1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
2 "I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 You shall not make for yourself any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them: For I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those that hate Me;
6 and showing mercy to thousands of those that love Me, and keep My commandments.
7 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain.
8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work:
10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: In it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your domestic beasts, nor your stranger that is within your gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honor your father and your mother: That your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.
13 You shall not kill.
14 You shall not commit adultery.
15 You shall not steal.
16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: And when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
19 And they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear: But do not let God speak with us, lest we die."
20 And Moses said to the people, "Do not fear: For God has come to prove you, and that His fear may be before your faces, that you do not sin."
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.
22 And the LORD said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23 You shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall you make for yourself gods of gold.
24 You shall make to Me an altar of earth, and shall sacrifice your burnt offerings on it, and your peace offerings, your sheep, and your oxen: In all places where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you.
25 And if you will make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone: For if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted it.
26 Neither shall you go up by steps to My altar, that your nakedness is not discovered upon it.' "

9 And the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know: Am I my brother's keeper?"
10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground.
11 And now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand;
12 when you till the ground, it shall not yield her strength to you from now on; a fugitive and a vagabond you shall be in the earth."
13 And Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is greater than I can bear.
14 Behold, You have driven me out from the face of the earth this day; and from Your face I shall be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that everyone that finds me shall slay me."
15 And the LORD said to him, "Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.
16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelled in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bore Enoch: And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch.
18 And to Enoch was born Irad: And Irad begat Mehujael: And Mehujael begat Methusael: And Methusael begat Lamech.
19 And Lamech took to him two wives: The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
20 And Adah bore Jabal: He was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have domestic beasts.
21 And his brother's name was Jubal: He was the father of all that handle the harp and organ.
22 And Zillah, she also bore Tubalcain, an instructor of every smith in brass and iron: And the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

17 And if he smite him with throwing a stone, with which he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: The murderer shall surely be put to death.
18 Or if he smite him with a hand weapon of wood, with which he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: The murderer shall surely be put to death.
19 The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: When he meets him, he shall slay him.
20 But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;
21 or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: He that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: The revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meets him.
22 But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast on him anything without laying of wait,
23 or with any stone, with which a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it on him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:
24 Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments:
25 And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, where he had fled: And he shall abide in it to the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.
26 But if the slayer shall at any time come outside the border of the city of his refuge, where he had fled;
27 and the revenger of blood find him outside the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:
28 Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: But after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
29 So these things shall be for a statute of judgment to you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
30 Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: But one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

32 And you shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
33 So you shall not pollute the land in which you are: For blood it defiles the land: And the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed in it, but by the blood of him that shed it.
