²⁹ We know that God spoke to Moses: as for this man, we know not where he comes from.

²⁴ But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow casts out devils only by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.

⁶¹ And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

² And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting our nation, and forbidding us to give taxes to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²⁷ Yet we know where this man is from: but when the Christ comes, no man will know where he is from.

⁴¹ Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? ⁴² Has not the scripture said, That Christ comes from the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, the village where David lived?

¹⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, Though I bear testimony of myself, yet my testimony is true: for I know where I came from, and where I go; but you do not know where I come from, or where I go.

¹⁶ Therefore, some of the Pharisees said, This man is not of God, because he does not keep the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man who is a sinner do such miraculous signs? And there was a division among them.

²⁴ Then again they called the man who was blind, and said to him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

³⁵ This Moses whom they rejected, saying, Who made you a ruler and a judge? was the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

²² And until this word they listened to him, then they lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

²² Having obtained help from God, I continue to this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying nothing other than what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

² Who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. ³ For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, just as he who has built the house has more honour than the house. ⁴ For every house has been built by someone; but he who is the builder of all things is God. ⁵ And Moses was faithful in all his house, as a servant, as a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;
