²⁹ The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to evildoers.

³ Is it not calamity for the unrighteous, and disaster for evildoers?

⁶ For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

¹² There evildoers are fallen. They are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.

²⁰ But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of the LORD shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish—vanish like smoke.

⁷ They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion.

⁷ though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all the evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.

²⁶ Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.' ²⁷ But he will reply, 'I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.'

⁸ But to those who are self-seeking, and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness -- wrath and anger, ⁹ affliction and distress, on every human being who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
