²² Jehovah said: »The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.«

²⁶ Then God said: »Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. Let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth and over all the creatures that move along the ground.«

⁹ Jehovah God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground, trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

⁵ »God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened. Then you will be like God, knowing good and evil.«

⁶ Jehovah said: »If they become one people speaking the same language, nothing will be impossible for them. They have begun to do this. ⁷ »Let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.«

²⁶ Humble (meek) people will eat until they are full. Those who look to Jehovah will praise him. May your heart live forever.

¹⁸ She (wisdom) is a tree of life to those who hold her. Happy are all who keep her.

⁷ »'He who can hear should listen to what the Spirit says to the congregations! To him who overcomes I will give the right to eat the fruit of the tree of life that grows in the (Paradise) Garden of God.'

² This was in the middle of the street of the city. The tree of life was on each side of the river. It produced twelve kinds of fruit and yielded the fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

¹⁴ »'Blessed are those who obey his commandments. They have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates of the city.
