¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

²⁵ At that time Jesus said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them to babes.

²⁷ All things have been delivered to me by my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; nor does any man know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah: for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men with whom he is pleased.

¹² For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to resist or refute.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father who glorifies me; of whom you say, that he is your God: ⁵⁵ Yet you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I do not know him, I would be a liar like you: but I do know him, and keep his word.

¹⁷ That is the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see him, neither does it know him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.

²⁶ But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

³ And these things they will do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

²⁵ O righteous Father, the world has not known you: but I have known you, and these know that you have sent me. ²⁶ And I have declared to them your name, and will declare it: that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, Do not hold me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

¹⁰ But they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.

² And he said, Brethren and fathers, listen; The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran,

²⁸ And as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

⁶ That you may with one heart and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸ Wisdom which none of the rulers of this world understood: for had they understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

¹⁰ But God has revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

⁶ Now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, how will I benefit you, unless I shall speak to you some revelation, or knowledge, or prophesy, or instruction?

¹ Though it is not profitable for me to boast, I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places:

⁵ Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

¹⁸ May be able to comprehend, with all the saints, its breadth, and length, and height, and depth; ¹⁹ And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God.

⁹ For this reason, since the day we heard it, we do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; ¹⁰ That you might walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in all things, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

² That their hearts might be comforted as they are knit together in love, and that they might gain all the riches of the full assurance that comes from understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, of Christ; ³ In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

²⁵ In gentleness correcting those who oppose him; that God might grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth;

¹ Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to further the faith of God's chosen and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

¹ My brethren, do not hold your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ¹⁸ And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

³ Whose divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and virtue:

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

³ And by this we may be sure that we know him, if we keep his commandments. ⁴ He who says, I know him, and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

¹² Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.
