Lo! the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is delivered up into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise, let us be going; lo! he is at hand that delivereth me up.

John 18:1-11

1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples across the brook Kedron, where was a garden, into which he entered with his disciples. 2 And Judas also, his betrayer, knew the place; because Jesus often resorted thither with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received the band of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with torches and lanterns and weapons. 4 But Jesus, knowing all things that were coming upon him, went forth, and saith to them, Whom do ye seek? 5 They answered him, Jesus the Nazarene. Jesus saith to them, I am he. Now Judas also, his betrayer, was standing with them. 6 As soon then as he said to them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. 7 Again therefore he asked them, Whom do ye seek? And they said, Jesus the Nazarene. 8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he. If therefore ye are seeking me, let these men go. 9 That the saying might be fulfilled which he spoke, "Of those whom thou hast given me, I have lost none." 10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and smote the servant of the highpriest, and cut off his right ear. And the servants name was Malchus. 11 Jesus therefore said to Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath. The cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
