⁵ Listen, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him?

³ Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

⁵ The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

³⁴ Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

¹⁴ And when he had called all the people to him, he said to them, Listen to me, every one of you, and understand:

²⁰ And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed are you who are poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

⁵⁷ And it came to pass, that, as they went along the way, a man said to him, Lord, I will follow you wherever you go. ⁵⁸ And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.

²¹ So it is with him who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

³² Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

²² And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

²⁵ But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and Lazarus received evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.

²⁹ And I grant to you a kingdom, as my Father has granted to me;

⁴⁸ Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in him?

² And he said, Brethren and fathers, listen; The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran,

¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him that we may also be glorified with him.

²⁶ For consider your calling, brethren: that not many were wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble: ²⁷ But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are mighty; ²⁸ And God has chosen base things of the world, and things which are despised, and things which are not, to reduce to nothing things that are:

⁹ But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love him.

²¹ Therefore, let no one glory in men. For all things are yours; ²² Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; ²³ And you are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

¹⁵ For all things are for your sakes, that as grace extends to more and more people, it might cause thanksgiving to abound, to the glory of God.

¹⁰ As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that through his poverty you might become rich.

¹⁸ That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened; so you may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

⁸ To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, was this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹² That you would walk in a manner worthy of God, who has called you into his kingdom and glory.

⁵ Which is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you suffer.

¹⁸ They are to do good, that they may be rich in good works, generous and willing to share;

⁸ Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not only to me, but also to all those who have longed for his appearing.

¹⁸ And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom: to him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

²⁶ Considering abuse for the sake of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he looked ahead to the reward.

⁹ Let the brother of humble circumstances rejoice that he is exalted:

¹² Blessed is the man who endures trial: for when he has stood the test, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love him.

¹⁶ Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.

⁴ To an imperishable and undefiled inheritance, that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

¹¹ For in this way an entrance shall be abundantly provided for you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

⁹ I know your tribulation and your poverty, (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness may not appear; and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.

⁷ He who overcomes shall inherit all these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
