¹ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia something was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: And he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision. ² In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. ³ I ate no pleasant bread, neither did flesh nor wine come into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled. ⁴ And on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; ⁵ then I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold, a certain man was clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: ⁶ His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet were like polished brass in color, and the voice of his words like the voices of a multitude. ⁷ And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision: For the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great trembling fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. ⁸ Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: For my becoming manner was turned into corruption in me, and I retained no strength. ⁹ Yet I heard the voice of his words: And when I heard the voice of his words, then I was in a deep sleep on my face, and my face was toward the ground. ¹⁰ And behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. ¹¹ And he said to me, "O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright: For to you I am now sent." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. ¹² Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel: For from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words. ¹³ But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days: But lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained with the kings of Persia. ¹⁴ Now I have come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days." ¹⁵ And when he had spoken such words to me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. ¹⁶ And behold, one resembling the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips: Then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said to him that stood before me, "O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. ¹⁷ For how can the servant of my lord talk with my lord? Now as for me, right away there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me." ¹⁸ Then one like the appearance of a man came again and touched me, and he strengthened me, ¹⁹ and said, "O man greatly beloved, do not fear: Peace be to you, be strong, yes, be strong." And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened, and said, "Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me." ²⁰ Then he said, "Do you know why I come to you? And now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia: And when I have gone forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come. ²¹ But I will show you that which is noted in the Scripture of Truth: And there is none that holds fast with me in these things, except Michael your prince."

³² And regarding that the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

²² Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

⁷ Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods; ⁸ even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

⁷ They gave money also to the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, to them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.

³ But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said to them, "You have nothing to do with us to build a house to our God; but we ourselves together will build to the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.

⁵ and hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.

¹³ But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon the same king Cyrus made a decree to build this house of God. ¹⁴ And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered to one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor; ¹⁵ and said to him, "Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be built in his place. ¹⁶ Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: And since that time even until now has it been in building, and yet it is not finished. ¹⁷ Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.

³ In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be built, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let its foundations be strongly laid; its height three score cubits, and its breadth three score cubits;

¹⁴ And the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

²⁸ Who said of Cyrus, "He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure": Even saying to Jerusalem, "You shall be built"; and to the temple, "Your foundation shall be laid."

⁷ To whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: For he gave to Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, Shadrach; and to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

¹⁷ As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: And Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

²¹ And Daniel continued to even the first year of King Cyrus.

²¹ And He changes the times and the seasons: He removes kings, and sets up kings: He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those that know understanding:

⁸ But at last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: And I told the dream before him, saying,

¹² in as much as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and explaining of hard sentences, and the dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation."

¹⁷ Then Daniel answered and said before the king, "Let your gifts be to yourself, and give your rewards to another; yet I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

²⁸ So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

¹⁶ And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, "Gabriel, make this man understand the vision."

²⁶ And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: After this, shut up the vision; for it shall be for many days."

²² And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill and understanding. ²³ At the beginning of your supplications the commandment came forth, and I have come to show you; for you are greatly beloved: Therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

¹⁴ Now I have come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days."

² And now I will show you the truth. Behold, there shall yet stand up three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than all of them: And by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece.

⁴ But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

⁹ And he said, "Go your way, Daniel: For the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.

²⁰ Yet behold, you shall be mute, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because you did not believe my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season."

⁹ And he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.' " And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."

⁴ Then were assembled to me everyone that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonished until the evening sacrifice. ⁵ And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands to the LORD my God,

⁴ And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

⁹ I will say to God my Rock, "Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?"

² For You are the God of my strength: Why do you cast me off? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

¹ By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion. ² We hung our harps upon the willows in the midst of there. ³ For those that carried us away captive required a song from us there; and those that wasted us required mirth from us, saying, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion." ⁴ How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land? ⁵ If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

¹⁰ "Rejoice all of you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her: Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her:

¹ Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

²⁴ Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. ²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. ²⁶ And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself: And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end of it shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that which is determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

¹⁵ And Jesus said to them, "Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they shall fast.

² that I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

⁹ Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

⁵ And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: And if any man will hurt them, he must be killed in this manner.

²⁴ And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

²⁰ So that his life abhors bread, and his soul dainty meat.

⁶ Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those that dwell in it are desolate: Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left. ⁷ The new wine mourns, the vine languishes, all the merry hearted do sigh. ⁸ The mirth of tambourine ceases, the noise of those who rejoice ends, the joy of the harp ceases. ⁹ They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to those who drink it. ¹⁰ The city of confusion is broken down: Every house is shut up, that no man may come in. ¹¹ There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.

¹⁸ Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: Neither were instruments of music brought before him: And his sleep went from him.

⁸ And shall also carry captives into Egypt, their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.

¹¹ Therefore, as much as your treading is upon the poor, and you take burdens of wheat from him: You have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them.

⁹ Take the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold, all of you: For there is no end of the storehouse and glory proceeding from all the pleasant furnishings.

¹⁷ But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;

²⁷ But I weary my body, and bring it into subjection: Lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

¹⁴ And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: That is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

³ the word of the LORD came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there on him.

² And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I looked, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

¹³ And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, there stood a man in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand: And Joshua went to him, and said to him, "Are you for us, or for our adversaries?

⁵ And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

⁹ Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: Blue and purple is their clothing: They are all the work of cunning men.

² And behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lies toward the north, and every man had a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: And they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar.

⁶ And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river: "How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?" ⁷ And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him that lives forever that "it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when he has accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."

⁸ "I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him there were red horses, speckled, and white."

¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girded around with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

¹³ and in the midst of the seven candlesticks One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded about the chest with a golden band. ¹⁴ His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; ¹⁵ and His feet were like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters.

⁶ And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their chests girded with golden girdles. ⁷ Then one of the four beasts gave to the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever.

²⁰ And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: They shall be set in gold within their enclosed settings.

⁷ And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: And they sparkled like the color of burnished brass.

¹⁴ And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

¹⁶ The appearance of the wheels and their work was like the color of a beryl: And the four had one likeness: And their appearance and their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

²⁴ And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of a host: When they stood still, they let down their wings.

⁹ And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: And the appearance of the wheels was as the color of a beryl stone.

² and was transfigured before them: And His face shined as the sun, and His clothes were white as the light.

²⁹ Then, as He prayed, the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His vesture was white and glistening.

¹³ and in the midst of the seven candlesticks One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded about the chest with a golden band. ¹⁴ His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; ¹⁵ and His feet were like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters. ¹⁶ And He had in His right hand seven stars: And out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: And His countenance was as the sun shining in His strength. ¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. Then He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, "Do not fear; I am the First and the Last:

¹ And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: And a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as if it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

³ and cried out with a loud voice, as when a lion roars: And when he had cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. ⁴ And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them."

¹² His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but he Himself.

²⁰ the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprase; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.sardius; or, ruby

¹⁰ And he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself."

¹⁷ And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I implore you, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. ¹⁸ And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, "Smite this people, I implore you, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. ¹⁹ And Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, neither is this the city: Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek. But he led them to Samaria. ²⁰ And it came to pass, when they had come into Samaria, that Elisha said, "LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and behold, they were in the middle of Samaria.

¹⁰ Enter into the rock, and you shall hide in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty.

²⁴ Can anyone hide himself in secret places such that I shall not see him?" said the LORD. "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" said the LORD.

¹⁸ "Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with carefulness;

⁷ And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man

⁹ "And those that were with me indeed saw the light, and were afraid; but they did not hear the voice of Him that spoke to me.

²¹ And so frightful was the sight, that Moses said, "I exceedingly fear and tremble:")

²⁴ And Jacob was left alone; and there a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. ²⁵ And when he saw that he did not prevail against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

³¹ And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he limped upon his thigh.

³ And Moses said, "I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt."

²⁸ At this time is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and my countenance changed in me: But I kept the matter in my heart."

⁷ And I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and broke his two horns: And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: And there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

²⁷ And I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick for days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astounded at the vision, but none understood it.

¹⁶ When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: When he comes up to the people, he will invade them with his troops.

⁶ And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were greatly afraid.

⁶ For he did not know what to say; because they were severely afraid.

³² Behold, the hour comes, yes, has now come, that you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave Me alone: And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

² I knew a man in Christ who over fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows); such a one that was caught up to the third heaven. ³ And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows);

⁷ And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, the messenger of Satan to wound me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. Then He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, "Do not fear; I am the First and the Last:

²¹ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: And he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place;

¹² And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and lo, a horror of great darkness fell upon him.

¹³ In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on men,

¹⁵ In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumberings on the bed;

² I sleep, but my heart wakes: It is the voice of my beloved that knocks, saying, "Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: For my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night."

¹⁸ Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: But he touched me, and set me upright.

³² But Peter and those that were with him were heavy with sleep: And when they were awake, they saw His glory, and the two men that stood with Him.

⁴⁵ And when He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping out of sorrow,

⁹ Then the LORD put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said to me, "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

²¹ yes, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

¹⁶ And behold, one resembling the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips: Then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said to him that stood before me, "O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.

¹⁸ Then one like the appearance of a man came again and touched me, and he strengthened me,

¹⁴ fear came on me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake. ¹⁵ Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up: ¹⁶ It stood still, but I could not discern its form: An image was before my eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,

¹ At this also my heart trembles, and is moved out of his place.

¹¹ so shall the King greatly desire Your beauty: For He is your Lord; and you worship Him.

¹⁰ I am my beloved's, and his desire is towards me.

¹ And He said to me, "Son of man, stand upon your feet, and I will speak to you."

¹⁶ And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, "Gabriel, make this man understand the vision." ¹⁷ So he came near where I stood: And when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: But he said to me, "Understand, O son of man: For at the time of the end shall be the vision."

¹⁹ and said, "O man greatly beloved, do not fear: Peace be to you, be strong, yes, be strong." And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened, and said, "Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me."

⁸ Therefore they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled and were amazed: Neither did they say anything to anyone; for they were afraid.

²³ Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.

²⁰ Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is he that betrays You?"

⁶ And he trembling and astonished said, "Lord, what would You have me to do?" And the Lord said to him, "Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told to you what you must do."

¹⁶ But rise, and stand upon your feet: For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen, and of those things which I will show to you;

²⁹ And this shall be a statute forever to you: That in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourns among you:

³¹ It shall be a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.

⁷ And you shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month a holy convocation; and you shall afflict your souls: You shall not do any work in it:

¹⁰ When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

⁴ Say to those that are of a fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not: Behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you."

¹⁰ Fear not; for I am with you: Be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'

¹⁴ Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you' ", said the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

⁹ Then you shall call, and the LORD shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, 'Here I am.' If you take away the yoke from the midst of you, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

³ And I set my face toward the LORD God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: ⁴ And I prayed to the LORD my God and made my confession, and said, "O LORD, the great and frightful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments;

²⁰ And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; ²¹ yes, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

² In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. ³ I ate no pleasant bread, neither did flesh nor wine come into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.

¹¹ And he said to me, "O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright: For to you I am now sent." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.

⁵ And the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not fear: For I know that you seek Jesus, which was crucified.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid: Go tell My brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see Me."

⁶ Moreover he said to them, "Do not be affrightened: You seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: He is risen; He is not here: Behold the place where they laid Him.

¹³ But the angel said to him, "Do not fear, Zacharias: For your prayer is heard; and your wife Elisabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

³⁰ Then the angel said to her, "Do not fear, Mary: For you have found favor with God.

¹⁰ Then the angel said to them, "Do not fear: For behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

³⁸ And He said to them, "Why are you troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

³ About the ninth hour of the day he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, "Cornelius." ⁴ And when he looked at him, he was afraid, and said, "What is it, Lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and your charitable alms have come up as a memorial before God. ⁵ And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:

³⁰ And Cornelius said, "Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, ³¹ and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your charitable alms are in remembrance in the sight of God.

⁹ Then the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not hold your peace: ¹⁰ For I am with you, and no man shall lay hold on you to hurt you: For I have many people in this city."

²⁴ saying, 'Fear not, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar: And look, God has given you all those who sail with you.'

⁴ Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, ⁵ and hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. ⁶ And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they to him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.

²⁴ Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem. So it ceased to the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.

²⁰ Then he said, "Do you know why I come to you? And now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia: And when I have gone forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come. ²¹ But I will show you that which is noted in the Scripture of Truth: And there is none that holds fast with me in these things, except Michael your prince."

¹ "And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book.

¹ And He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. ² And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?"

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

¹⁰ And you are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.

¹⁸ Therefore we would have come to you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

²² Who has gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to Him.

⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring a railing accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you."

⁷ And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

¹ And Jacob called to his sons, and said, "Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

³⁰ When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come on you, even in the latter days, if you turn to the LORD your God, and shall be obedient to his voice;

²¹ And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: For I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.

² And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

²⁸ but there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and makes known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these;

²² And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill and understanding.

¹ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia something was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: And he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

⁵ Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

¹ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it.

³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

¹ Also know this, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

³ how shall we escape, if we neglect such great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those that heard Him;

²⁷ In that day your mouth shall be opened to him who has escaped, and you shall speak, and be no more dumb: And you shall be a sign to them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.' "

²² Now the hand of the LORD was on me in the evening, before he who had escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until He came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.

⁹ Yet I heard the voice of his words: And when I heard the voice of his words, then I was in a deep sleep on my face, and my face was toward the ground.

¹⁰ And Moses said to the LORD, "O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither before, nor since You have spoken to Your servant: But I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue."

¹³ And he said, "O my LORD, send, I implore You, by the hand of him whom You will send."

¹⁴ And he said, "No; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said to him, "What said my Lord to his servant?

¹³ And Gideon said to him, "Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, "Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? But now the LORD has forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

¹⁵ And he said to him, "Oh my Lord, with which shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.

⁸ Then Manoah entreated the LORD, and said, "O my Lord, let the man of God which you sent come again to us, and teach us what we shall do to the child that shall be born."

¹⁸ For in much wisdom is much grief: And he that increases knowledge increases sorrow.

⁷ And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, "See, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged."

²⁶ And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: And on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

²⁷ But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD'; He who hears, let him hear; and he that declines, let him forbear: For they are a rebellious house."

¹⁵ I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

¹⁵ And it came to pass, when I, even I, Daniel, had seen the vision and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

¹⁷ So he came near where I stood: And when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: But he said to me, "Understand, O son of man: For at the time of the end shall be the vision."

⁵ then I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold, a certain man was clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: ⁶ His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet were like polished brass in color, and the voice of his words like the voices of a multitude.

⁸ Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: For my becoming manner was turned into corruption in me, and I retained no strength. ⁹ Yet I heard the voice of his words: And when I heard the voice of his words, then I was in a deep sleep on my face, and my face was toward the ground. ¹⁰ And behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

¹⁷ For how can the servant of my lord talk with my lord? Now as for me, right away there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me." ¹⁸ Then one like the appearance of a man came again and touched me, and he strengthened me,

⁸ And I heard, but I did not understand: Then I said, "O my lord, what shall be the end of these things?"

⁶⁴ And His mouth was immediately opened, and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, and praised God.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to speak against nor resist.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God."

⁷ But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: ⁸ And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.

¹³ and in the midst of the seven candlesticks One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded about the chest with a golden band.

²⁰ And moreover say, 'Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us.' " For he said, "I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept from me."

¹⁰ And they saw the God of Israel: And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in His clearness. ¹¹ And He did not lay His hand upon the nobles of the children of Israel: They also saw God, and ate and drank.

²⁰ And He said, "You cannot see My face: For there no man shall see Me, and live."

²² And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, "Alas, O LORD God! For because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

²¹ But the angel of the LORD did not appear anymore to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD. ²² And Manoah said to his wife, "We shall surely die, because we have seen God." ²³ But his wife said to him, "If the LORD were pleased to kill us, He would not have received a burnt offering and a food offering at our hands, neither would He have showed us all these things, nor would have told us such things as these at this time."

¹ In the year that king Uzziah died I also saw the LORD sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and robe train filled the temple. ² Above it stood the seraphim: Each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. ³ And one cried out to another, and said, "Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: The whole earth is full of his glory." ⁴ And the posts of the door moved at the voice of Him who cried, and the house was filled with smoke. ⁵ Then I said, "Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."

⁴³ He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call Him 'Lord', saying, ⁴⁴ "The LORD said to my Lord, 'sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool?' "

³⁶ For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool." '

¹⁸ No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

¹⁵ And David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life: And David was in the wilderness of Ziph in the woods.

⁵ But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should assuage your grief.

⁶ Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.

³ Strengthen the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. ⁴ Say to those that are of a fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not: Behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you."

¹⁰ And behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

³² But I have prayed for you, that your faith does not fail: And when you are converted, strengthen your brethren."

⁴³ Moreover an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.

²³ And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.

⁹ And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you: For My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will most gladly rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: For when I am weak, then I am strong.

¹⁶ that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;

¹³ I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

¹¹ strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, with all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

⁶ Be strong and of a good courage: For to this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them. ⁷ Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you: Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

⁹ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

²³ And the LORD said to him, "Peace be to you; fear not: You shall not die.

⁹ Therefore Eli said to Samuel, "Go, lie down: And it shall be, if He calls you, that you shall say, 'Speak, LORD; for Your servant hears.' " So Samuel went and lay down in his place. ¹⁰ And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, "Samuel, Samuel." Then Samuel answered, "Speak, for Your servant hears."

³ In the day when I cried You answered me, and strengthened me with strength in my soul.

¹ But now thus says the LORD that created you, O Jacob, and He that formed you, O Israel, "Fear not: For I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are Mine. ² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle on you.

²³ At the beginning of your supplications the commandment came forth, and I have come to show you; for you are greatly beloved: Therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

¹¹ And he said to me, "O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright: For to you I am now sent." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. ¹² Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel: For from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words.

⁴ Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel,' says the LORD; 'and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land', says the LORD, 'and work: For I am with you', says the LORD of hosts:

⁹ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'Let your hands be strong, all you that hear these words by the mouth of the prophets in these days, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

¹³ And it shall come to pass, that as you all were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; to that degree I will save you, and all of you shall be a blessing: Fear not, but let your hands be strong.'

³⁶ Moreover, as they spoke in this manner, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, "Peace be to you." ³⁷ But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them, "Why are you troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

³ Therefore his sisters sent to Him, saying, "Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick."

⁵ Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

³⁶ Then the Jews said, "Behold how He loved him!"

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you: Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

⁹ As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you: Continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love. ¹¹ These things I have spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. ¹² This is My commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ You are My friends, if you do whatever I command you.

³³ These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

²⁶ Therefore, when Jesus saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!"

¹³ Watch, stand fast in the faith, carry through like men, be strong.

⁹ And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you: For My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will most gladly rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.

¹ You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

³⁶ Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty and five thousand: And when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

⁶ After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had four wings of a fowl upon its back; the beast also had four heads; and dominion was given to it.

⁵ And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and did not touch the ground: And the he-goat had a notable horn between his eyes. ⁶ And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran to him in the fury of his power. ⁷ And I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and broke his two horns: And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: And there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. ⁸ Therefore the he-goat waxed very great: And when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and in its place came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

²¹ And the rough goat is the king of Greece: And the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

¹³ But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days: But lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained with the kings of Persia.

² And now I will show you the truth. Behold, there shall yet stand up three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than all of them: And by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece. ³ And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. ⁴ And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his descendants, nor according to his dominion with which he ruled: For his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others besides those.

²³ And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he did not give glory to God: And he was eaten by worms, and gave up the ghost.

²² "Let them bring them forth, and show us what shall happen: Let them show the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare to us things to come. ²³ Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods: Yes, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

⁸ Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. ⁹ Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: Or let them hear, and say, 'It is truth.'

²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

¹ "Also I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him. ² And now I will show you the truth. Behold, there shall yet stand up three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than all of them: And by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece. ³ And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. ⁴ And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his descendants, nor according to his dominion with which he ruled: For his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others besides those. ⁵ And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion. ⁶ And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: But she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: But she shall be given up, and those who brought her, and he who begat her, and he who strengthened her in these times. ⁷ But out of a branch of her roots one shall stand up in his estate, who shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail: ⁸ And shall also carry captives into Egypt, their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north. ⁹ So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land. ¹⁰ But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: And one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: Then he shall return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress. ¹¹ And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: And he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand. ¹² And when he has taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many tens of thousands: But he shall not be strengthened by it.

⁷ Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

¹⁵ And the words of the prophets agree with this; as it is written,

¹⁸ "Known to God are all His works from the beginning of the world.
