sea eastward: ⁴ And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: And the going forth of it shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon: ⁵ And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon to the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea. ⁶ And as for the western border, you shall even have the great sea for a border: This shall be your west border. ⁷ And this shall be your north border: From the great sea you shall point out for you Mount Hor: ⁸ From Mount Hor you shall point out your border to the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad: ⁹ And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: This shall be your north border. ¹⁰ And you shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham: ¹¹ And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward: ¹² And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: This shall be your land with its coasts all around. ¹³ And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, "This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe: ¹⁴ For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance: ¹⁵ The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sun rise.

² And the LORD said to me, Fear him not: For I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelled at Heshbon.

²⁴ Every place on which the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: From the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

⁴ From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

⁷ Then you shall rise up from the ambush, and seize on the city: For the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand.

¹⁸ And the LORD said to Joshua, "Stretch out the spear that is in your hand toward Ai; for I will give it into your hand. And Joshua outstretched the spear that he had in his hand toward the city.

⁸ And the LORD said to Joshua, "Fear them not: For I have delivered them into your hand; there shall not a man of them stand before you.

¹⁹ And stay you not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: For the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.

⁴⁴ And the LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers: And there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

¹⁴ And behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you; all have come to pass to you, and not one thing has failed of it.

⁸ And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelled on the other side of the Jordan; and they fought with you: And I gave them into your hand, that you might possess their land; and I destroyed them from before you.

¹² And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; but not with your sword, nor with your bow.

¹⁸ And the LORD drove out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelled in the land: Therefore will we also serve the LORD; for He is our God.

⁴ And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: And they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.

²¹ And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: So Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.

⁴ Then David inquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, "Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand."

²¹ And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: They brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

²⁴ For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: And he had peace on all sides all around him.

¹³ And behold, there came a prophet to Ahab king of Israel, saying, "Thus says the LORD, Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand this day; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

⁸ He shall also have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.

¹² Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you go, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you:

¹⁵ Lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods, and one call you, and you eat of his sacrifice;

¹ And Israel stayed in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. ² And they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods: And the people ate, and bowed down to their gods.

² and when the LORD your God shall deliver them before you; you shall smite them, and utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them:

¹⁶ And you shall consume all the people which the LORD your God shall deliver you; your eye shall have no pity on them: Neither shall you serve their gods; for that will be a snare to you.

¹⁴ And the men took of their food, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD. ¹⁵ And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: And the princes of the congregation swore to them. ¹⁶ And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbors, and that they dwelled among them. ¹⁷ And the children of Israel journeyed, and came to their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim. ¹⁸ And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn to them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes. ¹⁹ But all the princes said to all the congregation, We have sworn to them by the LORD God of Israel: Now therefore we may not touch them. ²⁰ This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be on us, because of the oath which we swore to them. ²¹ And the princes said to them, "Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water to all the congregation; as the princes had promised them. ²² And Joshua called for them, and he spoke to them, saying, "Why have you beguiled us, saying, "We are very far from you; when you dwell among us? ²³ Now therefore you are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being servants, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.

¹ Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. ² And the king called the Gibeonites, and said to them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn to them: And Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah).

³⁵ But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.

¹⁵ And what agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what part has he that believes with an infidel?

² and when the LORD your God shall deliver them before you; you shall smite them, and utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them: ³ Neither shall you make marriages with them; your daughter you shall not give to his son, nor his daughter shall you take to your son.

³⁰ take heed to yourself that you be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before you; and that you inquire not after their gods, saying, "How did these nations serve their gods? Even so will I do likewise.

¹³ Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

³ Why I also said, "I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare to you.

²¹ And Saul said, "I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him." For this reason Saul said to David, "You shall be my son-in-law this day in the one of the two."

¹⁶ And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.

³⁶ And they served their idols; which were a snare to them.

²⁶ and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
