⁴² He said: »Jesus, remember me when you come in your kingdom.«

⁶ »I have installed (anointed) (established) my king on Zion, my holy mountain.«

⁴ Remember me, O Jehovah, with favor toward your people. Visit me with your salvation. ⁵ Help me see the prosperity of your chosen ones that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.

⁶ For unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will accomplish this.

¹⁰ It was Jehovah’s will to allow him to be crushed. Even though Jehovah makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of Jehovah will prosper in his hand. ¹¹ After his suffering he will see the light and be satisfied. And how will they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone to preach?

¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous (greedy), nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionists, will inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ That is what some of you were. You have been washed clean and now you are sanctified. The Spirit of our God declares you righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁶ The scriptures say: »I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, chosen and precious (Isaiah 28:16). He who believes in him will not be disappointed (shamed).« ⁷ This precious value is for those who believe. But for the unbeliever: »The stone that the builders rejected became the cornerstone.«

¹ Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves him that causes the birth also loves him that is born.

¹¹ The testimony is this that God gave us everlasting life and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. ¹³ I wrote these things so you who believe in the name of the Son of God may know you have everlasting life.
