¹ Many teachers become not, my brethren, having known that greater judgment we shall receive,

¹ 'Judge not, that you may not be judged, ² for in what judgment you judge, you shall be judged, and in what measure you measure, it shall be measured to you.

¹¹ and the Pharisees having seen, said to his disciples, 'Why with the tax-gatherers and sinners does your teacher eat?'

²⁴ 'A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his lord;

⁸ 'And you -- you may not be called Rabbi, for one is your director -- the Christ, and all you are brethren; ⁹ and you may not call any your father on the earth, for one is your Father, who is in the heavens, ¹⁰ nor may you be called directors, for one is your director -- the Christ.

¹³ 'Woo to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the reign of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor those going in do you permit to enter.

³⁷ 'And judge not, and you may not be judged; condemn not, and you may not be condemned; release, and you shall be released.

⁴⁷ 'And that servant, who having known his lord's will, and not having prepared, nor having gone according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes, ⁴⁸ and he who, not having known, and having done things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few; and to every one to whom much was given, much shall be required from him; and to whom they did commit much, more abundantly they will ask of him.

² and having called him, he said to him, What is this I hear about you? render the account of your stewardship, for you may not any longer be steward.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to him, 'You art the teacher of Israel -- and these things you do not know!

¹ And there were certain in Antioch, in the assembly there, prophets and teachers; both Barnabas, and Simeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also -- Herod the tetrarch's foster-brother -- and Saul;

²⁶ therefore I take you to witness this day, that I am clear from the blood of all, ²⁷ for I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God.

²⁰ an instructor of foolish ones, a teacher of babes, having the form of the knowledge and of the truth in the law. ²¹ You, then, who are teaching another, yourself do you not teach?

² and as to the rest, it is required in the stewards that one may be found faithful, ³ and to me it is for a very little thing that by you I may be judged, or by man's day, but not even myself do I judge, ⁴ for of nothing to myself have I been conscious, but not in this have I been declared right -- and he who is discerning me is the Lord: ⁵ so, then, nothing before the time judge you, till the Lord may come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of the darkness, and will manifest the counsels of the hearts, and then the praise shall come to each from God.

²⁹ for he who is eating and drinking unworthily, judgment to himself he does eat and drink -- not discerning the body of the Lord. ³⁰ Because of this, among you many are weak and sickly, and sleep do many; ³¹ for if ourselves we were discerning, we would not be being judged, ³² and being judged by the Lord, we are chastened, that with the world we may not be condemned;

²⁸ And some, indeed, did God set in the assembly, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, afterwards powers, afterwards gifts of healings, helpings, governings, divers kinds of tongues;

¹⁰ for all of us it behooves to be manifested before the tribunal of the Christ, that each one may receive the things done through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or evil;

¹¹ and He gave some as apostles\'7bcouriers, ones dispatched\'7d, and some as prophets, and some as proclaimers of good news, and some as shepherds and teachers,

⁷ willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they asseverate,

⁷ in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle -- truth I say in Christ, I do not lie -- a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.

¹¹ to which I was placed a preacher and an apostle, and a teacher of nations,

¹⁷ Be obedient to those leading you, and be subject, for these do watch for your souls, as about to give account, that with joy they may do this, and not sighing, for this is unprofitable to you.

³ neither as exercising lordship over the heritages, but patterns becoming of the flock,
