¹ When the seventh month had come, and the children of Israel were in their cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.

¹⁴ "You shall observe a feast to me three times a year. ¹⁵ You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out from Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty. ¹⁶ And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field: and the feast of harvest, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field. ¹⁷ Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

²⁹ "It shall be a statute to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble your souls, and shall do no manner of work, both the native and the foreigner who sojourns in your midst:

²⁴ "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

²⁷ "However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. ²⁸ You shall do no manner of work in that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God. ²⁹ For whoever it is who shall not deny himself in that same day; shall be cut off from his people. ³⁰ Whoever it is who does any manner of work in that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people. ³¹ You shall do no manner of work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ³² It shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall deny yourselves. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath." ³³ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ³⁴ "Speak to the children of Israel, and say, 'On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of booths for seven days to the LORD. ³⁵ On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work. ³⁶ Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no regular work. ³⁷ "'These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meal offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day; ³⁸ besides the Sabbaths of the LORD, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to the LORD. ³⁹ "'So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest. ⁴⁰ You shall take on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. ⁴¹ You shall keep it a feast to the LORD seven days in the year: it is a statute forever throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month. ⁴² You shall dwell in booths seven days. All who are native-born in Israel shall dwell in booths, ⁴³ that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.'" ⁴⁴ Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of the LORD.

³ and their meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil, three tenth parts for the bull, two tenth parts for the ram, ⁴ and one tenth part for every lamb of the seven lambs; ⁵ and one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you; ⁶ besides the burnt offering of the new moon, and the meal offering of it, and the continual burnt offering and the meal offering of it, and their drink offerings, according to their ordinance, for a pleasant aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. ⁷ "'On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; and you shall afflict your souls: you shall do no kind of work; ⁸ but you shall offer a burnt offering to the LORD for a pleasant aroma: one young bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old; they shall be to you without blemish; ⁹ and their meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil, three tenth parts for the bull, two tenth parts for the one ram, ¹⁰ a tenth part for every lamb of the seven lambs: ¹¹ one male goat for a sin offering; ¹⁶ and one male goat for a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, the meal offering of it, and the drink offering of it. ¹⁷ "'On the second day you shall offer twelve young bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish; ¹⁸ and their meal offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; ¹⁹ and one male goat for a sin offering; besides the continual burnt offering, and the meal offering of it, and their drink offerings. ²⁰ "'On the third day eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish; ²¹ and their meal offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; ²² and one male goat for a sin offering; besides the continual burnt offering, and the meal offering of it, and the drink offering of it. ²³ "'On the fourth day ten bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish; ²⁴ their meal offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, after the ordinance; ²⁵ and one male goat for a sin offering; besides the continual burnt offering, the meal offering of it, and the drink offering of it. ²⁶ "'On the fifth day nine bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish; ³⁶ but you shall offer a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD: one bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish; ³⁷ their meal offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the ordinance: ³⁸ and one male goat for a sin offering, besides the continual burnt offering, and the meal offering of it, and the drink offering of it. ³⁹ "'You shall offer these to the LORD in your set feasts, besides your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meal offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.'" ⁴⁰ Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the LORD commanded Moses.

¹ Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, to the LORD at Mizpah.

⁷³ So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel, lived in their cities. When the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their cities.

¹⁴ They found written in the law, how that the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month;

⁹ For then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that they may all call on the name of the LORD, to serve him shoulder to shoulder.

⁴⁶ Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

³² And the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

¹⁰ Now I appeal to you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
