² For he said: At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation!

⁸ This is what Jehovah says: »In the time of favor I will answer you. I will appoint you as my promise to the people. You will restore the land. You will make them inherit the desolate inheritance.«

² To proclaim the favorable Year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God. To comfort all who mourn,

⁸ »‘Then I passed by you and saw that you were at the time for love. So I spread my skirt over you and covered your nakedness. I also swore to you and entered into a covenant with you so that you became mine, declares the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁹ »To proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah.« (Isaiah 61:1)

⁴² He said: »If you only knew today the things needed to bring peace! But they are hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ »The time is coming when your enemies will surround you and blockade you with a rampart (wall) on all sides.
