²² Yea, and certain women of our company astonished us, for they were at the tomb early;

⁷ And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead; and, behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you shall see him: lo, I have told you. ⁸ And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy; and ran to bring his disciples word.

⁹ :¹⁰ And she went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

¹ Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared. ² And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. ³ They entered, but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴ And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: ⁵ They were afraid, and bowed their faces to the earth, and the men said to them, Why do you seek the living among the dead? ⁶ He is not here, but has risen: remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee, ⁷ Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. ⁸ And they remembered his words, ⁹ And returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest. ¹⁰ They were Mary of Magdala, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. ¹¹ And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they did not believe them.

¹ The first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early, when it was yet dark, to the tomb, and saw the stone taken away from the tomb. ² Then she ran, and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.

¹⁸ Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things to her.
