¹² And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold doves,

¹¹ And Jesus entered Jerusalem, and went into the temple: and when he looked around at everything, he went out to Bethany with the twelve, since evening had come.

¹⁵ And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold doves; ¹⁶ And he would not allow any man to carry merchandise through the temple. ¹⁷ And he taught, saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations? but you have made it a den of robbers. ¹⁸ And the scribes and chief priests heard this, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people were astonished at his teaching.

²⁴ And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

⁴⁵ And he went into the temple, and began to cast out those who were selling; ⁴⁶ Saying to them, It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer: but you have made it a den of thieves. ⁴⁷ And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the leaders of the people sought to destroy him,

¹⁴ And found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting there: ¹⁵ And when he had made a whip of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep, and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overturned their tables; ¹⁶ And said to those who sold doves, Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of merchandise. ¹⁷ And his disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for your house will consume me.
