⁵ But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?'

⁶² Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

³³ Then Jesus said, "I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.

³ Because he knew that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came forth from God, and was going to God,

³⁶ Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow afterwards."

⁴ And you know the way where I am going." ⁵ Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" ⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

²⁸ You heard how I told you, 'I am going away, and I will come to you.' If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.

¹⁰ about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, and you won't see me any more;

¹⁶ A little while, and you will no longer see me. Again a little while, and you will see me."

²⁸ I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."

⁷ But to each one of us was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ. ⁸ Therefore he says, "When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people." ⁹ Now this, "He ascended," what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. ¹¹ He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

³ He is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification for sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

² looking to Jesus, the founder and completer of the faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
