¹ And having called to him his twelve disciples, he gave to them power over unclean spirits, so as to be casting them out, and to be healing every sickness, and every malady.

¹³ 'And may You not lead us to temptation, but deliver us from the evil, because Yours is the reign, and the power, and the glory -- to the ages. Amen.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, 'Verily I say to you, that you who did follow me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man may sit upon a throne of his glory, shall sit -- you also -- upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel;

²⁰ And evening having come, he was reclining (at meat) with the twelve,

⁴⁷ And while he is yet speaking, lo, Judas, one of the twelve did come, and with him a great multitude, with swords and sticks, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

¹⁸ And having come near, Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth; ¹⁹ having gone, then, disciple all the nations, (baptizing them -- to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

¹³ And he goes up to the mountain, and does call near whom he willed, and they went away to him; ¹⁴ and he appointed twelve, that they may be with him, and that he may send them forth to preach, ¹⁵ and to have power to heal the sicknesses, and to cast out the demons.

⁷ and he does call near the twelve, and he began to send them forth two by two, and he was giving them power over the unclean spirits, ⁸ and he commanded them that they may take nothing for the way, except a staff only -- no scrip, no bread, no brass in the girdle, ⁹ but having been shod with sandals, and you may not put on two coats. ¹⁰ And he said to them, 'Whenever you may enter into a house, there remain till you may depart thence, ¹¹ and as many as may not receive you, nor hear you, going out thence, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony to them; verily I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom or Gomorrah in a day of judgment than for that city.' ¹² And having gone forth they were preaching that men might reform, ¹³ and many demons they were casting out, and they were anointing with oil many infirm, and they were healing them.

¹⁷ 'And signs shall accompany those believing these things; in my name demons they shall cast out; with new tongues they shall speak; ¹⁸ serpents they shall take up; and if any deadly thing they may drink, it shall not hurt them; on the ailing they shall lay hands, and they shall be well.'

¹³ and when it became day, he called near his disciples, and having chosen from them twelve, whom also he named apostles,

¹ And having called together his twelve disciples, he gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to cure sicknesses, ² and he sent them to proclaim the reign of God, and to heal the ailing. ³ And he said unto them, 'Take nothing for the way, neither staff, nor scrip, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats each; ⁴ and into whatever house you may enter, there remain, and thence depart; ⁵ and as many as may not receive you, going forth from that city, even the dust from your feet shake off, for a testimony against them.' ⁶ And going forth they were going through the several villages, proclaiming good news, and healing everywhere.

¹⁹ lo, I give to you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you;

¹⁵ for I will give to you a mouth and wisdom that all your opposers shall not be able to refute or resist.

⁴⁹ 'And, lo, I do send the promise of my Father upon you, but you -- abide you in the city of Jerusalem till you be clothed with power from on high.'

²⁷ John answered and said, 'A man is not able to receive anything, if it may not have been given him from the heaven;

³⁵ the Father does love the Son, and all things has given into his hand;

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, 'Did not I choose you -- the twelve? and of you -- one is a devil.

² according as You did give to him authority over all flesh, that -- all that You have given to him -- he may give to them life age-during;

²¹ Jesus, therefore, said to them again, 'Peace to you; according as the Father has sent me, I also send you;' ²² and this having said, he breathed on them, and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit; ²³ if of any you may loose the sins, they are loosed to them; if of any you may retain, they have been retained.'

⁸ but you shall receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the end of the earth.'

¹⁵ and the Prince of the life you did kill, whom God did raise out of the dead, of which we are witnesses; ¹⁶ and on the faith of his name, this one whom you see and have known, his name made strong, even the faith that is through him did give to him this perfect soundness before you all.

¹⁵ and the evil spirit, answering, said, 'Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with; and you -- who are you?'

¹ And a great sign was seen in the heaven, a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars,

¹² having also a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written thereon, which are those of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel, ¹³ at the east three gates, at the north three gates, at the south three gates, at the west three gates; ¹⁴ and the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
