²⁴ When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, "Lord, you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them.

¹¹ for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the seventh day, and made it holy.

¹⁵ Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, "The LORD, the God of Israel, who sit above the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

¹⁹ Now therefore, the LORD our God, save us, I beg you, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, LORD, are God alone."

⁶ You are the LORD, even you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their army, the earth and all things that are on it, the seas and all that is in them, and you preserve them all. The army of heaven worships you.

¹⁶ As for me, I will call on God. The LORD will save me. ¹⁷ Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice. ¹⁸ He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, although there are many who oppose me.

⁵ My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. ⁶ He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. ⁷ With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. ⁸ Trust in him at all times, O people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

²⁹ But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me. ³⁰ I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

²⁹ Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe. ³⁰ I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude. ³¹ For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.

⁵ Blessed is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God, ⁶ who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;

¹² "I, even I, am he who comforts you: who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass;

¹⁰ But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, and an everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembles, and the nations are not able to withstand his indignation. ¹¹ You shall say this to them: 'The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.' ¹² He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens:

¹³ Sing to the LORD, praise the LORD; for he has delivered the soul of the needy from the hand of evildoers.

¹⁷ 'Ah, Lord GOD. Look, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm; there is nothing too difficult for you,

¹¹ But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus. ¹² It happened in these days, that he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.

²⁵ But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

⁸ For we do not desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life. ⁹ Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead, ¹⁰ who delivered us out of so great a death, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will also deliver us again; ¹¹ you also helping together on our behalf by your petition; that, for the gift bestowed on us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf.

¹⁶ Rejoice always. ¹⁷ Pray without ceasing. ¹⁸ In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the non-Jewish people might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. ¹⁸ And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
