¹³ "God will not withdraw his anger. The helpers of Rahab stoop under him.

¹² He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

⁹ Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him? ¹⁰ "Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty. ¹¹ Pour out the fury of your anger. Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low.

¹⁰ You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

⁷ For Egypt helps in vain, and to no purpose; therefore have I called her Rahab who sits still.

² Yet he also is wise, and will bring disaster, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against those who help evildoers. ³ Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out his hand, both he who helps shall stumble, and he who is helped shall fall, and they all shall be consumed together.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn't it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?

⁶ But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. ⁷ Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
