Luke Cross References - RKJNT

1 Since many have undertaken to set forth in order a narrative of those things which have happened among us, 2 Just as they have been delivered to us, by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; 3 It seemed good to me also, having carefully investigated all these things from the very beginning, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, 4 That you might know the certainty of those things, about which you have been instructed. 5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abija: and his wife was one of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. 7 And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both now well along in years. 8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's service before God while his division was on duty, 9 According to the custom of the priest's office, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10 And the whole multitude of people were praying outside at the time of incense offering. 11 And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And when Zechariah saw him, he was troubled, and fear came upon him. 13 But the angel said to him, Fear not, Zechariah: for your prayer has been heard; and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you shall have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. 16 And he shall turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 18 And Zechariah said to the angel, How shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years. 19 And the angel answered him, I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God; and have been sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news. 20 Behold, you shall be silent, unable to speak, until the day that these things come to pass, because you have not believed my words, which shall be fulfilled in their time. 21 And the people waited for Zechariah, and wondered why he delayed so long in the temple. 22 And when he came out, he could not speak to them: and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned to them, and remained speechless. 23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his service were finished, he departed to his own house. 24 And after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 25 Thus has the Lord dealt with me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my disgrace among men. 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came to her, and said, Hail, you who are highly favoured, the Lord is with you. 29 And she was troubled at his words, and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, Fear not, Mary, for you have found favour with God. 31 And behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give to him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then Mary said to the angel, How shall this be, since I am a virgin? 35 And the angel answered her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you: therefore the holy child to be born shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, your cousin Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age: and she who was called barren is in her sixth month. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38 And Mary said, Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her. 39 And at that time Mary arose, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah; 40 And entered into the house of Zechariah, and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit: 42 And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 And why do I deserve to have the mother of my Lord come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that those things which were told her from the Lord would be fulfilled. 46 And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour. 48 For he has looked upon the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For he who is mighty has done great things for me; and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation. 51 He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered those who were proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the humble. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he has sent away empty. 54 He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; 55 As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever. 56 And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her own house. 57 Now the time came for Elizabeth to give birth; and she brought forth a son. 58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shown great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. 59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they were going to call him Zechariah, after the name of his father. 60 And his mother answered and said, No; he shall be called John. 61 And they said to her, There is no one of your family who is called by this name. 62 And they made signs to his father, what he would have him called. 63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, His name is John. And they all marvelled. 64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, and praised God. 65 And fear came upon all who lived around them: and all these things were spoken of throughout all the hill country of Judaea. 66 And all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What shall this child shall turn out to be! And the hand of the Lord was with him. 67 And his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying, 68 Blessed is the Lord God of Israel; for he has visited and redeemed his people, 69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70 As he spoke by the mouths of his holy prophets, from long ago: 71 That we would be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us; 72 To show the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 73 The oath which he swore to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant to us, that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our lives. 76 And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High: for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77 To give to his people the knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins; 78 Through the tender mercy of our God, the sunrise from on high will visit us, 79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. 80 And the child grew, and grew strong in spirit, and lived in the deserts until the day of his public appearance to Israel.

4 And John had a garment of camel's hair, and a leather girdle about his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then Jerusalem, and all Judaea, went out to him, and all the region around the Jordan, 6 And were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come for baptism, he said to them, You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore, bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance: 9 And do not think to say to yourselves, We have Abraham as our father: for I say to you, that God is able from these stones to raise up children to Abraham. 10 And now the axe is laid to the root of the trees: therefore every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire. 11 I baptize you with water for repentance: but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire.

3 And he went into all the country about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins; 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Luke 3:6

6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. 7 Then he said to the multitude that came forth to be baptized by him, O generation of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth fruit worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, We have Abraham as our father: for I say to you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones. 9 Even now the axe is laid at the root of the trees: every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire. 10 And the people asked him, What shall we do then? 11 He answered and said to them, He who has two coats, let him share with him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise. 12 Then tax gatherers also came to be baptized, and said to him, Teacher, what shall we do? 13 And he said to them, Collect no more than you have been ordered to. 14 And the soldiers likewise questioned him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said to them, Do not extort money from anyone or accuse anyone falsely; and be content with your wages.

Luke 3:16

16 John answered, saying to them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I comes, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire:

Luke 16:19-25

19 There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and feasted sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, covered with sores, 21 And he longed to eat the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in Hades he lift up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried out, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and Lazarus received evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.

Luke 18:11-14

11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax gatherer. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the tax gatherer, standing far off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but beat upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me, a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one who exalts himself shall be abased; and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

42 David himself says in the book of Psalms, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, 43 Until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. 44 Therefore David calls him Lord; so how is he then his son?

36 And as they spoke of this, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, Peace be with you. 37 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they were seeing a spirit. 38 And he said to them, Why are you troubled? and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: touch me, and see; for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have. 40 And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet.

9 The true Light, which enlightens every man, was coming into the world.

John 1:13

13 Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:15-17

15 John bore witness to him, and cried out, saying, This was he of whom I spoke, He who comes after me ranks above me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

John 1:21-30

21 And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you the prophet? And he answered, No. 22 Then they said to him, Who are you? that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself? 23 He said, I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as the prophet Isaiah said.

John 1:23

23 He said, I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as the prophet Isaiah said. 24 Now they had been sent by the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, Why do you baptize then, if you are not the Christ, or Elijah, or the prophet? 26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but one stands among you, whom you do not know; 27 It is he who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.

John 1:27

27 It is he who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie. 28 These things took place in Bethany, beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

John 1:29

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, After me comes a man who ranks above me: for he was before me. 31 And I did not know him: but I came baptizing with water that he might be revealed to Israel.

John 3:28-36

28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I have been sent before him. 29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 31 He who comes from above is above all: he who is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: he who comes from heaven is above all. 32 And what he has seen and heard, to that he testifies; yet no man receives his testimony. 33 He who has received his testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God: for God gives the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. 36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life: but he who disobeys the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God rests upon him.

John 5:21-29

21 For as the Father raises up the dead, and gives them life; even so the Son gives life to whom he will. 22 For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who has sent him. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and shall not come into judgment; but has passed from death into life. 25 Truly, truly, I say to you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and those who hear shall live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself; so he has granted to the Son to have life in himself; 27 And has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man. 28 Do not marvel at this: for the hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

5 After that he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. 6 Then he came to Simon Peter: and Peter said to him, Lord, do you wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said to him, What I do you do not understand now; but you shall understand later. 8 Peter said to him, You shall never wash my feet. No, by no means: for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is no one righteous, no, not one: 11 There is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks after God. 12 They have all left the way, together they have become unprofitable; there is no one who does good, no, not one. 13 Their throats are an open grave; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known:

Romans 3:17

17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be held accountable to God. 20 Therefore, by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified in his sight: for through the law comes the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law has been manifested, though it is witnessed to by the law and the prophets; 22 This is the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God has set forth to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in his blood. He did this to declare his righteousness, for in the forbearance of God, he passed over sins of the past;

Romans 3:25

25 Whom God has set forth to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in his blood. He did this to declare his righteousness, for in the forbearance of God, he passed over sins of the past;

Romans 4:6-8

6 Thus David speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: 7 Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not count against him.

Romans 4:19

19 And he did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, now as good as dead, for he was about a hundred years old, or the deadness of Sarah's womb: 20 He did not waver through unbelief in the promise of God; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And was fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Romans 5:11

11 And not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received reconciliation.

Romans 6:22

22 But now, having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you gain the benefit that leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

Romans 8:15

15 For you have not received a spirit of bondage leading to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out, Abba, Father.

Romans 8:31

31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 9:5

5 To them belong the fathers, and from them, according to the flesh, came Christ, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen. 6 But it is not as though the word of God has had no effect. For they are not all Israel, who are descended from Israel:

Romans 9:23

23 That he might make known the riches of his glory to the vessels of mercy, which he had prepared beforehand for glory,

Romans 11:28-29

28 Concerning the gospel, they are enemies of God, for your sakes: but concerning election, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.

Romans 11:28

28 Concerning the gospel, they are enemies of God, for your sakes: but concerning election, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are never revoked.

Romans 12:15

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

Romans 15:16

16 That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 1:26-28

26 For consider your calling, brethren: that not many were wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble:

1 Corinthians 1:26

26 For consider your calling, brethren: that not many were wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble: 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are mighty; 28 And God has chosen base things of the world, and things which are despised, and things which are not, to reduce to nothing things that are:

1 Corinthians 1:31

31 So that, just as it is written, Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 4:1

1 Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

1 Corinthians 4:8

8 Already you are full, already you are rich, you have become as kings without us: and I would that you had become kings, that we might also reign with you.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexual offenders, 10 Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 7:40

40 But in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is: and I also think that I have the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 11:2

2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things, and keep the traditions, just as I delivered them to you.

1 Corinthians 12:26

26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 14:19

19 Yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

1 Corinthians 15:24-25

24 Then comes the end, when he delivers up the kingdom to God the Father; after he has destroyed all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, until he has put all enemies under his feet.

1 Corinthians 16:12

12 Regarding our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to go to you with the brethren: but it was not at all his desire to go at this time; but he will come when he has the opportunity.

2 Corinthians 1:12

12 For our boast is in this: the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and still more toward you.

14 Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and makes manifest through us the fragrance of the knowledge of him in every place.

5 We cast down arguments, and every lofty thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;

20 I have been crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 3:15-17

15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it is only a man's covenant, yet when it is ratified, no man annuls or adds to it. 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He does not say, And to seeds, as to many; but to one, And to your seed, which is Christ. 17 And this is what I mean, that the law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant which was previously ratified by God, and thus make the promise void.

Galatians 3:29

29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 4:4

4 But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

Ephesians 1:6

6 To the praise of his glorious grace, which he freely bestowed upon us in the beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:20-23

20 Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. 22 And he has put all things under his feet, and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all things everywhere.

Ephesians 2:3

3 Among them we all lived in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, like the others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in transgressions, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)

Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand for us to do.

Ephesians 3:7-8

7 Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the working of his power. 8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, was this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Ephesians 3:20

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Ephesians 4:11-12

11 And he gave some as apostles; and some as prophets; and some as evangelists; and some as pastors and teachers; 12 For the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ:

14 Therefore he says, Awaken, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.

Ephesians 5:18

18 And do not be drunk with wine, which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit;

Philippians 1:8

8 For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:1

1 If, therefore, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation in love, if any fellowship in the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,

Philippians 2:3

3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself.

Philippians 2:9-11

9 Therefore, God has highly exalted him, and given him the name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth; 11 And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:15

15 That you may be blameless and innocent, the children of God, without blemish, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;

Philippians 3:3

3 For we are the true circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,

Philippians 3:5

5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; regarding the law, a Pharisee; 6 Concerning zeal, a persecutor of the church; regarding the righteousness which is of the law, blameless. 7 But whatever things were gain to me, those I have counted as loss for Christ. 8 Furthermore, I count all things as loss compared to the excellency of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may win Christ,

Philippians 3:8

8 Furthermore, I count all things as loss compared to the excellency of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, based on the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

Philippians 3:21

21 Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Philippians 4:4

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Colossians 1:12

12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has made us qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

Colossians 1:22

22 He has now reconciled in his body of flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable in his sight: 23 If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister. 24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ for his body's sake, which is the church: 25 Of which I was made a minister, according to the commission of God, which was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known;

Colossians 3:12

12 Therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; 13 So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 4:1

1 Furthermore, we urge you, brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have learned from us how you ought to walk and to please God, as indeed you are doing, so you would do more and more.

1 Thessalonians 4:7

7 For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-5

4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that this day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

2 Thessalonians 2:13

13 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth:

1 Timothy 1:1

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the commandment of God our Saviour, and of Jesus Christ, our hope;

1 Timothy 2:3

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1 Timothy 3:16

16 And beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of self-discipline.

2 Timothy 1:9

9 Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not by virtue of our works, but because of his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,

2 Timothy 2:13

13 If we are faithless, yet he remains faithful: for he cannot deny himself.

2 Timothy 2:21

21 Therefore, if a man purifies himself from the ignoble, he shall be a vessel for noble purposes, consecrated and useful to the master, prepared for every good work.

2 Timothy 4:17

17 But the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Titus 1:2

2 Which rests in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the beginning of time; 3 And at the proper time he revealed his word through the preaching which was entrusted to me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

Titus 2:10

10 Not to pilfer, but showing entire and true fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires, and live sensibly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

Titus 2:13

13 Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself up for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.

Titus 3:3-7

3 For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, slaves to various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy; hated, and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared,

Titus 3:4-6

4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, 5 He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit;

Titus 3:5-6

5 He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit; 6 Whom he poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Titus 3:6-6

6 Whom he poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs, having the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 1:2-8

2 Has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. 3 He is the brightness of his glory, and the exact representation of his nature, upholding all things by the word of his power. When he had purged our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Having become as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. 5 For to which of the angels has he at any time said, You are my Son, this day I have begotten you? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, Let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he says, Who makes his angels winds, and his ministers flames of fire. 8 But of the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of your kingdom.

Hebrews 1:8

8 But of the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of your kingdom.

Hebrews 1:14

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to serve those who shall be heirs of salvation?

Hebrews 2:3

3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? It was at first announced by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard him;

7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, Today if you hear his voice,

Hebrews 4:14

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities; but one who in every respect was tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 6:13-18

13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,

Hebrews 6:13

13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself, 14 Saying, Surely I will bless you and I will multiply you. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For truly, men swear by one who is greater than themselves: and an oath given for confirmation puts an end to all disputes.

Hebrews 6:16-17

16 For truly, men swear by one who is greater than themselves: and an oath given for confirmation puts an end to all disputes. 17 Therefore God, wanting to show more clearly to the heirs of the promise the immutable nature of his purpose, confirmed it by an oath:

Hebrews 6:17-17

17 Therefore God, wanting to show more clearly to the heirs of the promise the immutable nature of his purpose, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us might have a strong encouragement.

Hebrews 6:18-18

18 That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us might have a strong encouragement.

Hebrews 7:26-28

26 For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, blameless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens; 27 Who has no need, as do those high priests, to offer up daily sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for those of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself. 28 For the law appoints men, who are frail, to be high priests; but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

Hebrews 9:6

6 Now when these preparations had been made, the priests went regularly into the first room of the tabernacle, performing their ministry.

Hebrews 9:14

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:24

24 For Christ has not entered a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

Hebrews 11:11

11 Through faith Sarah herself received the ability to conceive, and delivered a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 13:6

6 So we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man can do to me.

James 1:9-10

9 Let the brother of humble circumstances rejoice that he is exalted: 10 And the rich, that he is made humble: because like the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

James 2:5-6

5 Listen, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him? 6 But you have despised the poor. Is it not the rich who oppress you, and drag you into court?

James 4:10

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

James 5:1-6

1 Come now, you rich men, weep and howl for the miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches have rotted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver is corroded; and their rust shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as if it were fire. You have heaped treasure together in the last days. 4 Behold, the wages of the labourers who have reaped your fields, which you withheld, cry out against you: and the cries of those who reaped have been heard by the ears of the Lord of hosts. 5 You have lived in luxury on the earth, and in self-indulgence; you have fattened your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and killed the just man; and he does not resist you.

1 Peter 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Peter 1:8

8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and though you do not see him now, yet you believe in him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy:

1 Peter 1:12

12 It was revealed to them that they did not serve themselves, but you, in the things which have now been made known to you by those who preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; things into which angels desire to look.

1 Peter 1:14-16

14 Live as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the lusts of your former ignorance: 15 But as he who has called you is holy, so be holy in all your conduct; 16 Because it is written, Be holy; for I am holy.

1 Peter 2:9

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

1 Peter 5:1

1 I exhort the elders who are among you, as a fellow elder, and as a witness of the sufferings of Christ and as a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

1 Peter 5:5

5 Likewise, you who are younger, submit yourselves to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another: for God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

2 Peter 1:4-8

4 By which he has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 For this very reason, give all diligence to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are in you, and are increasing, they keep you from being either ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:15-16

15 Moreover, I will endeavour to see to it that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things. 16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

2 Peter 1:16

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

2 Peter 1:16-16

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came a voice to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the word of prophecy made more certain; to which you would do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts:

2 Peter 1:19

19 And so we have the word of prophecy made more certain; to which you would do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts:

2 Peter 1:21

21 For prophecy did not come in times of old by the will of man: but holy men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 3:11-14

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be destroyed, what kind of people ought you to be? You should live holy and godly lives, 12 Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens shall be dissolved in fire, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. 13 But we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. 14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent that you may be found at peace with him, without spot, and blameless.

2 Peter 3:14-14

14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent that you may be found at peace with him, without spot, and blameless.

1 John 1:1-3

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life; 2 (For the life was revealed, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:5-7

5 This then is the message which we have heard from him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, yet walk in darkness, we lie, and do not practice the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 2:3

3 And by this we may be sure that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1 John 2:28

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one who does right has been born of him.

1 John 3:7

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he who does right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 He who commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 3:17

17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

1 John 4:9-10

9 In this was the love of God revealed among us, that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
