³ Entrust your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established.

⁸ "But as for me, I would seek God. I would commit my cause to God,

²⁸ And you will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways.

⁴ Also delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. ⁵ Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will act.

²² Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

⁶ In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

⁵ Because Aram, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have plotted evil against you, saying, ⁶ "Let's go up against Judah, and tear it apart, and let's divide it among ourselves, and set up a king in its midst, even the son of Tabeel." ⁷ This is what the Lord GOD says: "It shall not stand, neither shall it happen."

²⁵ Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ²⁶ See the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of much more value than they? ²⁷ "And which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his height? ²⁸ And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, neither do they spin, ²⁹ yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. ³⁰ But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? ³¹ "Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' ³² For the unbelievers seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. ³³ But seek first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. ³⁴ Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

⁶ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
