¹ In the eighth month, in the second year of Daryavesh, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

²⁴ Then ceased the work of God's house which is at Jerusalem; and it ceased until the second year of the reign of Daryavesh king of Persia.

¹⁴ The elders of the Jews built and prospered, through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. They built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the decree of Koresh, and Daryavesh, and Artachshasta king of Persia. ¹⁵ This house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Daryavesh the king.

¹ In the second year of Daryavesh the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai, the prophet, to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

¹⁵ in the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Daryavesh the king.

¹⁰ In the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Daryavesh, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying,

²⁰ The word of the LORD came the second time to Haggai in the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying,

⁷ On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Daryavesh, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

¹ It happened in the fourth year of king Daryavesh that the word of the LORD came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.

³⁵ that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berechiah, whom you killed between the sanctuary and the altar.

⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary.' Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.
