Exodus 19 Cross References - TKJU

1 In the third month, when the children of Israel had gone forth out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai. 2 For they had departed from Rephidim, and came to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount. 3 And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; 4 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to Myself. 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice, and keep My covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure to Me above all people: For all the earth is Mine: 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel." 7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. 8 And all the people answered together, and said, "All that the LORD has spoken we will do." And Moses returned the words of the people to the LORD. 9 And the LORD said to Moses, "Look, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever." And Moses told the words of the people to the LORD. 10 And the LORD said to Moses, "Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, 11 and be ready against the third day: For the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon Mount Sinai. 12 And you shall set bounds to the people all around, saying, 'Take heed to yourselves, that you do not go up into the mount, or touch the border of it: Whoever touches the mount shall surely be put to death: 13 A hand shall not touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it is beast or man, it shall not live': When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mount." 14 And Moses went down from the mount to the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. 15 And he said to the people, "Be ready against the third day: Do not come at your wives." 16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the sound of the trumpet was exceedingly loud; so that all the people that were in the camp trembled. 17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the lower part of the mount. 18 And Mount Sinai was altogether raging smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: And its smoke ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. 19 And when the sound of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice. 20 And the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: And the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. 21 And the LORD said to Moses, "Go down, solemnly warn the people, lest they break through to the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish. 22 And also let the priests, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them." 23 And Moses said to the LORD, "The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai: For you solemnly warned us, saying, 'Set bounds around the mount, and sanctify it.' " 24 And the LORD said to him, "Away, get down, and you shall come up, you, and Aaron with you: But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the LORD, lest he break forth upon them." 25 So Moses went down to the people, and spoke to them.

And he wrote them in two tablets of stone, and delivered them to me. 23 And it came to pass, when you heard the voice out of the middle of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire), that you came near to me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders; 24 and you said, "Behold, the LORD our God has showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the middle of the fire: We have seen this day that God does talk with man, and he lives. 25 Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us: If we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die. 26 For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as we have, and lived? 27 Go you near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: And speak you to us all that the LORD our God shall speak to you; and we will hear it, and do it. 28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when you spoke to me; and the LORD said to me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken to you: They have well said all that they have spoken. 29 O that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all My commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever! 30 Go say to them, Get you into your tents again. 31 But as for you, stand you here by me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

" 10 And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: Now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For every man cast down his rod, and they became serpents: But Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. 13 And He hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he did not hearken to them; as the LORD had said. 14 And the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go.

1 Corinthians 11:30-32

30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many deceased. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

2 Corinthians 3:7-9

7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraved in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away with: 8 How shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather glorious? 9 For if the ministration of condemnation is glory, much more does the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: For it is written, "Cursed is everyone that does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident: For, "The just shall live by faith."

Hebrews 12:18-25

18 For you have not come to the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor to blackness, and darkness, and tempest, 19 and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice those that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them anymore: 20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, "And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart": 21 And so frightful was the sight, that Moses said, "I exceedingly fear and tremble:") 22 But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 and to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel. 25 See that you do not refuse Him that speaks. For if those who refused 'Him that spoke on earth' did not escape, much more we shall not escape, if we turn away from Him that speaks from heaven:
