Romans 12 Cross References - RKJNT

1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect. 3 For through the grace given to me, I say to every man among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according to the measure of faith God has given him. 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function: 5 So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually are members one of another. 6 Having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, according to the proportion of our faith; 7 If service, in our serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; 8 Or he who exhorts, in exhortation: he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be genuine. Abhor that which is evil; cling to that which is good. 10 Be devoted to one another with brotherly love; honour one another more than yourselves; 11 Not lacking in zeal; aglow with the spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; faithful in prayer; 13 Contributing to the saints who are in need; practicing hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you: bless, and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own conceits. 17 Do not repay any man evil for evil, but take thought of those things that are right in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as it lies with you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place for the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord. 20 Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire upon his head. 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Luke 18:1-43

1 And he spoke a parable to them to show that men ought always to pray, and not loose heart; 2 Saying, There was a judge in a city, who did not fear God or respect man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she kept coming to him, saying, Give me justice against my adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said to himself, Though I do not fear God or respect man; 5 Yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her justice, lest by her continual coming she wear me out. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says. 7 And shall not God vindicate his elect, who cry day and night to him, and will he delay long with them? 8 I tell you that he will vindicate them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth? 9 And he spoke this parable to certain people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax gatherer. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax gatherer.

Luke 18:11-43

11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax gatherer. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the tax gatherer, standing far off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but beat upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me, a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one who exalts himself shall be abased; and he who humbles himself shall be exalted. 15 And they also brought infants to him, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them to him, and said, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them: for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 17 Truly I say to you, Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall by no means enter it. 18 And a certain ruler asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19 And Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good? no one is good, except God alone. 20 You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour your father and your mother. 21 And he said, All these I have kept from my youth up. 22 Now when Jesus heard this, he said to him, You still lack one thing: sell all that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. 26 And those who heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27 And he said, Things that are impossible with men are possible with God. 28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed you. 29 And he said to them, Truly I say to you, There is no man who has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 Who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the world to come, life everlasting. 31 Then he took the twelve aside, and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. 32 For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully treated, and spit upon: 33 And they shall flog him, and put him to death: and on the third day he shall rise again. 34 And they understood none of these things: this saying was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things which were spoken. 35 And it came to pass, that when he came near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road begging: 36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. 37 And they told him, Jesus of Nazareth is passing by. 38 And he cried out, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me. 39 And those who led the way rebuked him, telling him to hold his peace: but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me. 40 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be brought to him: and when he had come near, he asked him, 41 What do you want me to do for you? And he said, Lord, I want to receive my sight. 42 And Jesus said to him, Receive your sight: your faith has healed you. 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

24 And there was also a dispute among them as to which of them should be accounted the greatest. 25 And he said to them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and those who exercise authority over them are called benefactors. 26 But not so with you: but he who is greatest among you, let him be as the youngest; and he who rules, as he who serves. 27 For which is greater, he who reclines at table, or he who serves? is it not he who reclines at table? but I am among you as one who serves.

Romans 12:8

8 Or he who exhorts, in exhortation: he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Romans 12:13

13 Contributing to the saints who are in need; practicing hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you: bless, and do not curse.

Romans 12:16

16 Be in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own conceits. 17 Do not repay any man evil for evil, but take thought of those things that are right in the sight of all men.

Romans 12:19

19 Dearly beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place for the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.

Romans 12:21

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 13:4

4 For he is a minister of God for your good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain: for he is a minister of God to execute wrath upon the one who does evil.

Romans 13:6

6 For this reason you also pay taxes: for they are God's ministers, attending continually to this very service. 7 Therefore, give to all men what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; revenue to whom revenue; respect to whom respect; honour to whom honour.

Romans 13:14

14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its lusts.

Romans 14:16

16 Therefore, do not let your good be spoken of as evil: 17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:19

19 Therefore, let us follow after the things which make for peace, and things which edify one another.

Romans 15:4

4 For whatever things were written in the past were written for our instruction, that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures, we might have hope. 5 Now may the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, according to Christ Jesus:

Romans 15:13

13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:15-16

15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as a reminder, because of the grace given to me by God, 16 That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:16-16

16 That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:25-28

25 But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. 26 For it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem. 27 It has truly pleased them to do this; and indeed they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is to minister to them in material things. 28 Therefore, when I have completed this, and have made certain they have received this fruit, I will come visit you on my way to Spain.

Romans 15:30

30 Now I urge you, brethren, for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

1 Corinthians 1:5-7

5 That in everything you have been enriched by him, in all speech, and in all knowledge; 6 So the testimony about Christ has been confirmed in you: 7 Therefore you lack no spiritual gift; as you await the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Corinthians 1:10

10 Now I urge you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 3:10

10 According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds upon it. But let every man take heed how he builds upon it.

1 Corinthians 3:18

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks he is wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He catches the wise in their own craftiness.

1 Corinthians 4:6-7

6 And these things, brethren, I have applied to myself and Apollos for your sakes; that through us you might learn not to go beyond that which is written, that none of you might become puffed up in favour of one against another. 7 For who makes you superior to another? and what do you have that you did not receive? now if you did receive it, why do you boast, as if you had not received it?

1 Corinthians 4:7-7

7 For who makes you superior to another? and what do you have that you did not receive? now if you did receive it, why do you boast, as if you had not received it? 8 Already you are full, already you are rich, you have become as kings without us: and I would that you had become kings, that we might also reign with you.

1 Corinthians 4:10

10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are honoured, but we are despised.

1 Corinthians 4:12-13

12 And we labour, working with our own hands: when reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure it: 13 When slandered, we answer kindly; we have been made the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, even to this day.

1 Corinthians 5:7-8

7 Clean out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you really are unleavened. For Christ our passover has been sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 6:5

5 I speak this to your shame. Can it be that there is not a wise man among you who shall be able to judge between his brethren? 6 But brother goes to law against brother, and that before the unbelievers. 7 Now, it is utterly a defeat for you that you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather suffer the wrong? why do you not rather allow yourselves to be defrauded?

1 Corinthians 6:13-20

13 Food is for the belly, and the belly for food: but God shall destroy both of them. The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14 And God has raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a prostitute? Never. 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? for the two, he says, shall become one flesh. 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him. 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside his body; but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 7:7

7 For I wish that all men were as I am. But every man has his proper gift from God, one of this type, and another of that.

1 Corinthians 7:15

15 But if the unbelieving one departs, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: for God has called us to peace.

1 Corinthians 7:17

17 But as the Lord has assigned to every man, as God has called every one, so let him walk. And this is my rule in all the churches.

1 Corinthians 7:22

22 For he who is called in the Lord while a slave, is the Lord's freedman: likewise he who is called while free, is Christ's slave.

1 Corinthians 8:2

2 And if any man thinks that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.

1 Corinthians 10:17

17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

1 Corinthians 10:33

33 Just as I try to please all men in all things, not seeking my own good, but that of the many, that they may be saved.

1 Corinthians 12:4

4 Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

4 Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are various kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 And there are various kinds of working, but it is the same God who works all of them in all men. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each man for the common good. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by that one Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these things are by one and the same Spirit, who distributes to every man as he wills. 12 For just as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body: so it is with Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slave or free; and have all been made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many.

1 Corinthians 12:20

20 But as it is, there are many members, yet one body.

1 Corinthians 12:26

26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.

1 Corinthians 12:27-28

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it. 28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that workers of miracles, then those with gifts of healing, helpers, administrators, and those who speak in different tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:28-31

28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that workers of miracles, then those with gifts of healing, helpers, administrators, and those who speak in different tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:28

28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that workers of miracles, then those with gifts of healing, helpers, administrators, and those who speak in different tongues. 29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the best gifts: and yet I will show you a more excellent way.

1 Corinthians 13:2

2 And if I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so that I can remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5

4 Love is patient, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast, and is not arrogant; 5 It is not rude, does not insist on its own way, is not easily provoked, it keeps no account of wrongs suffered;

1 Corinthians 13:13

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 14:1

1 Follow after love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:3-5

3 But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

1 Corinthians 14:3

3 But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 4 He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself; but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I would like for you all to speak in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy: for greater is he who prophesies than he who speaks with tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.

1 Corinthians 14:24

24 But if all prophesy, and one comes in who does not believe, or is ungifted, he is convicted by all, he is judged by all:

1 Corinthians 14:29

29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.

1 Corinthians 14:31-32

31 For you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be encouraged. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

1 Corinthians 15:10

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than all of them: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1 Corinthians 16:1-2

1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have directed the churches of Galatia, so you do also. 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay aside and save something, as he has prospered, that there need be no collections when I come.

1 Corinthians 16:15

15 I urge you, brethren, (you know that those of the house of Stephanas were the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to serving the saints,)

2 Corinthians 1:12

12 For our boast is in this: the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and still more toward you.

2 Corinthians 2:3

3 And I wrote this same thing to you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from those who ought to make me rejoice; for I had confidence in all of you, that my joy would be the joy of all of you.

2 Corinthians 4:1

1 Therefore, since we have this ministry by God's mercy, we do not loose heart;

2 Corinthians 4:4

4 For the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest they should see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.

2 Corinthians 4:16

16 For this reason we do not loose heart; but though our outer man perish, yet the inner man is renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

14 For the love of Christ controls us; because we are convinced that one died for all, therefore all died: 15 And he died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again.

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.

2 Corinthians 5:20

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were making his appeal through us: we beg you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 6:1

1 We then, as workers together with him, urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

2 Corinthians 6:6

6 By purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in unfeigned love,

2 Corinthians 6:14-17

14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what partnership does righteousness have with unrighteousness? and what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 And what harmony has Christ with Belial? or what does he who believes have in common with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for we are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will live in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing; and I will welcome you,

2 Corinthians 8:1-9

1 And now, brethren, we want you to know of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

2 Corinthians 8:1-4

1 And now, brethren, we want you to know of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2 For during a great test of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty overflowed in a wealth of liberality.

2 Corinthians 8:2-4

2 For during a great test of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty overflowed in a wealth of liberality. 3 For I bear witness that they gave according to their ability, yea, and beyond their ability, and of their own accord;

2 Corinthians 8:3-4

3 For I bear witness that they gave according to their ability, yea, and beyond their ability, and of their own accord; 4 Begging us most insistently that we would allow them the privilege of taking part in this service to the saints.

2 Corinthians 8:4-4

4 Begging us most insistently that we would allow them the privilege of taking part in this service to the saints. 5 And this they did, not as we expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God. 6 So we urged Titus, since he had already begun, that he would also finish this gracious work among you. 7 Therefore, as you excel in everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all earnestness, and in your love for us, see that you excel in this gracious work as well. 8 I do not speak this as a commandment, but to use the zeal of others to test the sincerity of your own love.

2 Corinthians 8:8

8 I do not speak this as a commandment, but to use the zeal of others to test the sincerity of your own love. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that through his poverty you might become rich.

2 Corinthians 8:12

12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is acceptable, according to what a man has, and not according to that he does not have.

2 Corinthians 8:20-21

20 We intend that that no man should blame us about this abundant gift which we are administering: 21 For we take care to do what is honest, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

2 Corinthians 9:1

1 Now regarding this ministry to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:

2 Corinthians 9:7

7 Every man must do as he has decided in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion: for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:11

11 You will be enriched in everything, so you can be generous, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 12 For the performance of this service not only supplies the wants of the saints, but also overflows in many thanksgivings to God. 13 Because of the proof given by this service, they will glorify God because of your obedience to the gospel of Christ, which you profess, and for your liberal contribution to them, and to all;

2 Corinthians 10:1

1 Now I, Paul, urge you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who am meek in your presence, but bold when I am absent from you.

2 Corinthians 11:3

3 But I fear, lest, as the serpent deceived Eve through his cunning, so your minds will be led astray from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:29

29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is made to fall, and I do not burn inwardly?

2 Corinthians 12:7

7 And lest I should exalt myself beyond measure through the abundance of revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger from Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted beyond measure. 8 I begged the Lord thrice, that this might depart from me.

2 Corinthians 12:13

13 For in what way were you less favoured than other churches, except that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong.

2 Corinthians 13:11

11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Aim to be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Galatians 1:4

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father:

Galatians 2:8-9

8 (For he who worked effectively in Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised, also worked in me for the Gentiles:) 9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who were reputed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship; that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.

Galatians 5:6

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; but faith which works through love.

Galatians 5:13

13 For, brethren, you have been called to liberty; only do not use your liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but in love serve one another.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Galatians 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 Gentleness, self-control: against such things there is no law.

Galatians 6:3

3 For if a man thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Galatians 6:6

6 Let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.

Galatians 6:10

10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Ephesians 1:18

18 That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened; so you may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 1:23

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all things everywhere.

Ephesians 2:2

2 In which you walked in times past, according to the ways of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.

Ephesians 2:4-10

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in transgressions, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) 6 And has raised us up with him, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might show the incomparable riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not because of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand for us to do.

Ephesians 3:2

2 If indeed you have heard of the stewardship of the grace of God which was given to me for you:

Ephesians 3:4

4 When you read this, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

Ephesians 3:7-8

7 Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the working of his power. 8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, was this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Ephesians 4:1

1 Therefore I, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

Ephesians 4:1-3

1 Therefore I, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:3

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope in your calling;

Ephesians 4:7-13

7 But to every one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8 Therefore it says, When he ascended on high, he led a host of captives, and gave gifts to men. 9 (In saying that he ascended, what does that mean but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is the same one who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave some as apostles; and some as prophets; and some as evangelists; and some as pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4:11

11 And he gave some as apostles; and some as prophets; and some as evangelists; and some as pastors and teachers; 12 For the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ: 13 Until we all attain the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Ephesians 4:15-16

15 But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all things into him, who is the head, that is, Christ: 16 From whom the whole body, fitted and joined together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of every part, causes the body to grow, for the building up of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:16-16

16 From whom the whole body, fitted and joined together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of every part, causes the body to grow, for the building up of itself in love. 17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as other Gentiles walk, in the futility of their minds, 18 Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their hearts: 19 Who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to licentiousness, greedy to practice all kinds of uncleanness. 20 But you did not learn Christ that way;

Ephesians 4:22-24

22 Then put off the old man, which belongs to your former life, which is corrupt through deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your minds; 24 And put on the new man, who, in the likeness of God, is created in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore, putting away lying, let every man speak the truth with his neighbour: for we are members of one another.

Ephesians 4:28

28 Let him who stole, steal no more: but rather let him labour, doing with his hands that which is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.

Ephesians 5:9-10

9 (For the fruit of the Spirit consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 And try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

Ephesians 5:10-10

10 And try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

Ephesians 5:17

17 Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:23

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, his body: and he himself is its saviour.

Ephesians 5:30

30 Because we are members of his body.

Ephesians 6:5

5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;

Ephesians 6:5-8

5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; 6 Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; 7 Doing service with a good will, as to the Lord, and not to men: 8 Knowing that whatever good thing any man does, he shall receive the same back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

Ephesians 6:18-19

18 Praying always in the Spirit with all manner of prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert in it with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints; 19 And for me, that words may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Philippians 1:20

20 According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be ashamed, but that with all boldness, now as always, Christ shall be exalted in my body, whether by life, or by death.

Philippians 1:27

27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear of you, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Philippians 2:1-5

1 If, therefore, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation in love, if any fellowship in the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2 Fulfill my joy by being likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind.

Philippians 2:2-3

2 Fulfill my joy by being likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself.

Philippians 2:3-8

3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself.

Philippians 2:3

3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself.

Philippians 2:3-3

3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself. 4 Let each of you not only look to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Philippians 2:4-8

4 Let each of you not only look to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Let this attitude be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:5-8

5 Let this attitude be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, though being in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in form as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Philippians 2:17

17 Even if I am poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad, and rejoice with you all.

Philippians 2:17-18

17 Even if I am poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad, and rejoice with you all. 18 In the same way, you also should be glad, and rejoice with me.

Philippians 2:26

26 For he longed after you all, and was full of distress, because you had heard that he had been sick.

Philippians 2:28

28 Therefore, I sent him the more eagerly, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and I may be less anxious.

Philippians 3:1

1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is no trouble, and is a safeguard for you.

Philippians 3:15

15 Therefore, let us, as many as are mature, be of this mind: and if in anything you are of a different mind, God shall also reveal this to you. 16 Only let us hold true to that which we have already attained.

Philippians 4:2

2 I urge Euodia, and urge Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.

Philippians 4:4

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be anxious about nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are admirable; if there is any virtue, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which you have learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Philippians 4:11-13

11 Not that I speak from want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, to be content. 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound: in all circumstances I have learned how to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:18

18 But I have received all, and abound: I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and well-pleasing to God.

Colossians 1:4

4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have for all the saints,

Colossians 1:11

11 Strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, with all endurance and patience with joyfulness;

Colossians 1:21-22

21 And you who were at one time alienated and enemies in your minds because of wicked deeds, 22 He has now reconciled in his body of flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable in his sight:

Colossians 1:24

24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ for his body's sake, which is the church:

Colossians 1:27

27 To whom God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the riches of the glory of this mystery; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 For this I labour, striving according to his power, which works mightily within me.

Colossians 1:29-29

29 For this I labour, striving according to his power, which works mightily within me.

Colossians 2:13

13 And you, being dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has made alive together with him, having forgiven us all transgressions;

Colossians 2:19

19 And not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, supported and knit together by its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

Colossians 3:10

10 And have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of the one who created him.

Colossians 3:14-15

14 And above all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to this; and be thankful.

Colossians 3:22

22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in all things; not as an outward show, as pleasers of men; but with singleness of heart, fearing the Lord:

Colossians 3:22-24

22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in all things; not as an outward show, as pleasers of men; but with singleness of heart, fearing the Lord: 23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men; 24 Knowing that from the Lord you shall receive your reward, the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians 4:1

1 Masters, give to your slaves that which is just and fair; knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. 2 Continue in prayer, and be watchful in it with thanksgiving;

Colossians 4:5

5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, making the most of the time.

Colossians 4:12

12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, greets you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that you may stand firm and fully assured in all the will of God.

Colossians 4:12-13

12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, greets you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that you may stand firm and fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness, that he has a great zeal for you, and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

Colossians 4:17

17 And say to Archippus, Take heed that you fulfill the ministry which you have received in the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 1:3

3 Always remembering your work of faith, and labour of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father;

1 Thessalonians 2:3

3 For our exhortation does not spring from error, or impurity, or guile:

1 Thessalonians 2:8

8 So having a yearning affection for you, we were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.

1 Thessalonians 4:1

1 Furthermore, we urge you, brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have learned from us how you ought to walk and to please God, as indeed you are doing, so you would do more and more.

1 Thessalonians 4:3

3 For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you should abstain from sexual immorality,

1 Thessalonians 4:6

6 That no man might transgress and defraud his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, as we also have told you and warned you.

1 Thessalonians 4:9

9 But regarding brotherly love you do not need any one to write to you: for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another. 10 And indeed you do love all the brethren who are in all Macedonia: but we urge you, brethren, that you do so more and more; 11 And that you aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12 That you may behave properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.

1 Thessalonians 4:12

12 That you may behave properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.

1 Thessalonians 5:8

8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

1 Thessalonians 5:12

12 And we urge you, brethren, to respect those who labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

1 Thessalonians 5:12-14

12 And we urge you, brethren, to respect those who labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 And esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

1 Thessalonians 5:13

13 And esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are idle or unruly, encourage the timid, support the weak, be patient toward all. 15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil; but always seek that which is good, both for yourselves, and for all men. 16 Rejoice always. 17 Pray without ceasing.

1 Thessalonians 5:20

20 Do not despise prophesying. 21 Test all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all forms of evil.

2 Thessalonians 1:3

3 We ought always to thank God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith grows abundantly, and the love of every one of you for each other grows greater; 4 So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all the persecutions and tribulations which you endure:

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who has loved us, and has given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17 Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.

2 Thessalonians 3:5

5 May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the steadfastness of Christ. 6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who is idle and does not walk according to the tradition which you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us: for we were not idle among you; 8 Nor did we eat any man's bread without paying; but with labour and toil we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you: 9 Not because we do not have the right, but to make ourselves an example for you to follow. 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this command: if any will not work, neither shall he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some among you who walk in idleness, not working at all, mere busybodies. 12 Now those who are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that they work quietly, and eat their own bread.

1 Timothy 1:5

5 Now the aim of this commandment is love from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and a sincere faith:

1 Timothy 1:14

14 And the grace of our Lord overflowed for me, along with the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 2:3

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1 Timothy 2:7

7 And for this I have been appointed a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ and am not lying;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

1 Timothy 2:9

9 In like manner also, let women adorn themselves in proper apparel, modestly and soberly; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly attire;

1 Timothy 2:15

15 Yet women shall be kept safe through childbirth, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with propriety.

1 Timothy 3:2

2 An overseer must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, respectable, given to hospitality, able to teach;

1 Timothy 3:4-5

4 One who rules his own house well, having his children under control, commanding their respect in all ways; 5 (For if a man does not know how to manage his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

1 Timothy 4:13

13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of scripture, to exhortation, to doctrine.

1 Timothy 4:16

16 Take heed to yourself, and to your teaching; continue in them: for in doing this you shall save both yourself, and those who hear you.

1 Timothy 5:4

4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home, and to repay their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.

1 Timothy 5:10

10 Having a reputation for good works; if she has brought up her children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has devoted herself to every good work.

1 Timothy 5:13

13 Besides, they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 14 Therefore, I want the younger women to marry, bear children, guide the house, and give the adversary no occasion to speak reproachfully.

1 Timothy 5:17

17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in preaching and teaching.

1 Timothy 6:6-9

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and we can carry nothing out. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. 9 But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge men into ruin and destruction.

1 Timothy 6:11

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness.

2 Timothy 2:2

2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2 Timothy 2:22

22 Flee youthful lusts: and follow righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

2 Timothy 2:24

24 And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome; but kind to all, able to teach, forbearing,

2 Timothy 3:10

10 But you have fully known my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,

2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for all good works.

2 Timothy 4:2

2 Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all patience and instruction.

Titus 1:8

8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good, sensible, just, holy, self-controlled;

Titus 2:2

2 Urge the older men to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in steadfastness.

Titus 2:4

4 That they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Titus 2:4-5

4 That they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be sensible, chaste, workers at home, kind, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be maligned. 6 Likewise, urge the young men to be self-controlled.

Titus 2:9-10

9 Urge servants to be obedient to their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not to talk back, 10 Not to pilfer, but showing entire and true fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

Titus 2:12

12 Teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires, and live sensibly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

Titus 3:4-8

4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, 5 He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit;

Titus 3:5

5 He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit; 6 Whom he poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs, having the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:7

7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs, having the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a faithful saying; and I want you to affirm these things constantly, that those who have believed in God might be careful to engage in good works. These things are good and profitable for men.

Philemon 1:7

7 For we have great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

Hebrews 1:9

9 You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.

Hebrews 3:6

6 But Christ was faithful as a son over his own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and our joyful hope.

Hebrews 5:7

7 In the days of his flesh, he offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his piety.

Hebrews 6:10-11

10 For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget the work and love which you have shown for his name's sake in having ministered to the saints, as you continue to do.

Hebrews 6:10

10 For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget the work and love which you have shown for his name's sake in having ministered to the saints, as you continue to do. 11 And we desire that every one of you show the same diligence in realizing the full assurance of hope until the end: 12 That you may not grow slothful, but be followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:15

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Hebrews 6:17-19

17 Therefore God, wanting to show more clearly to the heirs of the promise the immutable nature of his purpose, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us might have a strong encouragement. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, which enters within the veil;

Hebrews 10:20-22

20 By a new and living way which he has opened for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And since we have a high priest over the house of God, 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:25

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

Hebrews 10:30

30 For we know him who has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Hebrews 10:32

32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle in the face of afflictions;

Hebrews 10:36

36 For you have need of endurance, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

Hebrews 12:1

1 Therefore, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily entangle us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Hebrews 12:14

14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Hebrews 12:28

28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us be grateful, and worship God acceptably, with reverence and awe:

Hebrews 13:1

1 Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers: for by so doing some have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember those who are in prison, as if in prison with them; and those who suffer adversity, since you yourselves are also in the body.

Hebrews 13:5

5 Let your lives be free from the love of money; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.

Hebrews 13:7

7 Remember those who lead you, who have spoken to you the word of God: consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

Hebrews 13:15-16

15 Therefore, through him let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. 16 Do not forget to do good and to share: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:16

16 Do not forget to do good and to share: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 17 Obey those who lead you, and submit to them: for they watch over your souls as those who must give account. Let it be a joyful task for them, not a sad one: for that would be unprofitable for you.

Hebrews 13:22

22 And I urge you, brethren, bear with this word of exhortation: for I have written to you a letter of few words.

Hebrews 13:24

24 Greet all those who lead you, and all the saints. Those in Italy greet you.

James 1:3-4

3 Knowing that the trying of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1:27

27 This is pure and undefiled religion before God the Father: To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted by the world.

James 2:5-6

5 Listen, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him? 6 But you have despised the poor. Is it not the rich who oppress you, and drag you into court?

James 2:15-16

15 If a brother or sister is without clothing, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you says to him, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled; yet you do not give him the things which are necessary for the body; of what benefit is that?

James 3:10

10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

James 3:13-17

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? by his good life let him show forth works done with the humility of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish. 16 For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is confusion and every evil work.

James 3:16-18

16 For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17-18

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

James 4:4

4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? whoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

James 4:6

6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

James 5:7

7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and is patient for it, until it receives the early and the late rains.

James 5:10-11

10 My brethren, take the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering, and of patience. 11 Behold, we count as happy those who endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the outcome the Lord brought about; that the Lord is full of compassion, and of tender mercy.

James 5:15-16

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

James 5:16-16

16 Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

1 Peter 1:3-8

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an imperishable and undefiled inheritance, that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are guarded by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a time you may have to suffer various trials: 7 That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold, which perishes, though it is tested by fire, might be found to result in praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and though you do not see him now, yet you believe in him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy:

1 Peter 1:13

13 Therefore gird up your minds, be sober, and fix your hope fully on the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 Live as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the lusts of your former ignorance:

1 Peter 1:18

18 For you know that you were not redeemed with perishable things, such as silver and gold, from the vain way of life you inherited from your fathers;

1 Peter 1:22

22 Since you have purified your souls by obeying the truth, so you have a sincere love of the brethren; love one another fervently from the heart.

1 Peter 2:3

3 Since you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

1 Peter 2:5

5 You also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:10-12

10 In times past you were not a people, but now you are the people of God: once you had not obtained mercy, but now you have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers, abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul. 12 Conduct yourselves righteously among the Gentiles: that, though they speak against you as evildoers, they may behold your good works and glorify God on the day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:12

12 Conduct yourselves righteously among the Gentiles: that, though they speak against you as evildoers, they may behold your good works and glorify God on the day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:17

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1 Peter 2:19-20

19 For this is commendable, if for the sake of conscience toward God, a man endures sorrow while suffering wrongfully. 20 For what credit is there, if, when you are beaten for your wrongs, you endure it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is commendable before God.

1 Peter 2:20-20

20 For what credit is there, if, when you are beaten for your wrongs, you endure it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For to this you were called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps. 22 He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth; 23 And when he was reviled, he did not revile in return; and when he suffered, he did not threaten; but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

1 Peter 3:8-9

8 Finally, be of one mind, have sympathy for one another, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble.

1 Peter 3:8

8 Finally, be of one mind, have sympathy for one another, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble. 9 Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult: but instead with blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you should inherit a blessing.

1 Peter 3:9

9 Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult: but instead with blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you should inherit a blessing. 10 For, He who would love life, and see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile: 11 Let him turn from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it.

1 Peter 3:11

11 Let him turn from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it.

1 Peter 3:16

16 Keeping a good conscience, so that when you are falsely accused, those who revile your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed.

1 Peter 4:2

2 That he may live the rest of his time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

1 Peter 4:7

7 But the end of all things is at hand: therefore be of sound mind and sober judgement for prayer. 8 Above all things have fervent love for one another: for love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.

1 Peter 4:9

9 Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. 10 As every man has received a gift, so he should use it to serve one another, as befits good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speak, let it be as one who speaks the oracles of God; if any man serves, let him do it as by the strength which God supplies: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11-11

11 If any man speak, let it be as one who speaks the oracles of God; if any man serves, let him do it as by the strength which God supplies: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:13

13 But rejoice, insofar as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be triumphantly joyful.

1 Peter 5:1-4

1 I exhort the elders who are among you, as a fellow elder, and as a witness of the sufferings of Christ and as a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Tend the flock of God which is in your charge, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for sordid gain, but eagerly;

1 Peter 5:2-3

2 Tend the flock of God which is in your charge, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for sordid gain, but eagerly; 3 Not being lords over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.

1 Peter 5:3-3

3 Not being lords over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.

1 Peter 5:3

3 Not being lords over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that does not fade away. 5 Likewise, you who are younger, submit yourselves to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another: for God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

1 Peter 5:8

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walks about, seeking someone he may devour.

2 Peter 1:4

4 By which he has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1:6

6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.

2 Peter 2:20

20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning.

1 John 2:9-11

9 He who says he is in the light, yet hates his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he goes, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

1 John 2:15-17

15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passes away, along with its lusts: but he who does the will of God abides forever.

1 John 3:1-3

1 Behold, how great is the love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God; and so we are. The world does not know us, because it did not know him. 2 Beloved, now we are the sons of God; and what we shall be has not yet been disclosed: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

1 John 3:10-18

10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who was of the wicked one, and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.

1 John 3:13-18

13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death. 15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 16 By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

1 John 3:17

17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word or in speech; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:18-18

18 My little children, let us not love in word or in speech; but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him, 20 Whenever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

1 John 4:4-5

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he who is in you, than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore what they speak is of the world, and the world hears them.

1 John 4:11

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 John 4:20-5:2

20 If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

1 John 5:14-15

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have that which we have requested of him.

1 John 5:19

19 We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies under the power of the wicked one.

3 John 1:9

9 I wrote to the church: but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept us.

Revelation 2:4

4 Yet I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Revelation 3:15-16

15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I wish that you were either cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.

9 And the great dragon was cast down, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

Revelation 13:7-8

7 And it was given to him to make war on the saints, and to overcome them: and authority was given to him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation. 8 And all who live upon the earth shall worship him, every one whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 13:8-8

8 And all who live upon the earth shall worship him, every one whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 13:10

10 He who is to go into captivity shall go into captivity: he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
