¹ THEN I saw an angel descending from heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

³¹ They begged him not to bid them go away into the abyss.

⁴ For if God did not spare angels that had sinned, but thrust them down to Tartarus and committed them to pits of darkness to be kept for judgment,

⁶ and angels who did not keep their own rank, but left their own abode, he has kept for the judgment of the great day in everlasting chains under blackness of darkness.
