1 For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner, who went out early in the morning to hire labourers to work in his vineyard.
2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4 And said to them; Go also into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. And they went.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing, and said to them, Why are you standing here idle all the day?
7 They said to him, Because no man has hired us. He said to them, Go also into the vineyard.
8 So when evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.
9 And when those who were hired about the eleventh hour came, every man received a denarius.
10 But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; but each of them likewise received a denarius.
11 And when they had received it, they grumbled against the landowner,
12 Saying, These last have worked but one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do you no wrong: did you not agree with me for a denarius?
14 Take what is yours, and go your way: I wish to give to this last man, just as to you.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is my own? Is your eye envious, because I am good?
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last.
17 And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way said to them,
18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and on the third day he shall be raised up.
20 Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, bowing before him, and asked a certain thing of him.
21 And he said to her, What do you wish? She said to him, Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, the one on your right hand, and the other on the left, in your kingdom.
22 But Jesus answered and said, You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink? They said to him, We are able.
23 And he said to them, You shall indeed drink of my cup: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.
24 And when the ten heard this, they were moved with indignation against the two brothers.
25 But Jesus called them to him, and said, You know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them.
26 But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your servant;
27 And whoever will be chief among you, let him be your slave:
28 Even as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David.
31 And the multitude rebuked them, telling them to be quiet: but they cried out all the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David.
32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What do you want that I should do for you?
33 They said to him, Lord, we want our eyes to be opened.
34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately they received their sight, and they followed him.

23 And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and along the hedgerows, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say to you, That none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet.

29 And he answered his father, Lo, these many years I have served you and never disobeyed your commandment: and yet you never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 But as soon as this son of yours comes home, who has devoured your estate with prostitutes, you kill for him the fatted calf.
31 And he said to him, Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

2 Saying, There was a judge in a city, who did not fear God or respect man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she kept coming to him, saying, Give me justice against my adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said to himself, Though I do not fear God or respect man;
5 Yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her justice, lest by her continual coming she wear me out.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.
7 And shall not God vindicate his elect, who cry day and night to him, and will he delay long with them?
8 I tell you that he will vindicate them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?

31 Then he took the twelve aside, and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully treated, and spit upon:
33 And they shall flog him, and put him to death: and on the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: this saying was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things which were spoken.
35 And it came to pass, that when he came near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road begging:
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 And they told him, Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.
38 And he cried out, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.
39 And those who led the way rebuked him, telling him to hold his peace: but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.

10 For the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 And while they listened to these things, he told a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God would immediately appear.

2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting our nation, and forbidding us to give taxes to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
3 And Pilate asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answered him, You have said so.
4 Then Pilate said to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.
5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judaea, beginning in Galilee and coming all the way to this place.

42 And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.
43 And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.
44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour,

1 And as he passed by, he saw a man who was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, It was not that this man sinned, or his parents: but it was so the works of God would be made manifest in him.
4 We must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.

8 The neighbours, and those who had seen him before as a beggar, said, Is this not the one who sat and begged?
9 Some said, This is he: others said, No, but he is like him: but he said, I am the one.
10 Therefore they said to him, How were your eyes opened?
11 He answered and said, A man who is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received my sight.
12 Then they said to him, Where is he? He said, I do not know.

51 And this he did not speak of his own accord: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;
52 And not for that nation only, but also that he should gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

22 Philip came and told Andrew: then Andrew and Philip told Jesus.
John 13:4-17
4 Jesus rose from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
6 Then he came to Simon Peter: and Peter said to him, Lord, do you wash my feet?
7 Jesus answered and said to him, What I do you do not understand now; but you shall understand later.
8 Peter said to him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with me.
9 Simon Peter said to him, Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesus said to him, He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but he is clean all over: and you are clean, but not all of you.
11 For he knew who would betray him; therefore he said, Not all of you are clean.
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had put on his garments, and had taken his place again, he said to them, Do you know what I have done to you?
13 You call me Teacher and Lord: and you say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet; you also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
16 Truly, truly, I say to you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.
17 If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.

John 18:28-38
28 Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the praetorium: and it was early; and they themselves did not go into the praetorium, so they would not be defiled, but might eat the passover.
29 Pilate then went out to them, and said, What accusation do you bring against this man?
30 They answered and said to him, If he were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered him up to you.
31 Then Pilate said to them, You take him and judge him according to your own law. The Jews said to him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
32 This was so the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke to signify what kind of death he should die.
33 Then Pilate entered the praetorium again, and called Jesus, and said to him, Are you the King of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered him, Do you say this of your own accord, or did others tell you of me?
35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you up to me: what have you done?
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I should not be delivered up to the Jews: but my kingdom is not of this world.
John 18:36
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I should not be delivered up to the Jews: but my kingdom is not of this world.
37 So Pilate said to him, You are a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice.
38 Pilate said to him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, I find no fault in him.
John 19:1-4
1 Then Pilate took Jesus, and scourged him.
2 And the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
3 And came up to him and said, Hail, King of the Jews! and struck him with their hands.
4 Pilate went forth again, and said to them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that you may know that I find no fault in him.

Acts 3:13-16
13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to let him go.
14 But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you;
15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead. Of this we are witnesses.
16 And his name, through faith in his name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know: and the faith which is through Jesus has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.
Acts 4:16
16 Saying, What shall we do with these men? for that a notable miracle has indeed been done by them is apparent to everyone who lives in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

Acts 17:17-21
17 Therefore, he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with those who happened to be there.
18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoics, encountered him. And some said, What is this babbler trying to say? and others, He seems to be a proclaimer of strange gods: because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection.
19 And they took him, and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine is, of which you speak?
20 For you bring certain strange things to our ears: therefore we want to know what these things mean.

Acts 20:34-35
34 You yourselves know, that these hands have ministered to my needs, and to the needs of those who were with me.
35 I have shown you in all things, that by labouring in this manner you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words the Lord Jesus himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Acts 21:11
11 When he had come to us, he took Paul's belt, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus says the Holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

Romans 1:14
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the barbarians; both to the wise, and to the foolish.
Romans 2:6-10
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To those who by patience in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But to those who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.
9 There shall be tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man who does evil, first for the Jew, and also for the Greek;
10 But glory, honour, and peace for every man who does good works, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek:
Romans 3:4
4 God forbid: let God be true, even if every man is a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your words, and might overcome when you are judged.

19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be held accountable to God.
Romans 3:22-24
Romans 3:24-26
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God has set forth to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in his blood. He did this to declare his righteousness, for in the forbearance of God, he passed over sins of the past;
26 To declare at this present time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
27 Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what law? of works? No: but by the law of faith.
Romans 3:30
30 Since God is one, and he shall justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.
Romans 4:3-6
3 For what does the scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
4 Now to the one who works, his reward is not counted as a gift, but as his due.
5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.
6 Thus David speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
Romans 4:25
25 He was delivered to death for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Romans 5:15-19
15 But the free gift is not like the offence. For if through the offence of the one many died, how much more did the grace of God, and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to many.
16 And the effect of the gift is not like the effect of the one who sinned, judgment following one trespass and resulting in condemnation; but the free gift came following many offences and resulted in justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned through that one; much more shall those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.
18 Therefore, as the offence of one brought judgment upon all men, resulting in condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one came justification that brings life for all men.
19 For just as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 The law entered, that offences might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more:
Romans 5:20
Romans 6:16-22
16 Do you not know that if you yield yourselves as slaves to obey someone, you are slaves of the one you obey; whether of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once the slaves of sin, have obeyed from the heart that standard of teaching which was entrusted to you.
18 Being then set free from sin, you became the slaves of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men, because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as you have yielded your members as slaves to uncleanness and to ever increasing iniquity; so now yield your members as slaves to righteousness, leading to holiness.
20 For when you were the slaves of sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
21 But what benefit did you get from those things of which you are now ashamed? for the result of those things is death.
22 But now, having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you gain the benefit that leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
Romans 8:17
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 8:26
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness: for we do not know how to pray as we ought: but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Romans 8:30
30 And whom he predestined, those he also called: and whom he called, those he also justified: and whom he justified, those he also glorified.
Romans 8:34
34 Who is there to condemn? It is Christ who died, yes, and more than that, who was raised again, who is at the right hand of God, and who also intercedes for us.
Romans 9:14-15
Romans 9:15-24
15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it does not depend on him who wills or runs, but on God who shows mercy.
17 For the scripture says to Pharaoh, For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore, he has mercy on whom he will have mercy, and he hardens whomever he wills.
19 You will say to me, Why then does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?
20 But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Shall the thing formed say to the one who formed it, Why have you made me this way?
Romans 9:20-24
20 But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Shall the thing formed say to the one who formed it, Why have you made me this way?
21 Does not the potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for noble use, and another for common use?
22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with great patience the vessels of wrath made for destruction:
23 That he might make known the riches of his glory to the vessels of mercy, which he had prepared beforehand for glory,
24 Even us, whom he has called, not only from among the Jews, but also from among the Gentiles?
Romans 9:30-32
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who did not follow after righteousness, have attained righteousness, the righteousness which is by faith;
Romans 9:30
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who did not follow after righteousness, have attained righteousness, the righteousness which is by faith;
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, has not fulfilled that law.
32 Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone;
Romans 10:1-3
1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.
Romans 10:14-17
14 But how shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, unless they are sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?
17 So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

10 Be devoted to one another with brotherly love; honour one another more than yourselves;

11 Even to this present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are ill-clothed, and are buffeted, and are homeless;
1 Corinthians 6:11
11 And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23
19 For though I am free from all men, yet I have made myself the servant to all, that I might win the more.
20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win the Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law;
21 To those who are without the law, as without the law, (though I am not without the law of God, but am under the law of Christ,) that I might win those who are without the law.
22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak: I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be a partaker in its blessings.
1 Corinthians 13:4
4 Love is patient, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast, and is not arrogant;
1 Corinthians 15:3-7
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance that which I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve:
6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.
7 After that, he appeared to James; then to all the apostles.
1 Corinthians 15:58
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
2 Corinthians 1:7

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are mighty before God for the pulling down of strongholds.
5 We cast down arguments, and every lofty thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;
6 And we have a readiness to punish all disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
7 Do you look on things according to their outward appearance? If any man trusts that he is Christ's, let him remind himself, that, as he is Christ's, so are we.
8 For though I should boast somewhat freely of our authority, which the Lord has given us for building you up, and not for your destruction, I shall not be put to shame.
9 I do not wish to seem to be frightening you by my letters.
10 For his letters, they say, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

2 Corinthians 11:23-27
2 Corinthians 11:24-27
2 Corinthians 11:25-27
25 Thrice I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have spent in the deep;
26 On frequent journeys, in perils from rivers, in perils from robbers, in perils from my own countrymen, in perils from the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils on the sea, in perils among false brethren;
2 Corinthians 11:26-27
26 On frequent journeys, in perils from rivers, in perils from robbers, in perils from my own countrymen, in perils from the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils on the sea, in perils among false brethren;

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened; so you may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe. It is the working of his mighty power,

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not because of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand for us to do.
11 Therefore remember, that in times past you Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by those who are called the Circumcision, (that which is performed in the flesh by hands;)
12 That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

6 That is, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and sharers together of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel:

Philippians 2:3
3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself.
4 Let each of you not only look to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
5 Let this attitude be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, though being in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in form as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

13 Though I was formerly a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and a violent man: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord overflowed for me, along with the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a trustworthy saying, and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am the foremost.
16 Yet for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might show forth his unlimited patience, as a pattern for those who would believe in him for eternal life.

James 1:11
11 For the sun has no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withers the grass, and its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. In the same way shall the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

James 1:23-25
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:
24 For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was.
25 But whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and perseveres in it, not being a forgetful hearer, but an active doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does.

5 For this very reason, give all diligence to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things are in you, and are increasing, they keep you from being either ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he who lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall:

13 And he performs great wonders, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven to the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceives those who live on the earth by the miracles which he had the power to do in the sight of the beast; bidding those who live on the earth to make an image in honour of the beast, who was wounded by the sword, and yet lived.
15 And he had power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
16 And he causes everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand, or on his forehead:
