²⁵ Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live:

⁴³ And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you shall be with me in paradise.

⁴ In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

³⁶ He who believes in the Son has eternal life: but he who disobeys the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God rests upon him.

²¹ For as the Father raises up the dead, and gives them life; even so the Son gives life to whom he will.

²⁶ For as the Father has life in himself; so he has granted to the Son to have life in himself;

³⁵ And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he who comes to me shall never hunger; and he who believes in me shall never thirst.

³⁹ And this is the will of him who sent me, that of all he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up on the last day. ⁴⁰ And this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son, and believes in him, may have eternal life: and I will raise him up on the last day.

⁴⁴ No man can come to me, unless the Father who sent me draws him: and I will raise him up on the last day.

⁶ Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you shall see me: because I live, you also shall live.

¹⁵ And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead. Of this we are witnesses.

¹⁷ (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him in whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead, and calls into being those things which are not.

¹⁷ For if by one man's offence death reigned through that one; much more shall those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ Therefore, as the offence of one brought judgment upon all men, resulting in condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one came justification that brings life for all men. ¹⁹ For just as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

¹⁰ And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is alive because of righteousness. ¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies by his Spirit who dwells in you.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁸ Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

²⁰ But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of those who sleep. ²¹ For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. ²² For just as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. ²³ But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward those who are Christ's at his coming. ²⁴ Then comes the end, when he delivers up the kingdom to God the Father; after he has destroyed all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, until he has put all enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

²⁹ Otherwise, what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead are not raised at all? why then are they baptized for the dead?

⁴³ It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: ⁴⁴ It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. ⁴⁵ And so it is written, The first man, Adam, was made a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. ⁴⁶ Yet, it is not that which is spiritual that is first, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. ⁴⁷ The first man was of the earth, made of dust: the second man is from heaven. ⁴⁸ As was the man of dust, so it is with those who are of dust: and as is the man of heaven, so it is with those who are of heaven. ⁴⁹ And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. ⁵⁰ Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. ⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, ⁵² In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. ⁵³ For the perishable must put on the imperishable, and the mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ When the perishable has put on the imperishable, and the mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. ⁵⁵ O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ Knowing that he who raised up the Lord Jesus shall also raise us up with Jesus, and shall present us with you in his presence.

¹ For we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. ² For in this house we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our dwelling which is from heaven: ³ So that being clothed we shall not be found naked. ⁴ For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened: not that we would be unclothed, but rather further clothed, that mortality might be swallowed up by life. ⁵ Now he who has made us for this very thing is God, who has also given to us the Spirit as a pledge. ⁶ Therefore, we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: ⁷ (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) ⁸ We are confident, and would rather be absent from the body, and present with the Lord.

²³ For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

¹⁰ That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming like him in his death;

²⁰ But our citizenship is in heaven; from whence we eagerly look for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: ²¹ Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then you shall also appear with him in glory.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off; and they were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. ¹⁴ For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a country of their own. ¹⁵ And truly, if they had been thinking of that country from which they came out, they would have had opportunity to return. ¹⁶ Instead, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he has prepared for them a city.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life; ² (For the life was revealed, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us;)

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

⁵ But the rest of the dead did not come to life again until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.

¹⁰ And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. ¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and him who sat upon it, from whose face earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; and death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them: and they were judged, every man according to his deeds. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

⁴ And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain: for the former things have passed away.

¹ And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life without cost.
