¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all the ungodliness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by unrighteousness;

⁴⁶ The lord of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at a hour he is not aware of, and will cut him in pieces, and will assign him a place with the unbelievers. ⁴⁷ And that servant, who knew his lord's will, and did not prepare himself, and did not do his will, shall be beaten with many blows.

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. ²¹ But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be shown to have been done through God.

²⁴ And after some days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁵ And as he reasoned with them about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was frightened, and answered, Go your way for now; when I have a convenient opportunity, I will call for you.

¹⁹ Because that which may be known about God is evident to them; for God has shown it to them.

²⁸ And as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

³² Who knowing the just decree of God, that those who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do these things, but applaud those who practice them.

³ And do you think, O man, that when you pass judgement on those who do such things, yet do the same yourself, that you shall escape the judgment of God?

¹⁵ They show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or perhaps defending them.) ¹⁶ On that day God shall judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, as my gospel proclaims. ¹⁷ Behold, if you call yourself a Jew, and rely upon the law, and boast of your relationship with God, ¹⁸ And know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law; ¹⁹ And are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light for those who are in darkness, ²⁰ An instructor for the foolish, a teacher of infants, having the embodiment of knowledge and truth in the law: ²¹ You, therefore, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? you who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? ²² You who say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? you who abhor idols, do you rob temples? ²³ You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonour God by breaking the law?

¹⁵ Because the law brings wrath: but where there is no law, there is no transgression.

⁶ For when we were still without strength, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

⁹ Having been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him.

¹³ Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness: but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

⁶ Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

⁶ For because of these things the wrath of God is coming:

¹⁰ And with all wicked deception for those who perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

¹ Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ² Taught by hypocritical liars; who have their consciences seared as with a hot iron;
