¹⁷ Thus you are to tell Joseph, "Now please forgive the transgression of your brothers and their sin, because they did evil to you."ʼ And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

By David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said,] I love you, LORD, my strength. ² The LORD is my Rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my Rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

⁷ The LORD is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him.

¹ Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous. Praise is fitting for the upright. ² Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings. ³ Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

According to Alamoth.] God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ² Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; ³ though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah. ⁴ There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High. ⁵ God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn. ⁶ The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice, and the earth melted. ⁷ The LORD of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

⁷ For thus says the LORD, "Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish, praise, and say, 'For the LORD has saved your people, the remnant of Israel.'

³² 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
