⁸ For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.

³¹ Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, If you continue in my word, then you are my disciples indeed;

⁴ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine; neither can you, unless you abide in me.

⁷ If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.

²³ When he came, and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and exhorted them all, that with resolute hearts they would cling to the Lord;

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

¹³ Be watchful, stand fast in the faith, act like men, be strong.

¹ It is for liberty that Christ has made us free. Therefore, stand fast and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁵ But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all things into him, who is the head, that is, Christ: ¹⁶ From whom the whole body, fitted and joined together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of every part, causes the body to grow, for the building up of itself in love.

¹³ Therefore, take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand on the evil day, and having done all, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

²⁷ Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear of you, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

¹ Therefore, my brethren, whom I dearly love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.

²³ If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

¹⁴ For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold our first confidence steadfast to the end;

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

²³ Let us hold fast the profession of our hope, without wavering; (for he who promised is faithful;)

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

¹⁷ But you, beloved, seeing that you know these things beforehand, beware lest you also, being led away by the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

³ Therefore, remember what you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If you will not awaken, I will come like a thief, and you shall not know at what hour I will come upon you.

¹¹ Behold, I come quickly: hold fast to that which you have, that no man may take your crown.
